Great video! I'll add that for anyone who removed the screws before realizing they were different sizes like I did, the longer ones are the three in the back of the laptop by the fan. Edit: If you get a "Battery not detected" message when you boot up, double check the connection. This happened to me the first time and it turns out the plug wasn't all the way into the socket on the board. A good way to check before you put everything back together is snap the cover back on and before you put all the screws in, plug it in and see if the light comes on by the power socket. Then disconnect it again before putting the screws back in. This check will save you a few minutes in case the connection isn't snug and you need to push it in a little more. Speaking from personal experience here!
I just wanted to say thanks. I got the battery for 32 bucks on Amazon, followed your instructions and everything worked great. I feel like my laptop has a new lease on life. I was about to go spend 1500 bucks on a new one too. The connection is kinda hard to get out and FYI, if you try this don't pull on the wires to get it out. They will pop out. I dint have a magnification headset but it would have helped. I used a credit card to open it up bc I don't have a pic. Just take your time and push on the plastic piece with a small metal pick to get the connection out. Take your time. It's kinda stuck in there.
thanks so much sir -- i have this exact lenovo yoga model and have noticed the battery is pretty much dead at this point unless not plugged into the charger, so this puts my mind at ease as a relatively simple fix
Watched this to change my Yoga 14 battery. Not easy at all. Screws were covered by rubber feet and didn’t realize it. Finally when I got it off it was very difficult to get the bottom casing off the laptop. Every step was difficult and too much to describe. But this video was helpful.
Thank you for posting this! My computer barely holds for 20min now and I want to replace the battery but I don't know if it's possible, may I ask what's the exact model of the laptop being used here? Mine is a Yoga 710-15IKB, I heard some models battery cannot replace and I'm not sure if mine can be replaced, do you know where I can check that?
I have ordered a battery for YOGA few years ago, after doing the replacement like you did, the battery is not able to charge. Have you heard any problem may cause this? I think my new battery is not from OEM.
Most likely connection is bad or you may have broke the battery cables or battery is bad. Either way I would return this battery and get new one to double check and check your battery connections with multimeter to make sure wire connections are fine.

Did you update battery driver? You might need to do that.
third party batteries are a well known scam
Having trouble getting the battery cable out please help?
Can a defective battery cause the fans on the laptop to keep running? Or would that be issue with the fans?

Hard to see in the video because your hand is covering how you remove the cable
