Nice! One suggestion…use equate Walmart brand trash bags. Half the price of Glad, same product.
Sounds good to me brother.
This is a WAYY better divider than the plastic one from ford. The best part is if you actually need to use the bed you can simply pull it out and place it on the side. Brilliant man!!
Much appreciated my friend. I tried to make it easy and way more solid than one that can be purchased aftermarket. Thanks for the feedback brother.
Good ol' wood! Seriously thanks for this. I feel better knowing I'm not the only guy who refuses to spend 2000 for spring-loaded roller bearing glam.
You’re definitely not lying. Solid and never fails. I always say keep it simple. Thanks for the feedback brother.
Simple, easy. Just the way I like it. I hope you painted it black. Thanks.
Thanks for the support my brother. I didn’t paint it black because it was treated wood. I was thinking of making another one and burning in a logo or something to that effect on the wood. God bless my friend.
A buddy of mine showed me this a few years back. I didn’t own a truck back then, so I figured I’d make one for my current truck. Good idea to use cardboard to match the curvature 👍🏾. I’m gonna wrap mine in speaker box carpet and add a couple small d-rings to be able to bungiecord stuff as well.
@briangarcia2358 glad to help brother. Now you got me thinking of the speaker carpet now lol. Thanks for the ideas.
@@MrV2u I’ve wrapped lots of wood pieces in my off-road van using gorilla glue spray and that grey speaker carpet. Super cheap and hides all the wood imperfections
@briangarcia2358 yeah I’m definitely going to do it too. Thanks for the tips brother.
Well why didn’t I think of this on my own? Very nice video, super easy project thanx!
You’re very welcome brother. Thanks for the feedback.
Omg 12 years with an f150 and i didnt know the bed already came with those slots for dividers! I didnt know this about pickup trucks
It’s crazy huh. All the brands have their own spacing and setups. Glad I could help out brother.
I don't know if you mentioned it but owner's manuals will often give measurements. My Ranger's manual gave the lengths of 2x6 to add a 2nd level to the bed to carry full 4x8 sheets. I am going to check mine. If not I will measure. Thanks! I had forgotten all about things like this in the bed.
I’ve never even checked my manual out. I got to look into it thanks for the info brother. Let me know how you make out.
Nice job. Thanks for taking the time to make and share.
You got it my friend and thanks for the comment.
Great ideas here. I checked out 2x12 today at the yard and that thing is heavy. Double checking my Tacoma's bed tomorrow that I have the notches that this Ram does. If not, probably looking more into a net. Worried about your thumbs though. My uncle was a career carpenter for 30 years and lost a thumb doing things less risky than some of the moves in this video. It happens quick. Stay safe.
You can use 2x anything to save weight. I’m pretty sure most pickups gave those slots. Let me know when you check. Yeah I was more focused on the video than being safe. Thanks for the info, have a great Christmas my friend.
One safety tip for DIY out there. NEVER cut towards yourself with a power tool. ALWAYS cut away from your body, limbs, etc.
Lol your correct sir. Thanks for the pointer.
Seriously use some $5 clamps
Same with utility knives!
Nice Wrangler Duratrac! Best tire ever!
I wish they had them for 22 inch rims. These nitto ridge grapplers are pure trash.
Nice one mate. You have inspired sort it on my own pick up.
Thats awesome mate, let me know how you make out.
That's awesome man. I'm gonna try that. Thanks brother.
Glad to hear brother. Let me know how you make out. Thanks for the feedback.
1 thing not mentioned, the rubber piece isn't necessary if you have a spray in liner. If so, theres no need to cut a 1/2 inch off
You are correct sir, good point.
Inspired me!
Good deal my friend.
Nice, simple,@ effective!
Thanks my friend. Works like a charm.
Thank you - very helpful
You got it my friend.
Liked it...and the work to prep it was real helpful...
I really appreciate it brother. Glad to help and if you have any questions I’m always around for advice.
A for effort and thanks for sharing. But I definitely took some inspiration from the video and realized what I didn't want to happen with my project.
What was that brother?
This is great, thanks. I'll be attempting this today.
Measure twice brother before you cut. Let me know how you make out or if you have questions. Good luck
@@MrV2u I actually measured then cut a small length of wood first, then used that to get the width right on the larger sleeper. It worked well - I put some felt on each end and I have a rubber mat on the tub. I used a 50mm wide sleeper which is the same width as the recess in the tub. Happy days, thanks again!
