    Bonham's subtlety was even more impressive than his brutality, too me. Always harder for me to master that ability to step in and out of the two with ease like him.

    Very cool video Terry. For me when I first heard the isolated drums it was amazing 1) how much swing there is in the drums especially near the start, and 2) how epically late the first few crash cymbals are in the first few bars. Its like they come at the very last millisecond where they still make sense. You don't really notice when you hear the final mix, but it adds so much to the overall feel imo (not a drummer, probably don't know what I'm talking about 🤣)

    Man, you're such a solid drummer.
    Oh, and BTW the "implied" thing you're talking about at 4:30 is either a bit of slap delay or it's the predelay from the plate reverb. Took me about 30 years of listening to that tune to notice. That plate reverb setting is all over the rest of the record, so that's the likely option

    Page should go through the albums on the faders... before he crokes.

  • @MeAndTheBoys_

    I think Bonham plays one handed 16th notes on the hihat, thats what i have always thought. That is the only way to make the beat swing properly. Two handed 16th notes sounds too mechanical in contrast.
    One handed 16th notes, and the accents on the snare, there you go. Now it sounds right.

  • @portal432
    @portal432 5 месяцев назад

    During the guitar solo I hear very very faint ghost notes on the snare. Like he’s doing a diddle between accents.
    Anyone else hear that?
