Lost all the leaves from my FLF and was going to trash it! Glad I didn’t, leaves are growing from the bottom and they are healthy.
I have watched so many fiddle leaf fig videos this video truly has been the most practically comprehensive video I have found especially on the explanation of brown spots and plant temperament. Thank you!!
After watching this video, I went from knowing nothing to expert on the FLF in 40 min! Thank you!
Likewise! This video saved my FLF’s life 🙂

Not to mention he is cute too ♡♡♡
I bought one small (not bambino though) last September. The roots where really small.
When I researched online i realised that my country, Iceland, is maybe not the best place for this plant but I put it in my brightest window (under a radiator).
In the beginning of January it started to grow a new leaf!! I was so surprised 😃
No grow light (and we are talking about only 3-5 hours a daylight in December. )
The new leaf is standing upright and growing and my ficus is just perfect even though there is almost no sun at this time of year
I’m really proud and can’t wait for the summer!!
Congrats! Sounds like SOMETHING unknown is happening there with your Fig tree...against all odds, it's thriving.
Must be all the love ❤️ 😍
By far the BEST video about Ficus Lyrata thank you for the comprehensive explanation! 🌺
Great informative video. I love that you’re not trying to get people to buy things but just giving solid, sound info.
Please do a video on string of pearls.
yes, I like this video.it saves my plants live.
I realized that after watching this I have a common fiddle and two bambino fiddles! Thank you so much, so much helpful information!
You create some very long videos but I find them absolutely useful - definitely enjoying your ‘everything you need to know’ series. Could you please do one on rubber plant?
😊😢
Great video! I think I have a Bambino, it's a happy plant and growing beautifully, but it has smaller leaves. I thought it was not a happy guy but it is growing so I left it where it is and now I know it's not going to be a giant.
Thank you for sharing your information and I really enjoy all your videos 🌻
Man, you are a MASTER!!! Totally plant genius. Thank you for this lesson! Amazing.
I have been searching few hours for a good guide on fiddle leaf fig. Its the best .you save my one. Thanks a lot.
I had a 1ft tall bambino that left outside under the rain and sun (more than 30c here), I fed it with sheep manure but it was mostly ignored. It grew into 4 feet tall and branched 4 new stems at once! I was ecstatic, I repotted it in a big pot and moved its location. Then it died! If I had watched your video earlier, I’d have saved my bambino 😭. Great detailed content!
People say the bambinos grow slower than the regular fiddle figs with my regular fiddle fig has grown maybe an inch in the last year and my Bambino that I’ve only had for a month has grown 4 inches in one month . So maybe I just got one with good genetics. But it’s growing like a weed!! Sorry about your bambino. Pinch the bud off at the beginning of spring and you should get about 3 new ones each time. Then you don’t have to prune and lose height.
thanks for sharing. very informative
Usually I'd have to research tons of plant videos for care info. You are now my go to person. You're like a plant encyclopedia. Other videos leave out critical info. You get to the point and cover it all. Thank you very much.
thanks, for this overwhelming
video, i just bought 2 plants
of the fiddle leaf fig, and it
was a very good time at the
same time you are showing
your video about this plant.
it very useful and interesting
knowing very well on how to
take care of this beautiful
and gorgeous plant. appreciate it very much.
You guys are without doubt are so informative and the best on RUclips for me…I have watches 100s of plant videos…only subscribe to yours now, you’re the best…please keep them coming! 🥰
You are very knowledgeable in this thing. I give you 10/10
Great video! The best I've seen so far on fiddle leaf figs
Leghorn fern care
OMG It’s like the FLF is the high-drama diva of all houseplants, and the ZZ plant is the chill friend that nothing fazes. Fill my house with ZZ please.
I love zz's, they are so easy!