@@themictionary awesome brother. Thanks for the update. Enjoy that truck.
I’m amazed this guy still has all his fingers.
Yeah, wasn’t my best use of a saw but I’m 10 fingers strong still. lol
Wondered if I was the only one thinking that!!!!
May not be rocket science to you, but it seems a to me!!😂😂. To start off with, I don’t even own a jigsaw….so that should tell you something, right?!?!
You think the guys at ACE Hardware might could cut it for me? Do they do that sort of thing for their customers?
I try to make my videos as thorough as possible for those who don’t know brother. I know for a fact Home Depot will cut the wood for you, or they might have a hand saw there for you to use. Let me know how you make out and thanks for the feedback my friend.
Great idea!!!
Thanks brother.
I would do this is I didn’t have a swing case in my bed. I just use a storage bin bungee’d to one of my tie-downs for groceries 😂
Lol that would work as well. Enjoy that truck brother.
If it gets wet does it expand? Thanks for the great video!
@@WilliamHause-bw9in glad to help my friend. I used pressure treated lumber so it’s water proof. Still holding up great to this day.
Nice work
Thanks brother, I appreciate the feedback.
Excellent! Thank you!
You got it my friend. Let me know how you make out when you make yours.
Where is this truck bed liner?? That’s what will protect the paint
You would think with a $67k truck it would of came lined. I’m going to line it myself soon. Stay tuned for the video.
Super helpful!
Your very welcome brother.
Great Job!!
Thanks York.
Using the bottom of a cup to round off that corner on the board would be a quick way to get it done.
That’s a great option. I wanted a more exact fit brother.
@@MrV2u gotcha, I thought your board didn't sit flush on the bottom, my bad.
that's exactly what i been thinking of doing. because i don't have my other car
Get er done brother. Let me know how you make out.
Use the proper jigsaw blade.
@@wk7060 good idea
yessir....💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Thanks brother.
Man if I got my 2017 Titan used in 2021 and thanfully it has a drop in liner, i don't think i could throw shit in the bed with bare paint. I got those groves on the liner but fucked up and cut the wood without pressing the liner hard against the bed for a true measurement 😂😂
Got a 7 year old and now a newborn so mom rights in the back so i throw the groceries in the front seat but it's limited. Need a little grocery divider for now till little man is cool riding solo without mom riding in the back.
Congratulations on the newborn brother. Yeah I’m going to make a video soon on lining the bed lol. I have a full truck with the family so my only option for going shopping was the bed. If you’re so inclined you can even cut a couple boards and screw them into the wood to make dividers. Then it might make it a little difficult to get it in and out. Your lil man is going to grow up fast so enjoy it every step of the way.
Thanks…!!!
You got it brother !
My neighbor did the same thing, but he sprayed the wood with rhino liner coating.
Never thought of that! Sounds promising though.
Nice.
Thanks brother.
Measure twice cut once.....
Absolutely brother.
Sup bro would it work without having to round out the corner edges?
Yeah it’ll work no problem. I just wanted it to look a little nicer.
@@MrV2u thank you 👍🏼
Why are we worried about scratching the bed. It's going to get scratched.
You can do what you want bro. I gave up trying to prolong the inevitable. A leaf landing on my tailgate a scratched it. 😂
100%
Thank Mark.
Ground control to major Tom
David Bowie ?
Is it just me or does it look like he cut that thing too short?
Not at all, there is room for the molding that I accounted for. It’s snug as you can see in the end.
New York?
Absolutely brother
@@MrV2u nice! Wife is from cutchogue. I'm from the south. Met a lot of good and kind people up there, sometimes more so than my fellow southerners. Be safe!
@@seraph1926 yeah upstate New York is completely different than the city. Where down south? I’m looking to leave New York in the future. Thanks brother you stay safe as well.
Good lord! Make it longer so we can see a total of 42 advertisements...
Lol I’ll try for my next video.
Lol all that time for cutting a 2x10? Waste of time
Sort of like me reading this comment
Well that was a giant fail
How you figure? It does what I need it to do.

David Bowie is back.
@@MrV2u😝 Good vid man I'm gonna make something like this👍
