I once took a cruise which stopped in Monaco. It was the day after an F1 race. Can't recall the year but David Coulthard won that year 2000 or 2002? We took a tour bus around the area and did some sightseeing. I'll never forget. As a owner of a small cruiser, and having cruised mostly in the Eastern US, I really enjoy these videos in preparation for the race. Thanks for the coverage!
I used to work in Monaco, and lived outside in Beausoleil. I was a proud owner of a Vauxhall Astra, which I paid £800 pounds for back about 15 years ago and drove it down from the UK. It was so unreliable, the 10% rule did not apply to that beast. It was more like 30%. Anyway, thanks for the video, brings back memories :-)
Thank you again sir for all you do for us Yachting Enthusiasts !!! Your channel always brings style, grace, and elegance to the Yachting community. Thank you again sir & your support staff if applicable. TMP from N.J. ❤️ 😍 ♥️ 💖.
Awesome video! I love watching the Monaco Grand Prix on the tv every year. I love Formula 1 racing! Thank you for taking us on a tour of the marina there. Quite informative!
I worked in Monaco in the 90's. Had various birthdays at the Rascasse. The then owner, Rupert, once threw the keys to the restaurant on our table and told us to lock-up when we had finished for the night/dawn.
I’ve been addicted to F1 since Mario won the championship in ‘78! I also love Monaco and your channel, eSysman! Thanks a million for the great content you reliably put out!!!
Some of us have to live vicariously through great footage like this. In my case, the prevailing opportunity of travel to Monaco is not possible with the health restrictions. Please know your hard work in all this presentation is well appreciated. And, just so you know, Bugatti is the only car I drive, whilst sleeping. 🤣 🏎 🚢
Always a pleasure when you walk a marina showing the various yachts that are there, and give some details on them. Double points for combining it with a view of preparations for the Monaco GP. As for the sign at Fairmont (the slowest corner in F1 and probably the one with the most names over the years), you are probably right, nowhere but Monaco.
When I was a child, the corner was known as the Station hotel hairpin, then when the hotel was owned by Loews it was the Loews hairpin and so on. My friend who works in Monaco tells me that the hotel pays a lot of money for the naming rights to the corner.
They once (2009) put a Martiniracing ad in this corner. The F1 drivers asked to take it away because they could not manage not to look at the girl every lap... Girls name is Jessiqa Pace.
Thanks for the news and the updates my favorite would be the C&N old lady. Love your yachtnews have some good memories of Monaco when cruising in the Med. Greetings from South Africa
My friend this is a very beautiful video and no less in Monaco...Monaco is all so my favorite place as well....l lived there for a few years with my 4 wife....lt is a very beautiful place to live....Thanks my friend 👍 Shoe🇺🇸
Your presentation makes me very happy, even though I could never own such yachts. I once saw Paul Allen’s (??) ( microsoft?) super yacht and loved it. I was in Monaco just before the Grande Prix many many years ago. Possibly my second favourite part of the world after Australia. Thanks for taking me back 50 years in time with this video. Bob from South Australia.
Great footage again. We ❤ Monaco and will be back at the end of June. It's always interesting to have a look behind the scene. Looking forward to seeing more stuff like that.
YaY, Yacht Monaco Pre Grand Prix News!! I remember when I was there with friends yacht, we had to park in a line of yachts far from docs. No sure what it's called, but they called a limit that could come in to the marina. It was a night to remember what we could the next day. It certainly was the most expensive and biggest party I have been too. We went boat hopping, and every boat we landed on filled our glasses with fresh drinks. This one billionaire I believe, took my glass out of my hands and said stop drinking that swill, and dumped my drink, and promptly refilled with a drink mixed from the gods themselves. We went to so many other Yachts, we forgot where we were, but we managed the next day to find our ride out of there, LOL. One of my favorite events was the Monaco Grand Prix in the Marina.
Awesome place. Lots of eye 👀 candy in the waters there. Looks like a great time and the money from the yaught's rolling in to town . Enjoy your time there and have fun Excellent job again... Love your show.. blessing to you and your family.
Thanks for the insurance info. My superyacht insurance is up for renewal and I was just think about getting a second quote to see if I could save a few bucks. Now if I could just find a quality discount caviar.
Cool video! We were on a cruise (first ever) 2023 and stopped at the port of Toulon France., a week before the F1. A person who I met on the cruise had talked to local who said that they believed there was approx. 30 crew on the Lionheart and that there is a “smaller super yacht”following, to tender the occupants onto various shores. Interesting fact: there is a boat shuttle that will take folks from their boat to the Casino. Amazing place.
Well done for taking the trip to the focus point of superyachts in May. I guess it's easy for wealthy people to own/ run these yachts when they are all paid for with money that has never seen a tax man. The richer you are, the easier that becomes. Philip Green's wife was a full time resident in Monaco as he made his millions. She was the owner of Arcadia, the holding company for BHS, Topshop etc. The hundreds of millions of dividends she was paid each year were all received tax free. Yes, he paid the 380+ million GBP into the BHS pension fund. But it took a grilling by parliament, and the threat of removing his knighthood to get him to do it. At the time he sold BHS ( for 1 GBP to a guy who'd never run a fashion business, and had been declared bankrupt multiple times ), the pension fund deficit was over 500 million GBP, so there was still a big shortfall even after he coughed up. Sociopaths and skivs are all around us ....
There is no doubt that Green is a very unpleasant man, and that for him the acquisition of wealth comes ahead of any and all moral considerations. Unfortunately his tricks, such as lending BHS his private money whilst robbing its pension fund, were all within the law. The fact that the ruling government chose to ignore a parliamentary motion which voted in favour of removing of his knighthood, tells us many things.
Thank you for another great video! What a brilliant idea to film now so we can see the setup for the Grand Prix as well as the yachts with the Monaco backdrop
I've been a subscriber since the Very beginning. You do a lot of worthwhile reporting. However, These are the types of pieces that are the Most fun! I was in Monaco in 1976 for the F1 GP a few days earlier in fact. Quite the show! Niki won the race just a few weeks before his terrible crash and burn. Clay R was his co-driver who I ran into later just after he won the Long Beach GP playing tennis in Lugano, IT at a tennis club there. Anyway, YES Monaco is a hard to wrap your head around spot on the planet! I want to have a place in the Monaca-Ville area.
Bit of trivia: INEOS is the largest petrochemical group in the world and also hold the title of one of its biggest polluter. INEOS is the sponsor of Mercedes F1Team, hence the presence of the Yacht in Monaco. INEOS is also the sponsor of Sir Ben Ainslie effort in the America's cup. Fun fact: I once worked on a yacht bought by the owner specifically to be bigger than the Kennedy's sailing yacht while at mooring in Hyannis Port , he was bragging about his being bigger than Ted's😄
I would suggest that the reason that they are not using the Passarelle, is because they are sitting along side the dock with a big set of steps leading up to the Port rear quarter deck!
Love the old , classic boats. Mostly wooden , there was a saying in the old days, "build my yacht to mansion standards, then it changed to build by mansion to yacht standards.
What a delightful video, ty! I do beg to differ on whether or not you need a Gulfstream with how many videos are authored all over the place LOL. I think your channel warrants you getting one ! 😂🤪
Ineos also sponsors the Pro Cycling Team, The Ineos Grenadiers with an annual budget of $50,000,000 dollars per year. Their rider Geraint Thomas is currently leading the Giro d'Italia (Tour of Italy) as it enters its 3rd and final week. He is expected to battle in the high mountains this week against Primoze Roglic (Jumbo-Visma team) and Jaoa Almeida (UAE team) for the overall win.
Wouldn’t mind seeing a vid on Dennis Washington’s boats , I’ve done a bunch of woodwork on them and he has 4 beautiful boats mostly docked in Vancouver or Mexico but two of them are older and have interesting storeys I’m sure 👍
Jim Ratcliffe owns multiple private jets because it is profitable to do so. Most people who own private jets lease them out when they don't need them, just like many yacht owners do. If you do well, the lease income is greater than the total running costs and the aircraft becomes a net profit centre. The more jets you have the more profit you can make, and the more likely it is that one will be available when you want to use it ! This is a prime example of money going to money.

