The best invention would be a pickup truck anyone can afford.
Oh so true
Complaining just because a PU costs as much as a house...what's wrong with an 8 year loan with payments of $700 a month
Maybe one that doesn't turn to rust in 10 years.
They do - it’s called a matchbox
Those Japanese kei trucks that can only be imported after 25 years come pretty close to that. Just gotta drive on the British side of the vehicle. I really think the Daihatsu Midget 2 is pretty cool but I’m not sure if I could fit in one.
I keep a simple wooden stepstool in my truck to get into the bed, it was like $20.00. Used the same one in 3 different trucks
Never thought of that. Thanks.
I bought 1 about 35 years ago when the price was only $5 at the local 5 & dime. It still works great after getting my 4th pickup truck.
Drywall bucket!
Fingers crossed that the plastic fold up stool I use has that lifespan.
Yeah, I have a milk crate that works great for that. It has also found its way into several of my trucks over the past 20 years.
when i was a kid it was just easy to step on tire and into truck bed. i miss those days
I still do that in my 70s. You need a simple flexibility exercise routine.
The bedslide is cool but too unaffordable for what it is. I built one for about $200.
My truck with a cab high camper shell has the Bedrug installed inside and its an awesome product. It matches the gray carpet on the inside of the shell too. Makes it nice to sleep on or hauling items without them sliding around. If it gets dirty, you can rinse it out or even vacuum it.
It's a crying shame that standard work trucks are now so high off the ground you need a freaking built-in ladder to access the bed.
i just climb on the tire
@@politerudeboi6898 Well, I made a living out of standard work trucks for over 30 years, and I remember when you could just reach in and get what you needed out of one, or even just step up into the bed of one from the ground. Right before I retired, the new ones were requiring you to use a step ladder just to get something out of the tool box behind the cab. It's a crazy world.
@@ralphcantrell3214 i like my tacomas high clearance due to my off road neighborhood in a forest but i do understand why a lower truck would also have its place in the field
I had a bedrug bed liner and the rollers from the automatic car wash damaged it. Best to have a cover if you get the bedrug liner.
Those truck tails would look fabulous on a Carolina squat truck. They would come in handy in a walmart parking lot too... for everyone to dump their trash in.
I'm not sure why they are in this video. His link takes you to a startup site where it says they didn't reach their funding goals and that was back in 2019.
LOL 😂, I'll just put my stuff in the bed , the soul reason that I bought the truck to begin with.
I have the full bed rug, painted to match tri fold tonneau cover (white) cross bars, tie down rails, rhino rack and bike carrier.
I worked cattle in New Mexico and would have LOVED the second truck with water storage and spare tire lift. ALL roads were 5mph rock strewn hell on wheels.
Mean the old rule driving 4 or 40 creep over it or fly over it grew up desert so alot of roads were dirt ones that were used often county would come out and mist with oil..as it was driven over it would pack down
I just put my 20 gallon fresh water storage tank under my toolbox along with the pump. But it didn't cost me hundreds extra or thousands extra.
When I worked cattle I used a horse.
Bedslide, or something like it, has been around for at least 11 or 12 years. I used to work with a guy who had one of these in his Dodge.
We had them on pickups in the fire department 20 years ago (not that brand, but a roll-out tray like that)
The truck tail would wear away your paint eventually especially after some dirt gets behind it.
Not a worry, it would be stolen in a week.
What keeps the lid closed,I didn't see a latch?
Sure makes a truck look nice tho
That crane looked awesome
The truck tail could, with slight modifications, could carry your trash cans to the main road by by hooking the handle on the back of your truck
That's what kids are for
@@crashweekly7925 doesn’t work when you raise self sufficient ones that move out and start their own families.
Those boxes are called canopy’s and they are everywhere down here in Australia
The truck's tail will eventually wear away your paint, especially once some dirt gets behind it.
I love my bed rug. Had it on my last 2 trucks and I’d never have another without it. I load dirt bikes, haul furniture, sit on it at camp fires. Beyond amazing. Soft on the knees, makes the bed flat, things don’t slide around or get scratched. I just hose it off or blow it clean with a leaf blower and it looks like the day I bought it. Great product.
I'm just curious, where are you putting loads that need to stay dry then after it rains and that rug is soaked?
@@Grimmsha72 I have a hard, roll up tonneau cover.
My bed rug covers the tailgate and bottom, not the sides. I don’t see the need for the sides and this I can easily remove if I need to but never have. Great thing as well is it keeps dust from getting up into the box from above the tail gate. I put luggage and bedding back there and drive on gravel roads and have almost zero dust or water. It’s like having a massive trunk.
Most of these are basically non u.s. and are used for every day or coming out of beta stage. I personally have inquired and purchased from 3 companies. Just keep in mind the cost and customs.
thank you very much for the support
Great ideas! And thanks for including the prices!
im inspired cant belive i never thought of making a bedslide! i have a welder the concept seems simple enough
Bedslides have been around since 2002. I have seen them installed in Chevy Avalanches back in 2002.
