What if you don’t seen indentions? Mine is a 2019 1500 Limited
There should be a template.Mine was a spray in bedliner that had the indentations.
Pop rivets seem a little week. That won’t fall apart when you hit some bumps that jostle the load?
I have used it often. No ptoblem so far.
Can you easily remove it to load big material then snap it back on ?
Yes its very easy to remove.
Why would they require a rivet? I have a lot of tools, but not a rivet gun.
Drill a hole and use a self tapping screw.

U weren't scared of hitting the tail light electrical cables
No wasn't worried about tail light cables. Didn't drill in that far
