Why C / C++ Mastery?
Being a skilled software engineer gives you the ability to earn a large income (often well over $100,000), while having the freedom to work in whatever industry and in whatever location you desire (even remote)!
Additionally, software development leaves you fulfilled by creating something useful from scratch.
Unfortunately, the competition in software is fierce and the learning curve is very high.
The purpose of this mastery course is to accelerate your path to becoming a C / C++ engineer.
You to leave this course having a deeper, more practical understanding than any other course out there.

I read the title as you "Got Laid" 🤣. Sorry about your situation
Laid off twice. Same industry. It's been a dying industry since smart phones and internet access explosion.
Sorry to hear that. I got layed off too. I was doing great in my last role, but the company had a market share drop, so my manager was forced to lay off some employees :(. I have been looking for a job in the last month and been studying to land a job. I didn`t had any luck yet, but hopefully I will find something soon. Good luck to you! Hope you will find something also!
Hi Caleb, look at it this way, you're got fired now, Someone else got shot during the rush of the war(like in Ukraine, Iran)..you still have time to take a pause and rethink the way you'll be dealing with remaining parts of your business, and you make up a new picture out of that...

By the way, congratulations with your new adventures !⛵⛵⛵🛶🛶
Don’t sell courses then cry you got fired don’t play the victim homie
As a Computer Science New Grad and still looking for my first job, seeing people like you got laid off, I was like "bruh, wtf? seriously? What am I supposed to do now?"
I’m literally a junior in college and I’m wondering if I should continue my CIS major. All these lay-off have me panicking
I think He's too qualified for whoever they are
With AI getting out of hand I guess it will only get worse, it's sad that this big corporations only care about replacing humans, instead of creating more job opportunities and making lives easier for people.
@@GeenSama But it's not at their their best interest to distribute wealth. People get laid off because they "cost the company" a lot of money as opposed to an automated robot that does virtually the same thing. It's not a good thing that humans care about their dividends. But I don't blame them. Society at large is to blame. And it's irreversible unless another Hitler or some crazy communist dictator takes over. We will be fucked and wish to go back to our old bu also miserable state, at least we will be free to do whatever we want(within reason), and this will make us to not be miserable if and only if we are not dependent on some overlord but make our own stuff(food and water).

