Between Sal Buscema, Sienkiewicz, Jon J. Muth, Bret Blevins and Liefeld this series had an eclectic mix of art styles.

It’s hilarious to see how Cable started off with the most horrible hairline in marvel but over time it got better and eventually he wasn’t balding anymore 😂
Another case of anyone else drawing a Liefield character better than he could.

People will tell you this isn’t Domino’s first, that this is Copycat, but don’t listen to em. This is the book you want.

Is it weird that everyone writes better deadpool stories than Rob, keep it fresh

@@billygreen9915 what's more weird is he's the one who made deadpool an A-lister. I do miss old Deadpool though

    Great video as always.
I love how there is *just no way* to square the circle about why Feral is here apart from her just being a replacement for Wolfsbane.
We have well and truly hit the Liefeld era in full and it shows immediately.
(And I don't just mean the art.)
Granted, this book was already a ship of theseus. After issue 54 (or so) members kept falling off the team, with a big cleave from Genosha taking out two Xavier era characters, but these last 3 issues (the first with Liefeld in near total control) just abandon any sense of what the book once was. It makes it really difficult at times to inspect things from an in universe character perspective.
I truly despise Cable's dissmissive rundown of the former members, declaring them / their abilities as "useless in battle" or "not worth the effort." With that, Cable is not a teacher, or at least, ceases to be.
It's wild to me that the second oldest member on the team after these last 3 issues never met Xavier or even Magneto.
It would have been hysterical if the book wasn't retitled. I mean, I guess it wouldn't have been _wrong._ Pictured here are a bunch of *"New Mutants"* (which _addmittedly_ was a title destined to age like milk.)

Cable's first solo book doubled down on that comment, with Skids being unable to protect her MLF teammates from Cable who shoots Sumo (a character who frankly shouldn't have been created).
