  • The Nissan RE5R05A was launched in 2002 and fits a variety of Infinity and Nissan vehicles. There are several geartrain variations that require different shift strategies. As a result, valve body and TCM modifications have been made over the years. In addition, programming difficulties have risen as a result. Performing adaptive strategies are also very important.

    Is it possible to program an automatic transmission to not try to shift to the highest gear when in low or mid throttle? Unless manually shifting it, the vehicle's torque feels more responsive when the lowest gear used keeps the engine from dropping any lower than 2000 rpm in low throttle driving. But hey often go to the longest gear causing the transmission to takes too long to downshift.

    Hello,
    My Pathfinder (2010 4.0)has a 2 second delay when I shift the lever to D. I have to wait for it to shift into gear. the rest is great. In cold oil it's ok, when it warms up it's worse.
    I recently changed the oil to Liqui Moly ATF 1200. It corresponds to Nissan Jmatic.
    Some people write that this is normal in Pathfinder. can anyone confirm this? I've only had the car for a short time, so I don't know what it was like before.

    Lo poco que entendí es una excelente información sería genial que pudieras hacer una traducción al español

      Lo puedes hacer a traves del propio youtube. En configuración pones el idioma para traducir y te lo hace automaticamente mientras ves el video. No es perfecto pero lo comprendes perfectamente.

    Question: I have a 2009 Nissan 350z touring it's throwing a code P0745 Pressure Control Solenoid “A” Malfunction..I took it to several transmission shops and they want to rebuild the entire transmission when it's just a solenoid. .I just saw you take several of the solenoids off the assembly. Am I being scammed into paying extra money for a REBUILD ?

    • @billcastaneda6228
      @billcastaneda6228 Месяц назад

      They usually wanna rebuild the whole thing due to the age. You CAN just swap the solenoid, but if you don’t the whole thing, you won’t have to worry about it for a very long time.

    I have a 2007 Nissan Maxima I bought a junkyard valve body cause it would shift so hard it sounds like something was bound to break . All so when down shifting it would sometimes not down shift at on . I put the used valve body on it shifts good now. But for some reason I don't have reverse.. please help me. Really getting expensive..Thank you very much..

      Most likely a solenoid was bad on the old valve body. You’ll have to see which one is for reverse.

    You know what really grinds my gears? When people spell the Nissan automaker Infiniti with a "y" (Infinity). I see it all of the time and strangely enough I see it most often spelled wrong by companies. On company websites, company RUclips videos, etc. If you're a company that deals with the brand you should know how to spell the name correctly if you want people to take you seriously. Sure it's a simple mistake, but I feel it's a ding against a company's credibility if they don't care enough to proofread what they're putting out there for the world to see.

      LOL! I've had an '04 Infiniti G35 Coupe for now over 19 years (and the reason why I'm trolling RUclips re the valve body and TCM--I want to learn more due to engine light and Code P1716). Most likely, I've spelled Infiniti with a "y" in the past. Understanding where the valve body and TCM are located, and potential repairs ARE all important for me to understand with respect to how my car works and what may be wrong with it. Hard for some guys to get that, but dad used to race motorcycles, we went to his and other motorcycle and car races, and he fixed my car while explaining what he was doing, and how "things" worked. It is also important for me to understand because when I walk into a repair shop I'll know what they are talking about, and hopefully, will know when I'm potentially being BS'd or getting "scammed." I know more than most women, and even many men. Funny what little things that don't really matter get under someone's skin. Relax already!
