@@GUITARISTxxxx maybe, but at least we lived in an era where people wrote their own music and actually performed and played the instruments themselves, unlike more music these days that are completely written, produced, and orchestrated digitally and then they pick a face that can't sing and digitally alter their voice so it sounds like they can perform. Everything today is just commercially made and promoted. Music used to become a hit because someone heard the song and through word of mouth it became popular. People calling into radio stations to request the song.
I remember that last day before school started we would dedicate the whole day to skating, from morning afternoon to night...I was far from good but I cherished just the freedom, skating different spots, and just being kids...good times

"So here I am, growing older all the time, Looking older all the time, Feeling younger in my mind..." Now that I'm 34 years old, I can relate to this lyrics. The memories from when I was in junior high played the THPS game in my PSX while this song playing on the background. A very precious memory.
There was a little place downtown called Virtual Megaplex for a bit. Little rooms with a couch, surround sound and every console and game imaginable. My buddy Kevin and I would go down there almost daily. We’d win money occasionally in THPS tourneys. There was a sign over the toilet that said, “if you sprinkle when you tinkle, please be neat and wipe the seat.” The things that stick with you sometimes...
Only the singer has a studio from what I can see... the others are just in their jam room, the bass player has a whole wall full of antique cameras in the shot lol.

This is gonna get buried and sound so cliche, but i just wanted to let you know that this video saved my life. I was spiraling in spring2020. Drinking myself to sleep every night. Chainsmoking, energy drinks and pure spite were the only things keeping me awake the rest of the time. Was probably weeks away from being homeless, jobless, friendless, etc and then this song came on and I ugly cried with nostalgic joy. I don't know how many times in a row I played it but it was many. I actually got real sleep that night. No nightmares and no booze. Just sleep. It wasn't suddenly fixed, but I wasn't spiraling and I started climbing back out. 4.5ish years later and I have my life mostly back together. Better job. Friends. Etc. It's still a struggle some days, but I'll just play this and do my best to not let the day win. Thank you for saving me.
Goldfinger never gets old. I loved them back in the 90s when I was a lonely high schooler listening to "If only" to now almost 40 in quarantine listening to "Hang Ups" and still thinking it is as great as I used to. "Too Late" helped me through a very tough time last year when my dad committed suicide. We had not spoken for 7 years before he died and if he only knew his son's pain. How bad that I wanted him to say 'you're doing just fine. You turned out to be one good guy' but it's too late. That song definitely felt like it was written for us and helped me get through a very difficult time. You guys are the best. I hope this virus is eradicated and you guys can tour and you come to DC.
I still remember the first time I listened to Goldfinger's music. I was on a trip with my family and while passing through Montana we stopped at Wal-Mart. Back then, Wal-Mart had listening stations where you'd scan the CD barcode and you could listen to snippets of three songs. The album was Stomping Ground and after listening to Counting the Days and 99 Red Balloons I was hooked.
I too came here just to see "Here in your bedroom" again and I'm stoked that there is a new song. The thing about this band is the sheer joy they express for the music and their fans. You can't watch this and not be happy. I throw a fiver in the brandy snifter for the next song and shout MILES AWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!

These guys are so freaking underrated. Like a lot of millennials, my first time listening to these guys was from Tony Hawk’s pro skater. Ask any millennial who either listens to rock or not, if they played this video game, this was their favorite song. This band has aged so well. Their most recent album is incredible
@Master Shake as someone who would happily be a millennial if I could have chosen my own birthdate, started doing tour production (guitar/bass tech, then production management, then tour management/tour accounting) during the third wave ska era (which resulted in me seeing *way* too many ska/ska punk bands with dumb puns using "ska" in their names) and still work in the same field, i just have to respond with "whaaaa?" - most ska isn't my thing (the artists I'm about to list are exceptions), but if you think... for example, Desmond Dekker sounds like the Specials, and both sound like Operation Ivy... you may need a hearing exam. 😃

Ska is sighted also as being the music that was at the forefront of bridging ethnic segregations which ran rife at the time, enthusing Punk, Reggae, and Rock N Roll into a form of music which to this day is enjoyed by millions. I wish it had. Sadly This song is almost 3 decades old. I Still listen to the same aka/punk I listened to 20+ years ago.
You guys sound like such geezers.
The irony with this song is i would play tony hawks pro skater and love that song and listening to it now at 31 those lyrics really hit home

There was a little place downtown called Virtual Megaplex for a bit. Little rooms with a couch, surround sound and every console and game imaginable. Well when you tour for 25 years you pick up a few things lol
Some of the Bare Naked Ladies didn’t have their instruments at first
Only 2 of them seem to have a legit recording studio set up. The others just have jam rooms.
Only the singer has a studio from what I can see... the others are just in their jam room, the bass player has a whole wall full of antique cameras in the shot lol.
When they’ve been together since the 90s, you think that they might have bought a thing or 2 lol

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2 Remastered coming September 4th for Xbox, Playstation, and PC! Goldfinger will be on the soundtrack too! WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE!
I can show my son the stuff I did as a teen LOL
Te entiendo porque yo también estoy pasando una situación complicada y su música me ayuda y me da un subidon de energía. Son increíbles 💖

So here I am
Doing everything I can
Holding on to what I am
Pretending I'm a superman
I'm trying to keep
The ground on my feet
It seems the world's falling down around me
The nights are all long
Yeah, I'm singing this song
To try and make the answers more than maybe
And I'm so confused about what to do
Sometimes I wanna throw it all away
So here I am
Growing older all the time
Looking older all the time
Feeling younger in my mind
So here I am
Doing everything I can
Holding on to what I am
Pretending I'm a superman
I'm trying to sleep
I lost count of sheep
My mind is racing faster every minute
But could I do more?
Yeah, I'm really not sure
I know I'm running circles but I can't quit
And I'm so confused about what to do
Sometimes I wanna throw it all away
Controlling everything in sight
Feeling weak, I don't feel right
You're telling me I have to change
Telling me to act my age
What if all that I can do
Is just sit and watch time go
Then I'll have to say goodbye
Life's too short to watch it fly
To watch it fly
So here I am
Growing older all the time
Looking older all the time
Feeling younger in my mind

@@jorgerojas4388 a form of music which came out of Jamaica in the late 1950s
It became incredibly popular in the 1970s in the United Kingdom with the term “two tone” and giving birth to such groups as “The Specials” who were a band of multiple ethnicities all living in the Coventry Area of the Midlands. Ska is sighted also as being the music that was at the forefront of bridging ethnic segregations which ran rife at the time, enthusing Punk, Reggae, and Rock N Roll into a form of music which to this day is enjoyed by millions.
In the 90s Ska went through a form of resurrection with Pop Punk groups picking up aspects of the genre.
Now in 2023 Ska sits in a deserved place of reverence as one of musics most enduring genre’s and is once again making a comeback, with social media influencers and a host of ska/punk groups, particularly from the US and Japan making waves on the scene
