- Had a bit of an editing error the last time I tried to upload this. Rookie mistake LOL
However, it's fixed and back up! We chose to fish a new body of water after a tough start to the morning, made a decision to hit a bigger river and man did it pay off. The fishing was slow until the end of the day but the last hour was insane. Landed one of the biggest brown trout of the year! These fish CHEWED the new rapala countdown elite!
If you aren’t fishing the jerkbait for trout, you are missing fish. Not saying it’s the only thing that works, but there’s a time and place for each bait. Jerkbait fishing for trout is some of the most fun you can have!

Congrats on your 1.7K+ subs!!!
Thanks pal!! I’m super stoked. Excited and hopeful for the future!
Hell ya nice work. That trout t boned that fucker. I been using the count down elite lately and been loving them. Big browns just t bone them every time.
They can’t stand them! I swear each fish that hits it tries to kill it 😂😂
I was using a #1 Black Fury on a brownie stream. Cast by a worn and sunken cedar log. A 15" brown smashed the lure, but as it got into the current, it felt too heavy. I also thought I might have foul-hooked it. Nope! When I landed it, I found a half-digested six-inch trout sticking out of its gullet! Goes to show how browns are the chain pickerel of the trout stream.
No way?! That’s a sick story!!
@@fishkrazed Another time, I was using a #0 Aglia when a small rainbow hit it. It splashed across the surface. What looked like a log detached itself from bottom and started slashing at the rainbow. It was a brown probably 5 to 7 pounds and 30" long. This was in a stream maybe ten feet wide and one to three feet deep. The lurch you get in your belly when you see that ...
@@RideAcrossTheRiver dude I would’ve lost it!!! Might have to go back with a big glide bait! 😂😂😂
@@fishkrazed I have an old trout fishing book from the 1950s where the guy used TARPON flies to catch big browns on small streams. If there are 24" browns in a stream, there's a ten-pounder somewhere too.
@@RideAcrossTheRiver mannnn I couldn’t imagine. I’ve seen a couple 24’s in my day, but I haven’t been lucky enough to catch one yet. My best is 22.5”, all small stream stuff.
NOTHIN BETTER THAN FISHBOY AND FOOTBALL!! YEAHHHHHH!!
LETS GOOOO
Nice fishing in that area pretty stream ! Drag way to loose though buddy 😂 gotta get fish in net quicker don’t wanna take life outta the fish .
Thanks pal! It’s debateable though I believe. Warmer weather I agree 100%. Water temps are cold though, light line, barbless hooks, can’t force em out. Gotta play em a little lol
What state are we fishing in?
WV and the surrounding states 😁
@@fishkrazed nice 👍🏽 yeah I’m in oregon and our creeks and river system is way different awesome fishing my guy
Mannnn I’d love to get out that way! Maybe one day. 🔥🔥
