Hey y'all! I made a video about how I was able to study abroad at Kyoto University! Feel free to check it out: ruclips.net/video/NAZdF6qBctw/видео.html
LMAOAOAO i love how its like a HUGE thing for a school lunch to taste good. u were like "it was a GENUINELY good meal" like its something out of this world. the american school system is.... yes
I heard "linguistics homework" and got so excited because I'm also hoping to do a year of my linguistics degree in Kyoto uni! (If covid doesn't interfere)
Heyaaa found this comment after a year, I'm really into studying linguistics there as well therefore I want to ask if you got in and if so how is it so far? ❤
Im moving to japan in 2024 , i just wanted to know how it is to be a foreign student in japan. It looks fun im just scared i might get in a university and forget where my classes are💀
Hello! You do not have to study Japanese language while studying!! I would highly recommend learning some Japanese before you do your exchange (for ease of daily activities) but it's not required at Kyoto Uni. My home uni had required us to have at least 2 semesters of Japanese before we could study abroad!!
@@aditgurjar5586 Unfortunately I don't know anyone who had the MEXT scholarship. Sorry I couldn't help with this! There are a few other videos/youtube channels with people who have received the scholarships though, I hope that can help! ruclips.net/video/ITFMzJqpI0A/видео.html
No problem. But can you tell me how are the science subjects taught. Are there any research opportunities for undergraduate and can you do double major or a minor at UKyoto
@@aditgurjar5586 Yes there are many research opportunities for undergraduate students (even international/exchange students). As for double major/minor, I'm not too sure as I only had one major and I did not know anyone who had more than one major during my exchange
i have questions for ppl who are actually in an exchange program in Kyoto/Japan in general..I want to apply for a program from my uni to Kyoto but seems all university require me to speak Japanese, even though it is just for 4 months and its not a permanent position but just an exchange. Shouldn't there be some alternative/option for the exchange students to be able to come without having to know the language. Seems like stretch to learn a full language for only 4 months..Are there any roundabouts for this or?
I think I kind of understand where you're coming from, my home university required us to take two semesters of Japanese before we were able to do exchange but I was definitely not fluent. However I have heard that the requirement is different from university to university so I hope everything is able to work out!
Yes! Some of my friends knew no Japanese but because we were on an exchange program (and all our classes are in English), we were still able to study at Kyoto Uni. I do, however, greatly reccomend learning some Japanese before coming over as it was a bit difficult for my friends who knew no Japanese if someone wasn't there to be to help them translate
I loved Kyoto, I felt like it fit exactly what I wanted. Not too big like Tokyo or Osaka but still a major city. Surrounded by great food and culture. Kyoto Uni was great too, I learned lots from my classes, I really got along with my fellow exchange students, and I was able to join Kyoto Uni’s symphonic band! I have to admit that I don’t know much about Fukuoka but I am definitely biased with Kyoto😅😅
@@raissaalvesfontes911 Kyoto University of Foreign Studies I believe is just focused on foreign/international (founded in 1947), and Kyoto Univsersity (founded 1897) is like a normal research university
Heyy... Im thinking of studying in Japan.. And i have a lot of questions to ask.. If you dont mind can you share your Instagram id if you have,as it would be better to communicate there..
