Not true. At all. It's typical for a Japanese worker or student to focus on their responsibilities 15+ hours a day (at maximum effort). Which is why many Japanese people get drunk every night. Because they need to let loose. And also explains why they have the second highest suicide rate in the world. Many can't handle the pressure. It is an incredibly overworked culture. Which has both positives and negatives.
It's different in Japan. I had a friend there and he said it's pretty in picture but when it comes to students looking for Jobs it's actually problematic. They usually struggle because the market is small, many come to the US, but a handful.
Day in the life of a typical 'successful and disciplined Japanese university student with a impressive study-life balance and a bright future'. Here I fixed the title for you.

@@hugius1269 Native English speaker here, I've been learning Japanese for about 2 years now. I would say it's about on par with college-level physics in terms of difficulty. The part I find most challenging is how kanji can be pronounced entirely differently depending on context. With the latin alphabet, I can generally assume that a character has 1 or maybe a few, at most, pronunciations. There are many layers to the Japanese language that someone coming from an English (or more broadly Germanic language family) speaking environment find difficult, but not impossible, to understand.
I get that people in Japan generally work pretty hard but damn, they also seem to have really good conditions to be able to do that? I wish my university had like, a gym, or even half the facilities this university has 😭
I dont know which University you attend. It was clearly stated he attends one of the Top University in Japan. Clearly you need money and good academic performance. So it having a Gym and Store isnt that unusual
Every country has universities with those things. I come from colombia and because it is a third world latinamerican country people would assume we dont have anything like that but my university is actually pretty similar to the one in the video. Although this one seems kind of lonely. As a university student, I couldnt be able to go through a day with that lack of human contact!!
I just want to say how amazing you are at giving the respectful space and comfortableness while filming all your day in the life videos! Honestly, everyone you follow seem to be super natural even if there is a camera following them around. And it probably takes a lot effort to accompany them the whole day! Keep doing what you do! ^_^
same thought i had, what kind of question is "do japanese people skip classes?" everyone does that regardless of your culture hahaha feels like this guy is on the "oMg JaPan is so UNIquE" side of things.
@@FrameByFrame96 well not always. Japanese culture and many asian cultures pride themselves on being prompt and not being absent so it would be more unlikely that a japanese student would willfully skip classes
For the moment of it I think the life of being a Japanese student is very consistent towards academic performance and balance socialization. I wish that could happen in the Philippines because it is not very stable when it comes to academics but more on socializes and hanging out but anyways your video is very detailed and I'm very impressed and enjoyed by your content ❤
I think all of this is going to affect us a lot. I mean, no one will feel like coughing in public, or drink from their friends' glass, also we will all be more careful about hygiene (wash our hands in the restaurant in cases where we generally wouldn't have).Even when everything will be over
I graduated without studying a lot... Just make sure you listen during lectures & take notes. The day before a test I check the notes to see if I remembered the things I wrote down, then I try to make sure I remember whichever I forgot. Most of my "learning from studying" was through the projects we had to do lol I learned while doing them.

"Balanced life from part time works, social life, and academic"
Me: Is that even possible :✓
Not true.