I put cardboard in my bed and load rock on it, when I get to the job I just backup and stop quick and then I can pull it out.. I have a bedliner that is very slick.
Long before then - I worked with some at a telephone company in the 1970's. They were steel, not aluminum, but they worked great.
The truck tail is the best one yet I’ve seen on this video
Those rear facing off-road lights on that bumper would come in handy, but not for off-road use, for tailgaters.
Anyone who puts a rug in the box of their truck doesn't understand what a truck is for lol.
I had a friend who's dad had his carpeted and extra shelf built in for sleeping. He didn't use his truck as a truck. But there may be other work purposes to needing a carpet, I just don't know
DOM tubing, sheet metal, and a millermatic can make all of those
Why would you carpet your truck bed? Rhino liner is sooooo much better and prevents rust as well as trys to prevent damage to the bed itself.
I want to see a truck bed toolbox that slides to the rear of the truck bed and back to the front.
Why does the side access not work?
@@deansmits006 No clue what you are talking about and why are you asking me?
The second product is a tray and canopy on a 79 series land cruiser they are everywhere in Australia in fact I have one on my D max
Very cool 👍🏻
You can use a wifi home security cam and a jump box for a backup camera for under $50 new for both
‘Do you know why I stopped you? You’re dropping ammo all over the interstate. BTW, is this rifle yours?’
LOL 😂, I'll keep my gun or guns within easy reach . Not where someone will smash into it .
Cool
In the 70’s these vehicles were called vans
I call these new vehicles station wagons. Trucks have two doors and can haul an entire bedroom set in one trip.
I’m not impressed until the thing can fly!
So we hit a new low turning manly trucks into
Lego
- dudes who put other people's names on their backs and say "we won" when talking about sports. 😅
lol that ladder! you can just step on the tyre or into the tray.
The toolbox with the ladder is the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen. So you buy a box that takes up room in your trucks bed to carry around a ladder to get into the box that barely has room for the ladder itself, brilliant!
Just buy the overpriced tailgate ladder so you aren't having to stretch or bend over the side of the truck bed....lol
I wish I could find something on those truck tail containers online. I don’t find them anywhere. If anybody has any information on them, I would really appreciate you forwarding it.
People have been making bed slides for decades, it is not new. That one looked pretty decent but still not new. At best an innovation
I appreciate How you more expansion 😮😮😮
The prices of everything is insane: except for those spoiler boxes; which look ridiculous.
A folding step for $500 and can't hold more than 300 pounds? You can DIY one that can hold three times that weight easy and weigh about the same for under $50 in materials (retail) and about 30 to 45 minutes or so. I know, I made one similar for a friend's Toyota a few months ago. Stores in the side and you attach it to the tailgate to use when needed.
You and I can DIY, many people can't.
Ok i need both the blue bouncer bumper for my rig and a duality feeder for both my heafers ,wife and my side 😉
why did this Ad blockers violate RUclips's Terms of Service thing only turn on about 40 Minutes to 55 Minutes ago??
I think everyone is getting those annoying messages now.
Bed slides have been around forever. They have multiple companies that offer it. And yes I have one on my work truck but it definitely isn’t an actual bed slide one.
Dump body conversions have been around forever
'Air topper' wins it for me
The salt in Canada would destroy these in no time.😂😂😂
I was amazed how much rust Canadian and US cars had; even ones under 7 years old. For most of Australia newer cars rusting is quite rare. My son has a 13-year-old Toyota with no rust anywhere, and our 27-year-old motorhome has a very slight amount inside one wheel arch.
Instead of all the fancy ladders and stuff.. I use a milkcrate.. Can get in the back or the toolbox easily...
also comes in handy to siton when changing a flat or to throw sometools or other stuff in to carry when you find that you need to transport some items from a site.
Bed Slide is absolute garbage. Have had several renditions on multiple different trucks and they all fail within a year. You lose a lot of storage capacity as well.
Yea wouldn't cross border with that back into states..don't think any of four agencies would believe it's just storage space
Damn! I was considering getting one for my work trucks. Nm.
They didn't invent it, either. "Decked" has been making a bed drawer for years.
That is what you get for overloading them.
I put a camper shell on my
P/U for weather protection and some security. I learned to hate it because stuff was always out of reach. Got a Bed slide and fixed the problem. Had it over five years now.
Viper lift doesn’t seem to exist anymore.
The only people that will be able to get those tail lite drawers will be Drug dealers $3600 .00 is way to much .
*too
Gun owners and hunters have been known to spend crazy amounts of money on their hobbies. They won't sell a lot but probably enough to stay busy.
@@wmason1961Why would I ever put my expensive guns into my truck body when I can keep them next to me in my cab.
@@jackbean7195 I dont know. Why would you?
@@wmason1961 < LOL 😂, another low l - Q on RUclips
The movable taillight would be illegal because by law taillights cannot be a part of movable bodywork
What nobody knows....
