Absolutely one of the best valve body description on YT. Appreciate the info. Had no idea about the cooler being the culprit on a M35 infinity. Thank you much.
Sonnax says 'the Bosch, Nachi and Mitsubishi low coast solenoids can be freely interchanged. All three are 20-40 ohms. The odd 15-20 ohm solenoid was only used on Infinity up to August 2005'.
I have a question and I would appreciate it if you could answer me this question. I want to replace my valve body on my 2004 titan 4wd. does the tcm need to be programmed or can I replace it without worrying?
I will never buy another Nissan for the rest of my life. I did not change the valve body on my v6 07 Xterra. I replaced the transmission control module - which is affixed to the back of the valve body - with a computer from a v6 07 Frontier/?Pathfinder. The manufacturer of the used replacement TCU from ebay was different from my original TCU mfg. No programming was necessary. However, it was obvious that the TCU is a learning computer. The Frontier shiftpoints were obviously different from my driving style. That adjusted itself over time. Notice that I matched the year. No reprogramming was necessary. But I believe it's really a crapshoot. The problem with Nissan is that they want to be Toyota - but they can't catch up without cutting corners. SERIOUS corners! YOU PAY for their cost cutting and corner cutting. Recommendation #1 - Sell your Nissan - for parts if necessary! Get out without wasting any further investment. Yes - I saved my Nissan transmission laying on my back in my gravel driveway. But now I am still paying down my loan on the 07 Xterra while it has sat in a junkyard for over 1-1/2 years because the camshaft position sensor failed and caused valve-piston interference. BAM! Engine locked instantly - toast. And because I still have a loan on it, I also have to keep insurace on it - while it sits in the junkyard waitng for crushing. Bite the bullet - GET RID OF NISSAN ASAP! Recommendation #2 - If you think you like Nissan, then get a Toyota. Toyota is what Nissan wishes they were. So cut to the chase and get the Toyota. I got an 08 4Runner. LOVE IT! The only problem with Toyota is that you have to buy gas, change the oil, and replace the brake pads. uuuuugh!
Hi Scott, if they they can be interchanged, I guess I can use the valve body of a Titan (bought it from ebay) on my Xterra , the Titan VB came with a Nachi solenoid and my Xterra VB has the Bosh, that is the only difference. thanks
Hello - what year is the truck ? the 02/03's have a small gold ring control module on top of the valve body also (we didn't cover as they don't have the problems these shown do with coolant/radiator failure taking out the tcm)
Quick question on variations of Valve Body for the RE5R05A - I purchased a remanufactured valve body and the original one on my Infiniti has MCO #3 markings on it vs MCO #2 markings etched on the one I received. Are these incompatible or simple different brands?
Hello I have a 2006 Nissan 4.0L frontier NISMO. on the valve body its has a #4 . The TCM reads. HOC ETC 95-100N . Do i have to use the same style of tcm? thank you
I have a 2003 infiniti g35 coupe that was manufactured 05/2003. I need to replace the valve body but I am seeing a bunch of different prices online and sometime different types, and after watching this video, I'm a little conflicted with which one to purchase. is there a way I can figure out exactly which Valve body it is I need without having to take it to a repair shop and have them take down the tranny to find out?
I have a question and I would appreciate it if you could answer me this question. I want to replace my valve body on my 2004 titan 4wd. does the tcm need to be programmed or can I replace it without worrying?
Hello - there's some out there but the present issue you run into is an 07' used valve body is they ALL have higher miles on them and majority have noticeable coolant contamination problems. Additionally most of the reman companies sell without the tcm - If you have yours out email pics & description and 90% we can help but they are sold as is due to age and used harvest condition. Sales@CascadeTransmissionParts.Com
to our knowledge, NO - for this you would have to consult the dealer we always try to replace with what came out Unless the replacement provides some sort of update from previous design
some Hitachi can interchange with many models or may be reflashed much easier If you're seeking only the hitachi tcm i think we just a couple more in, but they will sell this week (hot item) Email us a photo of yours with close ups on numbers if interested send to --->> > Sales@CascadeTransmissionParts.Com
It's called Automatic Transmission Fluid, it's NOT called "Transmission Oil". And it's called the Transmission Fluid Cooler, it's NOT called the "Oil Cooler". I'm very disappointed you got these wrong. I'll keep searching for other companies. Thank you.
ATF is literally an oil... Also the oil cooler is the radiator, the thing with coolant in it that cools down the engine - oil - hence why it is sometimes referred to as an oil cooler In this instance he is speaking about the radiator flushing coolant into the transmission, so semantically speaking he is correct in saying oil cooler People use different terminology for the same thing, it happens all the time in blue collar work, it doesn't mean the guy doesn't know what he's talking about; it means he assumes if you're pulling out your valve body in the first place you can probably figure out what he means when he says transmission oil and oil cooler 😅
There does exist a time and a place where slang is accepted in a garage, of course. But a video like this needs to be correct. The guy sounds foolish calling it “Transmission Oil” and “Oil Cooler”. But I really don’t care that much at this point as I’ve already replaced my entire radiator, removed my valve body, replaced the low coast brake solenoid, cleaned all the pins on my TCM and I’m back on the road. You don’t really even need to purchase a rebuilt valve body.
I have an 06 nissan frontier with a 4.0L v6 with the 5 speed auto, when i put it into reverse when it's cold it shifts into reverse fine but after about 10-15 mins of driving it won't shift into reverse unless I rev the motor up to about 3-4k really quick once it's in reverse it stays no slippage or funny noises, any ideas on what it could be?
COMPLETELY SOLD OUT OF THESE VALVE BODIES -
WE HOPE THE INFORMATION IS HELPFUL TO INSURE YOU GET THE CORRECT ONE FOR YOUR NEEDS !

Are these valve bodies interchangeable? (Got a replacement with different low/coast solenoids)
There's 1 model of Valve body that you didn't include for reference, which is the one with an external TCM behind the kick panel.

Does anyone know where a little “metal ball” or bearing goes? Fell out of the valve body but I couldn’t find out where it came from.
Can the late style be interchanged with the early style? I ordered a valve body tcm assembly from nissan by vin and I received a late style tcm.
