Today, I interviewed with international students. As an international student, i had an experience living in the states. From my prospective, First three months living in different country is hard but after that feel comfortable, that is what I think. let me know about your experiences on comment or If you have any questions or suggestions, I love to answer!
3 years in Japan and going to do my PhD next year….. I study architecture at Tokyo Tech. I have N2 in Japanese, my course is in “100%” in English. Japan's BIGGEST problem is honne tatemae. I've never had a problem dealing with people…. but in Japan having to read between the lines in everything is so tiring. Japanese don't say what they think, you have to read their mind…. So sad for them
Hi so I saw your comment and I was wondering if you could help me a little bit. So I wanna study in Japan as an architecture student, but don’t know how to start the application and stuff. I don’t graduate until 2026 but I wanna study for 2 years.
@@AshIynMarieYt I’m Mext’s student , I got a scholarship from Japanese government , you can tried this one it’s very good and you can apply once per year 😄
Tatemae problem is real. I never know if I'm talking to a friend or if they're trying to be polite. Usually i just mind my own business and when someone comes to be, I'm trying to be friendly as well. But I've given up at this point
@@maetski Here's what I did: -Select a research topic -find a professor who works in that field -read his past work -email him asking for a position in his lab (referencing his work that interests you) -highlight why you want to do this research and why are you qualified -get his preliminary approval -apply to the university -get selected and move to Tokyo I hope it was helpful :)
Thanks for this video ! I'll be an exchange student next year during spring semester in the University of Tokyo. Hope i'll be able to make japanese friends !

the half japanese dude introduces himself as if he's from Japan, but doesn't speak Japanese, on top of that expecting Japanese people to have "better English proficiency" ugh