The truck lift arm is nice. But it covers your tail light.
If you need a step to get into the bed of your truck then I also assume you you wear bands on your wrist for your man bun.
Cartels here in Texas know every square inch of hidden hidden storage in any vehicle.
Wow... what will city girls think of next for thier convertible station wagons ??
That solar tonneau cover is just common sense
For a very tiny number of people, maybe. Running an auxiliary charge lead to the truck's electrical system would cost under 1% of what the panels do and give you way more power, and it could charge day or night.
@@DonziGT230 I'm talking about to a solar generator or battery bank. For camping and working out of the truck.
@@kurtgainz After a full day in the sun they'd provide as much charging as you could generate by running the engine for a few minutes, seems fairly pointless. The company publishes the prices for all their non-solar covers, but doesn't publish the cost of these so I'm guessing they're well over $500. Then add the price of an inverter, batteries, and wiring/installation. Or you could buy a generator for under $200 that delivers more power and isn't tethered to the truck.
Best truck invention?
How about making 8 foot beds again 🤦🏼♂️ maybe that would be a good idea. Trucks morphed in to suvs with a teeny tiny bed 🤦🏼♂️
You think they could make number 13 bigger by chance?
Outstanding inventions..🧐
You should do Patriot Campers and PCOR beds.
Gimme a bed that'll fit 4x8 plywood
seriously. If you can't fit 4x8 in it, it's really just an open bed SUV
Cool! Enjoy rich guys!
Truck tail🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Until it rains LOL
CBP just had a stroke.....😂
0:39. Or better still, manufacturers could build trucks without so much wasted space!
All these accessories, and they do everything but make the truck bed bigger. My dad refuses to buy a truck with out a 8 foot bed
A pickup cost about 75-1000,000 nowadays I’ll stick with my 15,000 square body Chevy 😊
The "I have more money than common sense." Accessory pack, that goes well with your "I have more money than common sense." Yuppie mobile.
At 1:47, does anyone know anymore information about this product? It's either from Hunted Engineering or Shannon Engineering. I'm curious as to what it costs.
Best Slide is best innovation others 🧡🧡💜💜
GM had a bedslider f*^% 20 yrs ago or so now. I remember it in the Aztek
Truck tail link goes to a 4 year old failed Kickstarter and a dead website.
MindWarehouse has blown my mind…again
It’s a lot of money for a shelf
a lot of those were neat ideas, but just ideas. never manufactured or marketed.
One of those Ford F-150s is actually a Chevrolet.
Truck ideal is very well interessantly very well interessant others
Take the unions out and you can cut prices.
Toyota, Hyundai and Honda do fine without unions somehow
Carpet for your pickup bed? I would give in 3 months and then the smell of rotten carpet would turn me off.
It looks pretty easy to put in and take out. It would be good for hauling things you did not want to get banged up, or even a sleeper base with a bed topper.
I would not leave it in very long, or on rainy days/nights. (ha) If you used it for something like that, you would probably choose it over some of the hotels today. :)
@10:50 Where are they? Do you have a link?
Not bad ⚡️
How come the only time we hear from the Australians is when they have something to "sell into the American market and get rich quick"?
Watch the dogs jumping off that tailgate step! If their back hock’s don’t clear the step. They gonna get injured! Ask me how I know. Running boards got my pooch.
Of all the overpriced claptrap shown that I would ever consider on my F150 would be a step since my knees are no longer youthful. Even those step at $500 or so dollars is too many $$ even with a useless "Lifetime Warranty" since the mfg. company will most likely disappear before my truck does.
Ford Maverick Truck..???
Yep
Pick up built on a car frame instead of truck frame.
Yea, they couldn't come up with a different name so they put the same label on it as they did on one of their biggest piece of junk cars that they made thinking that people would forget about it. LOL 😂
Very cool
A bed liner held in place with a few pieces of tape doesn’t sound like a good idea to me.
re-title - Inventions for your ford F-150
bro, the 2nd truck (orange one) says Bricked Up Brick Laying on it.
i wonder if they know what "bricked up" means
a 3mm bumper (1/8" steel) is not offroad ready. that's barely road-ready for pickup.
0:31 That's the drug cartels' innovation/invention when transporting their products across the border. 😂
my big dream, jesus
All of these is a must have
1700 for a dump truck. I'd call that a win lol. most of the other stuff seems unnecessary
I appreciate how you explain this topic clearly. Your passion for your RUclips channel is evident. Your content has given me some great ideas for potential new videos. I'll be sure to follow your work and share ideas!❤😁
Bro says the same thing everytime
@@Gamerandcoder Exactly 😂
Really this channel explain us every topic very clearly.. that's why I always love to see..
Ford needs a heated tailgate.
Why do you include things that are failures from 2019? Funding Unsuccessful
The project's funding goal was not reached on Fri, January 11 2019 5:30 PM PST - The Truck Tail
like slatering between metric and english system with accent not very catchy for me. makes me wonder if prices are true
