RoboBiggles - Scale FPV Highlights 2017

- WW2 fighters, twins, multi-engine bombers, advance trainers - all of them are different and none of it is boring. Especially when you're sitting in the cockpit.
Next year's FPV fleet will include full blown FPV flights in the B17 from 4 HD camera positions, adding cockpit and waist gunner views to the teaser clips of the navigator and upper gunner positions included in this compilation. Work was not completely finished until the weather became unsuitable for decent scale FPV flights in 2017. With luck the long-awaited Avios Spitfire MkVb may well join the fleet next year too.

I watched an interview with an old RAF bomber pilot. He watched as a restored Lancaster landed then went to speak to the pilot. This younger man was a commercial trained pilot and former RAF officer. The old veteran said that it was a perfect landing. But when they flew during WW2 that their training was so limited they usually landed by getting near the ground then cutting the engines to let the plane bump down on it's own.
Since then I see the bumpy landings of big RC models and think they look more like the real thing.
One word : PERFECT !

The Turnigy 180 from Hobbyking. Inexpensive, and if you have an openTX transmitter you can program it to do 260 degrees!
