I thought it would be fun to include this cover here on our Mikey And His Uke series as I'm really proud of how it turned out. We gave this '...And Out Come the Wolves' classic a little bit of our own spin. I hope you enjoy it!

I think a lot of people forget just how incredible of a songwriter Tim Armstrong is. A cover like this shows just how truly great his lyrics and melody are. A true poet. Well done. This rips!!!

Fat Mike once said that a mark of a good song is that it's good no matter how you cover it, as long as the chords and melody are there. This is a good song.

@@colina1330 that’s a great quote. I met Mike once and he was a real asshole but he is a brilliant songwriter. I think his songs stand up with some of the greatest songs of all time. I respect his opinion on the craft of songwriting very much.

I got And Out Come the Wolves when I was 12, in March 1996. I'm 40 now and still recording punk rock with my wife. This warms my heart in ways I know you can imagine.
Turning 42 myself, jeez. Having our first baby at the end of September. Super excited to show him Rancid and punk/skatepunk

I am not going to get all emo 🖤 but Jesus Christ time is a real mother fucker. I’ve been on a hi fidelity type kick “ what does it all mean and why, why, why “. Thinking about the 90’s makes me tear up ALMOST. I just wish there was some sort of magic button that one could push to revisit the times where you don’t know it but has some of the biggest impact on your life. I guess I should just cherish the memories and keep them closest to my 🖤 and make sure I don’t forget them. The 90’s ruled though from our clothes to our music we officially had the greatest decade ever.
The whole thing is fantastic, but for me I think the piano / keys is what really makes it!
I was already really excited with how the song was sounding before Greg sent over his keys. When he sent over his part, I was floored. It brought the song to a whole different level, and was exactly what it needed. You can tell he had fun with it, and the final result is amazing. Greg rules !!!

This song makes me feel feelings. Tim's story telling skills get buried under the music but I wouldn't trade these songs for anything. Beautiful cover.

I've been listening to my original cd of "...And Out Come the Wolves" since '95 and know this song note for note. This arrangement gives me chills. Everything about it is gorgeous. The piano melody hits me in my soul.

I’ve always loved the compassion in the lyrics. Before I first heard this song, I probably had no idea that it was punk rock to be compassionate. In retrospect, it was one of the few select songs that made me know that I had a home in punk rock.
I love this! There’s nothing more punk rock than compassion! Thats why so many people find their home here. Its an open door…especially for those who need it most.
