My favourite plant channel on RUclips…Such knowledge! every time I get a notification I make a cappuccino and sit down with a big smile on my face, can’t understand why your channel doesn’t have more subscribers….well done guys, you have given me so much joy! Greetings from the UK 🥰
Ive yet seen you do a video on benjamina ficus trees.. I'd like to see you do one on the benjamina ficus tree I admire your weatlh of knowledge of plants, thank you!!
I love the ficus lyrata , long time I thought...nahhh, they are so picky and I saw some with only some leafs left on the top. Now I’m a lyrata owner since 6 months and she really exploded. I bought her ( her name is Lydia:) for small money, didn’t look healthy but I thought: okay, you don’t have lot to loose, let’s try. She stands behind a huge bird of paradise and actually gets a lot of sun from a southfacing window, but seems to be very well. I fertilize may be twice a year, but will do it more often now, thank you for your advice.
I BOUGHT THIS FICUS CYATHISTIPULA A FEW DAYS AGO, 5 FT IN HEIGHT FOR ONLY CA$50 IT IS SO GORGEOUS-HEALTHY AND SO BUSHY PLANTS. .... researching how to care for it and came across to your channel and very helpful and lots of informations you shared.
I live in sunny Florida . We see plenty of healthy, tall trees of outdoor Ficus Lyrata, ficus Elastica burgundy and variegated, ficus triangularis variegated and the green version too. So, I don’t understand what “bright indirect light” means when we want to have these plants indoor.
My Ficus Benjamin stays at my balcony until night temp. are above 8°C. It also survived extreme high temp of this summer above 40°C...and it's thriving.
Thanks for showcasing these beautiful Ficus family plants... they're gorgeous but I'm afraid to buy one because of the care requirements, I may change my mind after listening to this video.
Excellent and very informative video. Thank you very much I bought a decent sized Robusta about two months ago, it's beautiful and it's a joy to watch how fast it grows Keep up the good work, guys. Cheers from Denmark 👍
I love ficus family. I have 3 ficus audrey, 5 ficus lyrata, and 1 ficus ciraca. Thank you for your educational information, swedish plantguys, love your channel, good night from Indonesia 🤗
I enjoyed your video even though all my ficus trees are planted in the garden. I have a ficus lyrata bambino with very small leaves. It grows slower than regular ficus. The leaves of all ficus are much closer to each other on the stem when grown outdoors. Thanks for all your great videos
Very helpful videos! Question: I recently bought a Ficus Lyrata. The nursery suggested I wait a year before re-potting it, to give it time to adjust. There are a lot of roots coming out of the drainage holes, though, and I'm wondering if it should be re-potted - ? Thank you, in advance, for any thoughts you can share!
Hi Swedish plant guy! Thank you for your informative videos on plants. I enjoy watching all your channel and I learn a lot from them. I do have a question. I have 4 types of ficus plants. They are in LECA and self watering pots. Can they still get pests? Most all of my plants are in LECA and all are in self watering pots. I have 5 large plants that are still in soil but I do give maintenance to them with mosquito bits and systemic granules. Should I also be treating my plants in LECA to prevent pests?
Thank you for the video! I recently bought a ficus benghalensis ('Audrey') and a ficus altissima ('Yellow Gem'). Wish me luck! 🤞 Have you any pointers on the those?
Always very informative videos👍. It's really true even if i am watching television and if they hv a fiscus lyrata i notice that first. My fiscus has already outgrown its already very huge pot and i can't think of getting a bigger one. Any suggestions
Hi. While I was watching this and just when you talked about pests I noticed video that would be played next. Its called "Why insects do not (and cannot) healthy plants." Funny coincidence :)
Can you give us a like a list of basic things we need to do to care for the indoor non flowering plants? Like water? changing soil? what type and how much näring (supplements) they need? is liquid fertilizer enough?
Can you pleassssee do a video for Money Tree care tips? I have bought a huge Money Tree which put in my bedroom. I am seeing stress on the leaves. I see yellow or yellow and brown leaves. It is on the older and newer leaves. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Can you please provide us advice? I really appreciate your help.
My Ficus Alii grows fast even at 36 Celsius. It is the only room available which has sunlight. Could you let me know issues of high temperature please? I even have philodendron and Dracaena Marginata in same room.
Quick Question for the Lyrata and Elastica. I notice that a lot of plants that are in the stores (including yours) have green smooth stems whereby mine have stems that are more "woody". Is this bad?
My ficus elastica burgundy has grown from 2 ft to 8 ft on the tallest of seven stems and over five feet on the smaller in just one year. But I only water it once every two to three weeks. I have never encountered it needing water often but now it's so large that when I water it every two to three weeks I'm giving it two gallons so maybe that's why
SIR Saw ficus Benjamin in shop and got attracted but my dracena takes the only bright indirect sunlight sunrise window side that I have Can it survive if placed it few meters away?
My ficus plants don't like the 4 hours of western window lighting. Some plants stop growing. They were growing so fast outdoors with 7 hours of indirect outdoor lighting.
I happened to come across your channel and ohh my... I'm so grateful to have found you. Super informative and such detailed explanation with reasoning.. Thank you so much. I found you a week back and watched almost all the videos in this short period of time. 🤎
Ok so my fiddle leaf was doing so well putting out new leaves every week. But I think I prune it when I shouldn’t have and that may have stunted the growth. It has not given any leave in months and it’s sitting in front of a large south facing window. Idk what to do.
Sorry, but I found this video boring. First of all, it’s mis-titled. It doesn’t talk about his favorite varieties of ficus until near the end. Instead, most of the video talks about how to “care for your ficus plants”, how to water, giving them light, growth, blah, blah, blah. Nothing new here….the information he gives applies to most houseplants. Second, his presentation is pedantic. He teaches in an annoying didactic fashion, talking down to his audience as if they were children. My least favorite video on houseplants on RUclips.

Good morning 🌄.I'm watching from the Philippines.
Smaller ficuses that I like are Ficus triangularis (variegata or not) and Ficus microcarpa. Very neat for smaller apartments. Also, f*** spider mites.

Hi, thank you for this interesting video. Could you prepare a video about ficus palmeri (rock fig), please?
Thanks ! I like how detailed your videos are. Can you please address "Ficus carica" ? 😊
Can you make a video about how to propagate ficus? Some people use bags and I wonder if that is necessary
Tackar så mycket 🤗
Edema... I never knew a plant could have this condition. Thank you for the explanation and information. I have variegated elastica. It is marvelous!

I find Ficus Lyrata very ugly, I cant be the only one. Very informative video tho...
I don't find it ugly, but I just don't want one. I do have a Ficus elastica robusta and a tineke, though.
Action how propagation please 👍
Brilliant 👏
