This felt more like a Amazon ad than a tech video. Not seeing the solution to the problem verified means we watched a brake bleeding video ad with speculation at the end. Slightly disappointing
i feel that he mentioned the amazon refferal shit at the beginning and i was like "oh yeah this dudes pretty cool if i see some shit i want in his amazon referall ill buy it through there because yknow" and now i feel like a sucker if i go and do that i still might but im feelin more played than i wanna be
Does anyone know why the "Check Charge System" pops up on my 2016 Honda Civic coupe? light symbol of the steering wheel pops up the "brake system" light comes on... Only 86k miles with 4-cylinder iVtech motor... Any advice or ideas?
@@VTECAcademy it said alternator, apparently from another Honda tech the car had an aftermarket alternator, which I thought an OEM got put on, saying its not drawing enough OHMs.. ordered OEM alternator, suppose to get it in tomorrow, so we shall see
Never recommend this method for any modern brake system with an ABS or brake actuated traction control system. The systems are designed to move air to the caliper to be bled out. Reverse bleeding can force air into the ABS module that you might never get out reverse bleeding. Use a positive pressure bleeder like a Motive to make it a one man job.
A lot of modern abs systems will pump fluid for you in service mode. You just crack bleeder and keep the fluid topped up, economy cars I can do in under 20 minutes
Can’t be used on abs car. The best method is a long line and a drain can. Connect the line to the bleeder and hang/drape the line higher than the brake bleeder. Be sure to have at least 1 foot of line vertical. Crack the bleeder and slowly pump the pedal. The brake fluid will back into the caliper when releasing the pedal because it’s in the line. For final bleeding crack the bleeder such a small amount that the pedal has a lot of resistance to push yet still will slowly sink to the floor. This method works 100 percent unless you have a module that requires module activation to bleed brakes.
Dirtiest fluid is in the calipers and slave cylinders, you just pushed it all up into the master cylinder, I don’t think you realize what you’re doing here.
This is just what I needed. I have been having issues with my gd3 fit's brakes forever. I really want to swap out the drums for discs but cant afford it. pretty sure my master cylinder is boned too. i'll get this tool first and try that. thanks for the vids always so cool and helpful!!!

I'm so thankful that Brian is a "little" older and wrinkled than me, now I'll never be too old to play with my Hondas! 🐒

Get your code read to see what the error codes are. Usually the code will tell you exactly what part is causing the issue.

What happened with the parking brakes?
They are on a cable
Typical Honda owner
The brackets that bolt to the trailing arms to hold the cables are missing

I'm just wondering why you don't flush new brake fluid through the other way? Like from the BMC to the calliper?

brake bleeding is IMPORTANT
Can this work on bleeding clutch
Yes, it’s my preferred way.
The BG brake flush machine kicks ass.

Dose vtec academy make mounts to lower and push back a b series in a 89 crx civic like how they ran the jtcc Hondas
No

Stretch it over what?🤔
Will this work for civics with ABS? Specifically an 05 ep3. Thanks for the content!
Not recommended for abs cars unfortunately
I love my reverse bleeder..... I work on my car by myself so I had to buy alot of tools which allow me to work on my own.
love it!!
do those syringes seals deteriorate quickly ? or get cleaned after use?
Lasted a year so far.
