Season 4 should have been about them two finally getting together, not the final episode. People stopped watching the show because they got tired of waiting. Just when we think we would get something, then the writers make up Matt and then bring in that theater writer, then bring back Henry and Gio again. We don't care about them, we wanted Betty and Daniel in the end. They are the only two who get eachother.
@@Andrea-un5pk well no the whole point is they did get together lol, just in the last 5 minutes of the last episode lol. He moved to London for her lmfao. He wasn't just there in random cold weather for the touristy sites lol. He knew where she worked and was waiting to bump into her lol.
It wasn't for them to be together it was for them to grow and be mature more than the love shit .. I waited for them too yup but it was even better as it is
I had watched the show when it came out but had forgotten a lot of it so I went through the entire series again. Love it and felt sad when it was finished. I never saw Daniel and Betty together, thought they had gone through so many of life's ups and downs and that they really understood each other. Betty was a great assistant and went above what her job entailed for Daniel so he began to feel that he needed her with him. I think that he loved her as a best friend and didn't want to see her leave his life completely. I'm not sure what was suppose to happen to them in London, that was a surprise to me that Daniel went there. I saw that there was some talk of a reunion movie if everyone was on board. I wish that they would go ahead with it, I'd like to see where the characters would be today.
It's funny because they were the intended endgame couple, but in the context of the show I never thought they made sense together. They had a brother/sister dynamic.

Having been a big fan of the series in its original run, I was a Betty/Daniel romance fan but I did love the friendship they developed. *SOME SPOILERS AHEAD* I understand that Silvio Horta was not keen on getting them together like in the Columbian telenovela, but he did state in an interview that a regret he had, as time went on, was neglecting their relationship since they were the core of the series. Unfortunately, the writing for the show had gone down in season 3 and sadly struggled to recover resulting in a quick cancellation the following season with very little time to probably wrap up the series the way Horta may have envisioned. I do feel the series finale was satisfactory in wrapping up more of the main storylines: Justin coming out, Wilhemina become Editor in Chief of Mode, Daniel deciding to find his own path, Marc becoming Mode's Creative Director, Amanda finding her birth father, and Betty following her dream to own/run a magazine. As for Betty and Daniel, I rewatched the show years later and have more appreciation for how it was written in which they are supportive and each other's rock. They have their ups and downs but lift themselves up in a positive way and truly care for one another. And with more discussions on the boss-employee romance in fiction, along with office romances in general, I find it refreshing that Betty and Daniel never go that route, and that it's only hinted at towards the very end of the series when they are no longer boss-employee. The writers wisely choose to leave it open ended as a possibility of something more and yes, I would like a brief continuation to tie up the loose ends left behind.

I honestly saw their relationship with a more siblings vibe for most of the series… now, I wouldn’t have objected to them getting together later, BUT I would have liked to see the transition from friends to actual couple… like in a season 5 or a special finale or a movie 🍿 😮
I’m still mad that this is based of the original Colombian novela but they didn’t have them end up together 😭 how are you going to adapt a show & not keep the main couple together😭😭

That was Season 1 Daniel. He literally stopped being a womanizer and grew as time went on. He married Molly who was a regular person, not a model, just a modest kindergarten teacher. I like to think Betty’s influence changed him. The Betty effect changed the people around her. Even Marc and Amanda became less obnoxiously bitchy. Matt was Daniel 2.0. He also used women as a coping mechanism until Betty. Does he get the same criticism? He was also a big jerk after his breakup with Betty. Granted, she deserved it after kissing Henry and not telling Matt about it. But jeopardizing her career, a passion she’s worked so hard for all her life, because he was hurt was not okay.
Literally, why does RUclips want us to have to pay to watch this entire soap opera? A lot of others are completely free of cost but why not Ugly Betty? 😒

Perhaps, wrestling with idea, that just maybe these two tastey morcles, should realise where their hearts actuall6 are, and fall in love. I mean, there's already a premptive' strike already centred around. The mead family. On the "lgbt community, with his brother. "Alex" comming to terms with his being different. Several years before, thus disassociating himself, from the family. Only to return in the current time period paradox. As the transexual' born again sister, now Alexis mead. Now that possible scenario, shouldve been the petfect catalyst to come out. Years ago, when ugly betty, was still in production. Don't you think??? 😊❤ ✝️ ❤😊