Nothing more rewarding having a finicky plant thrive in your care 🙃
Fantastiskt information Du gör av alla växter. Bästa, noggrannaste råd man nånsin kan få till livs. Stort Tack!✨
I saved this video in my RUclips library and watch it not one time to learn and keep info about plant care into my head 😍
BTW - I have tried to clean the leaves of my Ficus Lyrata with the inner part of the banana peel, as you've suggested. WOW!!! What a difference! Will always do that. Thanks!
Cool! I’ve yet to try it
@Potty Mouthed Planter darn! I don't eat bananas 😒 I used to, but their high sugar content is a turn-off for me,
so, I stopped buying them.
They are high in phosphorous -supposedly good for us to eat for that reason - and I wonder if maybe the phosphorous is one reason the Fig leaves like the banana peel, as well.
I'm thinking I may get a few really over-ripe ones to use for wiping the peel on my Fig tree leaves (about once a month) and I now have 2 of them 😅.
Glad I watched this...I'm new to the Fig tree community, and was just about ready to spring for some of that figleaf shine spray😒 - now I know better👍
I wish I found this video right when I got mine. This was awesome!!!!😊
I just got one small plant couple days ago. I’m so glad I found your video. 🙋🏻♀️🇨🇦🙏
Just beginning to place plants in my home and wouldn’t you know, I brought home two FLF not knowing what divas they are. But so far so good. I need to know about trimming/cutting them. Do you have a video I can view? I understand I can stimulate the growth of new branches? I love this video and the presenter was wonderful. Very calming and relaxing. Much appreciated in these days of COVID
Very beneficial information. Thank you.
This video was very informative.
Love your video! I bought two last summer, and had all the problems you mentioned. After one year of “experiments”, my plants are finally happy again. Every new owner needs to watch this video.
This video is so complete!!!
Any plant I have that has any issues, you are my go to channel for solutions...
Keep up the great work...

Fantastic video! Extremely informative, and by far the best I've seen online. Appreciate the thoroughness and tips!
Non-Swedish weather checking in here. I have one growing in my yard, under another, much larger tree. I've never done anything for it for as long as I've lived here, and it seems happy enough. Although, being outdoors in a windy city, its leaves have a few holes and other signs of damage here and there.
Very nice.. Lots of information
Thanks
This was extremely helpful: thorough, organized, well-presented. My Ficus lyratas and I thank you!!
If you've not already done one, I'd appreciate seeing a video on Alocasia care. Thanks for considering.
Very nice video, complete.
I’ve watched this several times in the last month and I learn new information that I didn’t catch the last times. Thank you for thoroughly going over this Diva of a plant.
Thanks for the info.
Your information is very precise and thorough. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this Excellent video
Love this channel & knowledge & passion & directness!!! Thank you ❤
I 100% agree with the comment below. So happy. ☺️🧚♀️👍🏼
God, I love this channel! I no longer killing my plants :D thank you!!!
Love ur video. Ficus Lyrata is one of the first batch plants I got, in my case it glow well close to southwest window( 4hours sunshine after noon) without applying fertilizer.I didn't even move it in hot summer when it's 38-40 degree, it might leave a little dark dot in leaf but almost ignorable. This plant is not fragile and I feel it's quite adaptable to environment, I had my air condition on in summer and winter, and sometimes I forgot to water. I did notice the bottom leaves got brown a bit in winter, but overall it's healthy. It only stop glowing when the pot is too small for it.So do remember to change pot, it grows fast.
Excelentes sugerencias....muy buen video ....muchas gracias muy útil.🌱🌿💯😘🙋♀️
I learned a lot. Easy to understand a good teacher.
Thank you for your masterclass presentation. Extremely informative and I think I will have to watch this twice just to take it all in. I just got a ficus lyrata about two days ago for my birthday while I am thrilled but I also do not have any experience in taking care of it. Your presentation is extremely helpful. It appears to be very sensitive and one has to take the time to find the right balance on every front to keep the plant happy and thriving. Maybe we should rename it to be Fickle Fiddle :D
interesting video...you are my Google of plants 😀
I never saw such a great video on Ficus lyrata.
