I don't care, what I just saw built is amazing and I'm not ready to stop looking at it. A fort on the ocean that functions as an ocean trap... But also, it's full of angry Norwegian dorfs in a way and that's a fun idea.
Krugg will ad in story if he keeps this one but I'm strictly speaking in love with the mechanics of it all.
Oh! And when it fails as all things dwarf do, it's going to be spectacular!
Interestingly enough and if I missed something here, I'm sorry but Krugg made a baby talk sound at the start of the video. Baby sound is adding a soft "wu" sound in place of an "r" sound... Like talking to a child, playing up the way a child talks for sake of a story, talking to an Animal and I know he has his little dog who I hope is well, or Krugg may have had a stroke while editing the video... When working with lots of water it might be worth building a minecart swim trainer for your dwarfs, just to make sure they have a chance if dropped into water. Do it underground to prevent freezing while dwarfs are swimming, because that leads to instant death :/

Man, it is good to see the short forts intro again. :D And I love those interior lamps, so cozy! That fish-trapping thing is quite a thought, glad you managed to do it. And finally, as soon as you mentioned the farm on the platform, I was reminded of Waterworld, ha! One stupid dwarf trick that would keep with the oceanic theme of the fort would be to build a lighthouse tower! But how to light it up? I am guessing that the sinister magma glow would work in a pinch, hur hur hur. Cheers, you bearded bastard!

Out of the Blue, I remenbered this and daydreamed about Sea fortresses for a while. I got an ideia on How to make a Sea fortress on a warm/hot biome withouth Needing massive pumps:
Throw magma over the Ocean and then Channel - then another layer of magma, layer and layer until reaching the Bottom of the Sea.
Going to test It next Fortress I make and dedicate It to Arelgulnas Kathilmigrurosor Ngitkar

Krugg, one thing that might be really nice as an appendix to short forts like this is tips for all the new players you inspire about how you're dealing with the various challenges the biome you are in present.
I know I was shocked when I did my first ocean fortress and realized that they basically make starving impossible, and have some really interesting automation options.
As an example of that, switches in the surf wired up to spikes make a permanent danger room or danger hall. They can make doors flap or make trapdoors over dump zones cycle.
