- An inmate at the Cook County Jail was beaten to death on Tuesday by a fellow inmate, police said. Security personnel responded to a commotion in Cermak Hospital, a division of Cook County Health within the jail, and discovered one inmate assaulting another.

That’s who I first thought it was that got killed!!!!! Instead that victim probably was killed over some words…..I’m sure that child killer is fresh on the most wanted within the county jail now though…..sad for the victim and his family. Cook county jail truly is a hell hole. It’s gotten better over the years and had turned into the nation’s largest on-site psychiatric facility where everyone is doped up on a cocktail of medications
So sad.. he was in medical unit. Why were they not stopped? Where were the guards?!! My condolences to his family.🌹🌹🌹
Guards don't give a damn in there
it might be a great loss for his family but it is a win for society. its less inmates that will be released and relapse. not only will the dead one never be able to commit another crime again, but the one who killed him will get extra charges, so they too will not see freedom for a long time or ever.
What was the beaten inmates charges or prior charges on his rap sheet or jacket? If it's a person harming children or women then it's the standard inmates teaching another inmate a valuable physical lesson about harming women and children and when inmates find out you participated in those types of crimes

I hope the family sues. While detained by the Criminal Justice system the person still has the right to be free from "cruel and unusual punishment." They detained him and denied him his Eighth Amendment Right. He most likely couldn't make bail and was awaiting court date. He could very well of been innocent of charges. 🤦🏾
