Some gorgeous yachts there. I particularly loved the olden days style of yacht, the only thing that gagged me was it being made in China... as I live in Oz, that fact makes me uncomfortable...
A close friend was staying there a couple of weeks ago, he spends summer every year over there, a great gourmond, he cruised the menu at the yacht club for a week, then off around the usual traps.
I must tell him to visit the show, maybe he would be tempted, then I'd be writing to you from onboard!

YaY, Monaco Yacht Show News!! From what I remember, you said the captain said just the boats is chartered, everything else is the extra's. Staff, Food and Fuels, witch $150,000 just in fuel, something like that. What I got out of it, is the extra's costs half as much as the yacht.

If you are talking about adblue then that’s urea formaldehyde and it’s sprayed into the exhaust to reduce emissions of modern diesel engines, it does not get added to the diesel

On 7 Sept 2023 Boat International wrote that the Force Blue ask price is Euros 29,500,000. It is unclear when the last engine refit took place though the physical extension was last year.
I enjoyed the video. On the largest yachts, I see two broad problems: 1. The largest ships cannot get into many ports as they are too long with excessive drafts, and 2. The larger ships require large crews which severely compromise the owner’s privacy. In your judgment, what is the sweet spot in terms of ship length, GT and crew size in order to give owners fun, value for money and access to the largest number of ports.

Carinthia 7 was sold last year. New owner put her into a 300 day refit. They added the pool in the back, replaced at least one stabilizer and enclosed aft portion of the bridge deck with glass. Now she will be offered on the charter market.

Force Blue looks like a lot of boxes on top of one another. Looks boxy. The second boat is much more graceful, colour Red is certainly different. But the 3rd yacht Nero recalls a different age of sailing, like a gentleman yacht. Kenzi reminds of a battleship.
The others look sleek and more like traditional shaped super yachts. Thanks for the video showing traditional yacht types and yachts that can influence the future of ship designs. Very interesting.
Footnote: while the catamaran looks like a floating toaster.

That Red yacht is absolutely beautiful 😍. She stands out amongst the other yachts. But my absolute favorite is Nero. If ever I got the chance to step onto a yacht for a few days, this would be the one. Gorgeous!!!!

15:33 At that size of yacht I'd want it to be built as sturdy as possible. The fact they cheaped out, and built to to below the 3000 gross to standard, I'd run for the hills for something more commercial in build. I know you've mentioned this before, but it would be great to hear the exact differences between an under 3000 gross ton yacht, and an over 3000 gross ton yacht. Cheers 👍😎✌🗽

You just can't help but notice how many MYs are always up for sale. Makes you wonder about the eye-watering expense of keeping these things going.

They do sell them, apparently, on their website. Several people replied on the other video. Gotta watch out though, if eSysman was drooling over the tables, as he said he was, you might want to get one which hasn't been on display. 😅

Urea is also the primary component of human urine which is mostly water but contains about 2% urea so it is in essence the 'main component' that makes it what it is. It is however just a chemical, and one that has been added to diesel engines for years in the form of "AdBlue" which uses de-ionised water...and urea. So yes, it is basically urine minus some of the biological/organic chemicals and compounds urine contains, they are extremely similar. Companies often try hard to dissociate it from urine because people see it as disgusting, and there is some truth to it- because this is manufactured it *is* very 'clean' and free of pathogens and bacteria for the most part. The concentration of urea also tends to be pretty high, above 30% from what I understand. But make no mistakes it's still the pee chemical, combined with water just the same, and it's extremely beneficial for emissions so there should be no issue with that.
Nero is my style, although my Nero would be 20' OAL😂 Another great yacht shopping tour E!

4:30 I completely agree. I definitely prefer the dark blue hulls. The blue and white just always seem to look good. This red/burgundy is definitely not my style especially with the white Turkish style interior.

Do any of these SuperYachts travel thru the Caribbean? Have U gone to any of the Islands? Been watching U since the start of the Pandemic. Anyway I am from the West Indies and really like your clips.

Am curious on how the boat's length is decided. You've mentioned the different classes based on gross tonnage, but within a range, does it make a huge different if you add a metre to a boat? Does the customer list requirements, how many toys in the hangar, how many pools, how many helicopters and how many rooms and trhen the ship buider comes up with weight and gross tonnate? or is there a vainity issue that comes first with length and gross tonnage decided first, and ten they fit whatever they can in that space?
