    What were you doing exactly with the 2 pry bars?

    How do you know where to set the intake camshaft when it moved from taking the phaser sprocket bolt out? The sprocket doesn't have anything to lock it in place. The phaser have so much play in it?

      I have the very same question...

    • @RenegadeModelRailroader
      @RenegadeModelRailroader 2 года назад +1

      @@lawrencesheehan8540 There is a 19mm or 21mm 6 sided piece (which is part of the cam shaft) you can use a wrench to move it back to its location. The timing chain is always going to have a bit of slack when turning it by hand. The oil pressure while running keeps complete tension on the chain. So while running it has no slack. see my video here. ruclips.net/user/shorts7eVxuyhbeNs

    Still haven’t found a good answer as to where to set the intake cam when putting the phaser on. Mine rolled forward when I took the chain off. My exhaust cam also moved counter clockwise a hair so the timing line was above the head deck. When reinstalling the chain, do I move the exhaust cam back to level? It looks like I’m your video, the exhaust cam line was where mine is currently (just above the head deck line). What to do?? There’s little to no info about this one out there. All data is no help. They say just take it off and put it back essentially.

    I'm a visual learner and was able to follow most of what you were doing. I have some questions as I have to replace this same exact component. 1) What were you doing with the two pry bars on the timing chain before you removed and replaced the CVVT motor? 2) I'm assuming the timing marks may or may not be lined up exact and that is why you have to turn the motor so that timing marks are aligned before replacing the CVVT intake part? Thanks,

    • @bernardocardenas2815
      @bernardocardenas2815  3 года назад

      Whit the two pry bars I was trying to pry slowly so that way I won’t brake the timing cover And to the turning the engine just to make sure the timing is properly aligned to the marks so that way we wouldn’t have engine damage.

    Buen día bernardo hablas español ? Bueno tengo un problema con mi carro Hyundai sonata 2015 2,4 sport me prendió la luz de p1326 le cambien el censor scripción del código DTC P1326 ...El KSDS (Sistema de detección del sensor de detonaciones) tiene como función detectar las vibraciones que son señales de desgaste excesivo del cojinete de la biela. Este sistema se encuentra diseñado para dar advertencia al conductor de una etapa temprana del desgaste de los rodamientos, antes que pueda producirse un daño severo al motor, en donde se incluye una falla del motor.
    Cuando comienzan a tener lugar constantes vibraciones causadas por el desgaste de los cojinetes, la luz MIL (luz indicadora de mal funcionamiento) tiene un parpadeo continuo para advertir al conductor de la situación. Además de esto, será establecido un código DTC que indicará la razón del problema. En el caso del código P1326 OBDII para los vehículos Hyundai significa que el KSDS ha experimentado un mal funcionamiento. … le cambié el censor por uno nuevo siguió con la falla del mismo código.. toma la decisión de desar tapa y cadena a ver y todo se ve en su tiempo pero voy a reemplazar el engrane de CVVT de admisión. Pero note qué hay que graduar el engranaje y no se cómo hacerlo.. tendrás información o video de eso es en engranaje número de parte 24350 2GGA0

    I think This sonata is a six cylinders engine, is not it? I have had a look at a 2014 sonata’s 4 cylinders engine, it does not look like this one, I think there was only one plastic engine top cover covering both the camshafts pulleys and rods

    • @RenegadeModelRailroader
      @RenegadeModelRailroader 2 года назад +1

      This certain engine is not a 6 cylinder. It is a newer version of the 4 cylinder GDI 2.4 and its the one from 2017 and up i believe. Similar to the one you mentioned with the single valve cover. That motor is 2.4 too but came before this one in the video. Theta 2 or something lol

      It's true thanks a lot for your reply
      But I have heard these ones are having trouble with an oil cooler.....
      Hyundai added a small oil cooler connected with the Radiator just above the oil filter that is unfortunately does mix oil and water in there
      Although I have seen a lot of buyers complaining firstly about engine head thinking it has gone or at least the gasket
      But most likely it is not other than the newly added oil cooler
