Velocity modelling in seismic data interpretation

through my career I learnt that velocity always degrades with high uncertaint away from the center of the structure such as Folded traps /Build Up reefs structure. The closer you get to the flanks of the structrue > the more depth uncertainty

It depends on the way you calculate the velocity.
If You are using wells for velocity calculation: the more the distance from the well - the more the uncertanty