Sorry to hear about your layoff. I was in the same boat a few months ago and landed with a web3 company that’s pretty awesome. I sent you a LinkedIn message with a link to a job description for a protocol engineer position. Hope you’ll consider it. Best of luck with your next endeavor! Looking forward to seeing more content as well!
They fired you two weeks into parental leave? That should be illegal. God damn what a shitty thing to do.
if Caleb is affected no one here is safe. Remember that, you go Caleb, re-invent yourself and go get the bag!
No one is safe indeed...
@@wonganikaunda7704 Bro! That is Scary...😭😭😭😭
oh my goodness
No one is ever safe in their jobs; they just feel safe at different times. Having said that, Caleb was a developer relations engineer at a very small blockchain company. Regardless of his RUclips presence, that is never a safe job.
Scary
Hey Caleb, some advice here... in whatever ventures that you'd be pursuing please make sure that you treat it as a 9-5 job. Set deadlines and a timeline of your projects/ventures.
Good luck & all the best!!!
I am so sorry Caleb. It never is easy with a layoff. No one can understand who hasn't gone thru it. It will make it you stronger. Can't wait to see your new content!
Best of luck man. We will be rooting for you. You will do great. Keep the positive spirits up.
I'm the father of two kids. Trust me when I say being laid off is a very good thing. Work for yourself. Time is MUCH more important than money. You'll only realise that in many years from now. But really, time is priceless. Enjoy being a dad and congrats! It's a great journey. Not every step, but ultimately it's epic.
Stay strong and confident Caleb, because your resumé is impressive. I passed through that several times... and here I am!
Congrats on the baby, and keep it up. Just saw your channel but looks really cool. Making content is hard but so valuable helping others
@Caleb Curry, sorry to hear bro. Can't believe nice guys like you can't escape the layoffs. You were (and still are) one of my favorite RUclips instructors for Python programming. Wish you and your family all the very best. Hang in there. You'll land much better opportunities sooner than you think. After all, the force is with you. Take care bro.
You seem like a very good guy. I hope things will work out for you. Stay strong, be smart
I love this dude curry man so inspirational. Fr tho congratz on the kid hope you the best my man! - An undergrad CS student who binges your videos
Hey Caleb, really sorry to hear this happened to you. I've been following you on youtube since you had the chalk board in the basement on your thick books😁.
Glad to hear you have a new arrival into your family as well.
I can't join any courses at present, but I am following you c++ and java videos - love the way you teach.
On another note, maybe you could open up the Patreon idea or similar again. Thanks for all you do, you are definitely unique in what you do.
Lay offs are hard to swallow. I wish you best of luck, Caleb. You create some of the great content for Computer Science enthusiasts. I hope you find the success here as well and in your future endeavour.
We all support you Caleb and know you will land on your feet even better.
0:44 oh man, I feel you on that one. Every time I get an unexpected meeting added to my calendar at work I'm like "aww s***, is this the time?". Had one of those at my last job that laid me off, and yeah just like Caleb I just wanted to get off the call with the HR dude as fast as possible
Thanks for sharing, we're all rooting for ya 👏🏾💯
DUDE. I have been watching your entire cpp series really soaking EVERYTHING in and absolutely loving it. You do such a phenomenal job breaking topics down into succinct sub 10 min videos for me to interact with topics for my own projects.
I think it's really funny that I just finished the series and then found this video, even if it's already a month old. ~TADA~
All jokes aside, I know you won't have any trouble finding something in the future. It will be so clear when the time is right! Every time I've had a disaster in my previous career it has always lead me to something that makes me even more fulfilled than before. Enjoy the safety net you've accrued with your skills thus far and don't doubt yourself!
Thank you for your content,
aspiring student / SWE
Hello, Caleb! Sorry to know about your layoff. However, I admire your strength and resilience. Wishing you all the best! God bless!
Congratulations on the new addition to your family! You'll land on your feet. Don't let it stress you.
Sorry to hear of the layoff. Sounds like you're taking a positive approach and I wish you the best and trust that you'll be successful at whatever you end up doing.
Wishing you a quick great job landing! you are so dedicated and generous!
Also, congratulations to y'all :D
Thank you for being a major internet educator, coach and creator
I know the feeling from about 4 years ago, and even our company had some big layoffs within our department, and all around. love your content and videos helped me a lot. I believe you will get some better opportunities.
I am sorry about the layoff, Godspeed in what is in store for you.
Look forward to seeing your courses
You have great advice your content is amazing. Don't give up and follow through. Make the best videos and make this your full-time opportunity!
You helped so many of us improve or pass some exams. Keep going man
Hi, Caleb! Sorry to know about your layoff. You were one of the first RUclipsrs that taught me how to code, you are really talented, soon something better will show off.
We are all human Caleb. Like you I'm also going through a tough time. It's really good to know that you're keeping your head up through it all.
Sorry to hear that Caleb. Hope a new thing will come along which will be even better
Hi I'm a new subscriber. Best of luck! These are challenging times for a lot.
Just started your React series. It's sad to see you are getting laid off but heads up. I think you are doing a great job :)
sorry to hear it. Hopefully things work out for the best
You are going to bounce back super strong. You are talented and gifted. Continue to build your brand. Stay positive and optimistic. Wishing you all the best.
I feel you. I was laid off last year. A lot of extremely talented devs are getting this.
Sorry about your lay off. Hope things work out for you.
Man sorry for that😮 Congrations for the baby😊 and best of luck buddy❤
You certainly have an interesting perspective on employment and if you end up accepting an offer you still appreciate after 2 years, I'd love to personally chat with you and compare outlooks if at all possible. I've taken a much more reserved approach to career, which has severely limited my career growth while ultimately putting me in exactly the position I imagined myself in, and couldn't be happier (aside from pay, of course.) I'm less interested in career advice as much as I am in comparing experiences and perspectives.
Wishing you the best!
Shocking ,but I know you will do well. All the best wishes!
subscribing to your channel to support you. good luck fellow human
Ooof, I was just going through your react Playlist!
Best of luck man! Hopefully you'll find something soon ✊
I don’t know you but I’m pretty sure you will get something much better, i enjoy the content that you share and anyone can notice your talent you have. All the best for you an your family
so sorry to hear Caleb. Stay strong and keep going. All the best.
In my search for upscaling myself in tech. I came across Caleb Curry and his 8h 7min video on database design. I was blown away as to how simple he could keep things to my understanding. I watched through it all and was fired up I contacted the energy. He's like the Jim Rohn of the tech world. Keep that fire bro....u're lighting up more lives than you'd ever know.
Caleb- Good luck. It will get better . Take good care of yourself
I hope everything works out well for you and your family soon. Hang in there
Sorry to hear that Caleb! It happened to me the exact same way. I was on a week-long PTO for vacation last May, and the director of R&D texted me with his personal number to have an immediate meeting. It was the last day of my vacation. He said they had decided to lay off some employees including me. It was near the end of this past May. I hope you find a good job, as I'm sure you are very capable. Wish me luck, I am looking for jobs too.
I'm really sorry that you got laid off, and I wish you the best with your future plans and with raising your family!
yup, my last job was uncomfortable but just enough to keep going but that time came to me.
I empathise with you, Caleb and hope that you reach your goals.
You have not posted any video since you created this video about you being laid off. Your videos are amazing and very useful, please continue this great job and posted new videos. I hope to see you again on RUclips with new videos. Thank you for your hard work.
sorry to hear that Caleb. I know you will get back up
best of luck to you amigo.
Sorry to hear about it. I am sure you will find a better job as soon as possible.
Stay strong Caleb, you have single-handedly carried me through my highschool with your youtube tutorials to the point i was able to combat the teacher in terms of knowledge. So thank you, whatever future may bring i have a strong feeling that it will be good.
Best of luck to you and your family man
Sorry to hear it Caleb, it happened to me too, yesterday. Surprise, but not really. Either way it sucks, and I hope all of us that got struck by this will swim out of it.
Here in Denmark - you cannot lay anyone off during parental leave.
It is basically as off policy as it gets and the company will get sued hard
I was thinking the same, here in Belgium we have almost the same thing, the law protects people during their parental leave, even mothers are protected way before they give birth. It is hard to see this happening. I am sure he will find something, all the best for you Caleb and your family. Keep your head up.
@@eduardohernandez552 in Spain mothers are highly protected from laidoffs but I am not sure about fathers