Fabulous.
I worked in Monaco in the 90's. Had various birthdays at the Rascasse. The then owner, Rupert, once threw the keys to the restaurant on our table and told us to lock-up when we had finished for the night/dawn.
Thoroughly enjoyed the video, thanks eSysman, again!!!
Always great to watch.
Thank you from Canada
Old School eSysman where yachts without sanctions were the focus. Nicely done.
PS: you look very happy now in your element being present amongst the most beautiful Yacht's in the world, Bravo !
Quote from Aristotle Onassis "Monaco is a sunny place for shady people."

Thanks for this one especially!

Very well done. Very enjoyable. Thanks.
I always like every video. 1 I am a positive person, 2 it lets me know I have seen the video.

Great video!! Thanks Rob :)
The little boat was the one I would pick, such a nice shape. great video 2x👍
....gentleman's yacht, from an age when size wasn't the sign of success.
He’s renowned for ……. forgetting to pay his taxes!! 😂😂😂
That’s classic! Well done! 👍🏽
So well stated. A pause is the right place as eSysman looks for the right phrase.
I love the excitement you show about Monaco, the yachts, and cars. A walking tour with you would be priceless eSysman. Excellent reporting.
Super yacht Force Blue looks very top heavy compared to the other Yachts you featured. Great video.
Thanks
Thank you sir! Please check out our Patreon channel www.patreon.com/esysman this way we can give back!
No other place in the world like Monaco. Thanks for sharing 👍
Singapore is nicer 😅
It's easy to explain. The biggest ones simply don't fit into the harbour. That's why they usually are out/mooring or at Cap D'Antibes (like Dilbar).
Takes me back 😊 I was in Super-yachting for 8 years
Have a ball!!!
The classic Nicolson! OH MY!
I Sir also " don't have a need for multiple Gulfstreams " hence the reason I also don't own any! 😂😂 Great video @esysman. Thank you
I enjoyed this video greatly, it made a nice change.

Agree that these ones are most fun!
Regarding multiple Gulf Stream jets, they actually pay for themselves by hiring them out, so you want more than 1 so its less likely to be chartered

eSysman you're as excited as a kid on Christmas morning. LOL. Cheers.
All shady characters and mafia bosses😂 expected haha
Is Lawrence Stroll’s yacht “Faith” and Charles Leclerc’s boat there in the harbour? 🏁🏎️
F1 + superyachts makes a great video!!
