he was mean and petty in a humorous way. it was never serious. he really did care about all of them. he just showed it differently and that's why I love his character so much.
I've never seen this but I have say, as much as Mark teesed & took the piss out of Betty in a wierd, joking, friendly banter way he never disrespected her or her family the way his mum just did. It was nice to see him defending her & her family💜
I watched this show close to a decade ago. It was the first time I saw a flamboyant gay character at all in my life as a kid that grew up in a fundamentalist christian family. I think it was part of why I started to question religion. When my sister came out it did not even phase me the only thing i worried about was how my mom would react.
The contrast between Marc and Amanda is genius. Marc loves his mom, who rejected him for existing as the person he was born to be. Amanda has two loving adoptive parents who she rejects because they're not her biological parents. Really makes you think
i love this show so much. how powerful it is. pp changed for the best. in my country they did a remake of this show but it was all about love love and love
She was a total azzhat, but I'm glad that she was written this way. Too many writers want everything to be all lovey-dovey, but that is not the real world. I loved it when he said he wanted her to get to know the real me, and the way he stood up for the Suarez family and how nice they'd been to them, and how they'd all done him a solid.
Reminds me of my cousin, everyone in the family but his mother knows he's gay. Please he's 40 years old and his "roommate" sleeps in the same room, yeah he's not gay
I hope it comes the day that there's no more come out and no more fathers rejecting their sons for their sexual orientations. I felt so bad for Marc. I wanted to hug him. 😢
Agree. It blows my mind how technically advanced we've become and backwards we are regarding humanity and ignorant in general about any sentient being.
my grandma is like this but only shittier and more abusive. she'll die not knowing im bi and I dont care. If my own turn out lgbt there will be hell to pay if she comes at them. Shes already got shitty takes on disability
Mark was a lovely guy, no matter how much he made fun of Betty but he always respected her family, especially Justin.

I loved to hate Marc, this scene just makes me love him
But...but...he was my favourite character, he was so kind toward justin, he always protected the kid!
same
I forgot how powerful this scene was!
I don’t remember this being so high quality but I’m not complaining. Fuzzy or not this scene is legendary
think its been remastered cause it definitely isn't like that on my dvds lol

Aww, best show ever, worth to re-watch the whole 4 seasons. I love Betty, and Marc.
He’s always been my favourite character and to see him opening up like this was just amazing!
Ugly Betty was so ahead of its TIME
Yeah portraying Latino men as trash wasn’t really ahead of anything
@@jovanym2931 what are you talking about? Most latino men in the show are portrayed in a sympathetic, positive light
@@JT-cx2evthe father of Justin got a small redemption arc too!! Showing that anyone can change
"THE GOLDEN GIRLS MARATHON IS ON!"
I shouldn't have laughed so hard but I did. Golden Girls was the shit though ngl...
if I have a son like Marc Comes out to me, I will be like: anything else?
Will you come out of the attic finally?

every time I see her she's playing a bigot this is the second time I see her in a show the first one is pose
In AHS too!
That’s because she’s a gay Icon. LuPone loves her gays and they love her.
Shes pretty cool in Pennydreadful
My brain worked too fast and read "Marc comes out as ugly"
somebody you know 😂😂😂
You know what 😂😂😂😂
Y'all shouldn't have cancelled this!!!
My favorite show of all time!!
At least had an ending.
Not “swishy” 😳🤭🤣
Yeah, Marc’s mom was a piece of work!!!
Loved Ugly Betty.

PATTI I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!
The Golden Girls marathon is on!
Love Marc
She sounds exactly like yellow diamond
You CLOD!!!!!!
I want you to guess why this might be
She is yellow diamond....
she IS yellow
I just got major torch song flashbacks
I want to give kudos to Marc for standing up for the entire Suarez family. Not just Justin, but everyone else.
Out of all the stuff Disney is remaking or bringing back, this is the one they need to do.
And his mother came back!! Rough Scene
The description is wrong, this episode is Season 1 Episode 18 "Don't Ask, Don't Tell"
In the end, Marc makes peace with his mother not being accepting - he is a fabulous person and his mother is missing out by being judgemental.
Golden Girls marathon!
So so sad
He has to come out?!
On Will &Grace,Karen asked if Jack's mom was headless, because that's the only way she wouldn't know her son was gay
To his mom
Denial can make you blind to reality or not discussing it and accepting it makes it somehow more tolerable for the other person but makes you unhappy.
She obviously knew she just didnt want to deal with it.
You got a problem with that?
Cool..
Wow
Why Marc mother don’t want to know the real him. I know how he feel. My mom does that to
my grandma is like this but only shittier and more abusive. she'll die not knowing im bi and I dont care. If my own turn out lgbt there will be hell to pay if she comes at them. Shes already got shitty takes on disability
Marc was never more manly than he was in this scene.
I fear stuff like this
But Patti? You said anything goes?
What season and episode is this?
I bet she's devout christian
Think they orthodox jews he wears a kippah in episodes and her last name and his is weiner
S he really gay in real life
Yes even the kid
