This is possibly the most underrated channel on RUclips right now. I know it sucks about Dirt Everyday but you're putting out content that's just as good as far as production quality and caliber of projects go. In a year we'll be celebrating your first million subs, looking back at these humble beginnings fondly.
Great work Dave. Really proud of you for keeping up the momentum.

This is awesome. I'm so glad you're still making videos. I've been an import tuner guy my whole life and got into 4 wheeling a couple years ago. All my friends had triple locked land cruisers, so i bought a non running 1994 land rover discovery for $800 lol. Now it's on 35's, 4.73s, arb front and rear, 14" of travel, caged, and its all you Freds fault haha. Hopefully one day ill get accepted on Ultimate Adventure. Just in the last month i've been watching more of your channel and for my dads 70th birthday i got him a 89 4runner that had already been SAS'd, has marlin double cases, old school Marlin leaf springs, and i just did my first ever 4x4 fab project and welded in low range off road rear shock mount, tabs, and installed some old Poly Performance BBC shocks. We're heading to Hollister this weekend to try it out and my dad is beyond excited. Even just little videos like this are super helpful and help provide motivation to get out and wrench. Keep up the good work!

I’m pretty sure I saw someone towing this truck in mid April on east bound i80 through Fairfield CA. As soon as I saw it I called my brother to tell him lol It made my day seeing it in person, even if it was for just a few seconds in the freeway. I drove a Mazda b2200 in 2010 right out of high school and planned on doing a bunch of work to it that never happened.. so I sort of have a personal attachment to this project. I ended up buying a 85 Toyota pickup, 22re, already 4x4 and solid axle so I ended up selling the b2200. Good luck with your channel!

My first vehicle was an '89 Mazda B2600i 4wd. My dad bought it new at the local Mazda dealer and I was lucky to have him give it to me as my first ride. It was red, sunrise red to be exact just like yours. Absolutely loved that truck! That 12 valve, 2.6 could keep up with the small V6s of the day. The 2.6 fuel injected engine was first offered in '89, and it was a MAZDA engine. Prior to that they used 2.6 carb engines from Mitsubishi in the 4wds. I've been a Mazda fan since and have had a few more Mazdas over the years. Anyway, thanks for the trip down memory lane lol. Yours is very cool, look forward to more vids of it in action.

@@thedirtheadshed I'm super curious about how it would work with IFS toyotas. Nate over at dirt lifestyle put long travel on his brand new taco, and his biggest issue with it is that the springs don't want to compress like they would with a straight axle rig. I feel like air ride could fix that, but I've never seen it done on an IFS 4x4. I have a 1st gen taco, too. pneumatic helper springs in the rear are common, but full air ride would be sorta revolutionary in that community.

We put some 33’s on (cut the fenders to suit) and wound the torsion bars up and extended the rear shackles to give it around about a 2 inch lift. When will you have merch up and running? "Airbag the world" t-shirt perhaps?

I'm so damn torn between whether I love the Grande or Spaghetti more - they're both exactly what's up my alley! Totally dig your style, I've always been into doing things 'different'(including a long time interest in bags!) so I totally get it. Doing what's already been figured out is only so interesting, break new(or rarely traveled at least) ground!

Love this truck! Maybe tell the wife you need to build another but make a build series now that your on RUclips 😁, similar to how Paul at Fabrats did the FJ. Funny I remember him referring to you as he attempted bags in the rear of his truck, which I believe this is the truck he was inspired by. Either way can't wait to see more!

Love this build! Dave, it would be cool if you did a more in depth vid on how you use airbags in your crawlers. I'm sure there would be a ton of interest in learning more about how you set this up.

you can totally build a rig of this caliber. Starting with a Jeep or Toyota would take a lot of the guess work out though.

I'd love to see a more in depth look at how you set up your air suspensions like you did on maz grande and mom's spaghetti. Keep up the good work.

I’m from San Diego and when I bought my 71 burb I was looking forward to taking it to your shop, but you were already gone. I ended up taking it to Marcos at M and M fabworks in Chula Vista.