I have no issue about this, I know you can get a new one just right after, and I think you just need some rest for yourself, so this is just good. Wishing you the best for your next role.
I once got laid off from what I thought was my dream job. It took a few months but I later landed another dream job, and a few years later another dream job, each one a little "dreamier" than the other. You have a great attitude and you'll be bounce back! 🙂
Thank you for sharing! You got this - go Caleb :D
all the best man, it’ll be all for the better 💪
I wish you the best man!
Stay up bro! 🙏🏾
getting laid off can be an intense experience. try not to let the stress get to you. when you are back to work you will wish you had enjoyed the time off more.
Sorry to hear this Caleb. If they let a pro like you go. That's scary..😢😢
looking forward to your Python courses. Still remember your database vids and I liked them. You were cute back then tho 😁
keep going, I love your content.
Stay positive and calm everything in life happens for good reason. Learn from it and be prepared for next adventure. You will bounce back! All the best!
All the best,
I hope you get your dream job
New subscriber here. Learning python. Good content!
Hang in there man, with your skill there will be opportunities come knocking.
All the best bro - self entrepreneurship is the way - creative content development is the recession free path - persistence is the key skill to success 👍
ayo i hope you will really use this opportunity to become even better. you're a good one :)
Hi Caleb, mazel tov on the family, you've come a long way since I learned SQL from you 9 years ago. You could consider teaching tech boot camps via more established companies such as General Assembly etc. These can pay well, although they are temporary contracts (3-6 months). obviously non-compete would be an issue
Oh man I’m so sorry. You’ve helped me so much in my coding journey. I wish you the best.
First of all, congratulations on having a child! Defineltaily sending prayers your way pop!
Bro you are amazing! I did not know you had a child but wooo!!! Coolest dad for sure
Sorry for the layoff Sir . Hopefully you get a great opportunity soon . 🤞
I’m confident you’ll succeed no matter where life takes you. Believe in yourself and the work you do and things will fall into place in time. Remember you have a community, and you’re part of a community. Best!
I am very sorry to hear that.
You've helped me and SO many others through school! Good karma is coming for you bro! Wishing you the best ♥
I don't believe it. You're a genius! Congratulations! What kind of work do you want to do? Might have a connection 😊
Man, you have all the potential and skills to build your own startup
Given your skills I'm absolutely sure that you'll have a new job in no time once you're ready for it. Mind you, I fully get that it's still a shitty thing that happend to you.
Best of luck!
At the moment my only help is let Adv. run full. Will make no dent in your situation, but I am also looking for a job. Organize your expenses from day one. I mean, those fancy coffees, food delivery, using the car for minor errands etc, cook at home. Is a lot of money.
Your soft skills are impeccable. I totally believe you can find a space.
Sorry, this happened to you. But thanks for putting this in a positive perspective. It really helps! Good luck to you!
Stay on the grind
You are smart. You will get a new opportunity soon!
There are a lot of jobs for software engineers in the Guidance Navigation and Control Sector.
I'm sorry man may the millions bless you
Congrats on your child. I love your content. Currently going through your C# course so I can get a C# job. You will be fine. Just keep your head up.

Sorry about the job lay off. I’d suggest looking into jobs at Netflix looks like they might be hiring
Congratulations on Becoming Dad :)
Sorry to hear about job loss, nothing to worry you can get new Job.
