80s music is so layered and so good. Oh how times change. What happened? Such a great riff and sweet song.
A lot of musicians "back in the day" were students of music. Some studied classical techniques. Maybe they started out in High School Band, but a lot of bands had real musical training, like Queen, and ELO. Then came "rap" and the "internet". Remember Bieber? Neither do I.

Each generation has their own music, different than the one before, that helps us stamp our presence on the timeline.
I respect those before and after mine, all while knowing what speaks to me.

There was ultimately money to be made, which drove the promoters (I forget who it was for Elvis), record labels, concerts, and radio industries.
We just can see it clearer today.

how old I was and where I was when I first heard this song and started loving the cure. Now it’s hours away from 2024 and I still love this song. This is truly one of the best songs ever. This is a magical and when you listen to this song, most of the songs from the care, you just feel like you’re taken away someplace better