I didn't even know there is the Bambino variety. It turns out I have the Bambino fiddle leaf fig, thank you so much, the video is great!! I also heard that it gets new leaves rarely so when I got mine sometime in August I didn't even hoped I'd get new leaves, and then at the end of October (Croatian weather, it was not too hot nor too cold) it got literally 4 new leaves in like 10 days. I just changed its position and actually moved it in a slightly colder room of the house but on the south window and that happened. I had to share this because I couldn't believe it and was hoping to hear your thoughts about that. Thank you for the video once more! I would love to hear your tips about the Ficus elastica :)
Thanks again for the Video I love it
Unbelievable 'iv learnt a lot from u thank you

Excellent video and info 😊
Fascinating information 🌻
Amazing Video!
If you plan to do a ficus lyrata Q&A in the future, would you please provide tips for shaping the tree? I have a regular one (not the Bambino) grown for 4-5 years. It’s relatively healthy but not in prime appearance. I’ve recently pruned it for the first time (how brave) and patiently waiting for some even wilder branches! Thanks!
Excellent! Thank you!
I had a fiddle leaf about thirty years ago and I gave it away. Just bought another one with two shoots about five feet tall for about 49.99. I saw the local grocery store has the bambino ones about a foot tall for 9.99. I waited a couple of weeks before I watered it. I prefer taking my plants outside and watering the leaves with a hose. I have a tray with wheels so I can move the plant outside for its waterings. Since I live in Scottsdale, the house gets cooler than the plant would like, however, I do spray the plant with water each day and wipe the dust off the leaves at least once per week. So far so good after about five weeks. When I repot, I like to use clay pots so the water wicks out of the plant quicker. I might try the banana trick on one of the lower leaves. There was slight browning on a couple of the lower leaves when I bought the plant. Hard to tell with these plants if they are happy or not. Thanks for the tips guys.
So spraying the plant with water every day would help the plant with the lack of humidity in the house? I bought mine yesterday and even though the video is very informative I feel so scared. This is my first time taking of this plant as I can see it is very sensitive and delicate. I have this tip to get very shining leaves. I take the egg white and a cotton ball and rub it the leaves and you get a beautiful shine leaves. And I did it yesterday after buying the ficus Lyrata plant. Please let me know if the spray with water is ok because I don’t have a good place for it and the humidity is low inside the house. Thanks
Great video
VERY inspiring plant video my new friend . From Philippines thanks
Thanks. I have never had such a diva plant!!
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. Looking forward for any topic on Ficus Elastica (Rubber Tree like Tineke and Ruby) and Aglaonema plants. You're great! Looking forward for more to learn! I really appreciate this channel.
Wonderful lesson. Thank you immensely. Warm regards :-)
You are the man! Watched a bunch of plant care videos but your really knocks all the others out of the park. Best thing I take from your videos compared to others is when others are talking about plant care a lot of it is speculation like they dont know 100% where your all over it from all angles. Keep it up you got a subscriber for life
so grateful for your education! struggling with my fiddle leaf fig.....but now feel a bit prepared to tackle it and help it along. i hope!! lol
i love it..thnx for these info..
Thanks a lot,Might you can make video about Alocasia amazonica.
I love many of your videos on these last two weeks. I love how logic your explanation and easy to understand better about houseplants and their environments. I wonder if you also did this kind of thorough explanation about Ficus Elastica and also Ficus Triangularis. Those are plants that are very generous but also have some unique problem and character based on evironment. Will be lovely and completed knowledge if I could find those knowledge from you. I haven't met any video as cool as yours. I love every detail, and I also keep my mind open every time I watch your video, and lastly is I love experimenting after watch your genious information. Cool. Greet from Indonesia.
Once again, such a great video - I'm so grateful that I can learn so much here. My Fiddle leaves hang all down, exept the new ones.
I don't dare searching a new place, because its autumn. Maybe more frequent waterin will solve it....
