Having Brendan Brown do the vocals was a fantastic choice. The rest of the cover is of course perfect but Brown is able to nail the idea of Smith's vocal and lyrics while bringing some of his own personality to the song.
When I read this - I got confused that you thought this cover was by The Smiths……when your actually talking about lead singer Robert Smith.

This is probably in the top 5 of my all time favorite songs…… Robert Smith is a songwriting genius, the way he blended New Wave and Goth and Somehow churned out one of the best Pop songs of all time is nothing less then spectacular. All That said well done!
