I was cleaning out my closet and found The Black Sea album but with no disc in it. 😭 I remember listening to it non-stop when I was in middle school back in '07. Such a great album.
Wow good times. 2006. Wow how the time flies. Hope everything’s going good for ya zach
That solo is tasty. I like the tapping :)
this band is great I dont understand why they don;t make another album the homepage is not working i want another album about this guys T.T im listening ghouslpoon too and i love it this is the only band than i heart every day these guys are great
Thanks guys. Ghoulspoon broke up in 2001 and DBZ broke up a few years ago. Markus left the band in 1998. My new band is called The Secret Seven, you can find us on MYspace and Facebook. More mellow, Beatles-y kinda band. Thanks for the support! PS We didn't make a video for Helicopter, so I can't post it, but you can get it on itunes. If not, send $10 and I'll send you a brand new cd.
saw you guys on the UVTV video podcast. it has taken me agess to find this song!
i dont see why you guys havent taken off, you have a good sound with a small reggae sound coming through!
love it
Is Jason Vick playing drums? It's April 2023 now and i think he just joined Sublime with Rome.
Not Bad! The story says it all!!
Why are all the good bands broken up when I discover them? Damn! This is epic!
RUclips sorely lacks a replay button.
Hey Zach, where i can find the lyrics of the songs in "the black sea" album ? still cant figure out "strike in the timebomb town" and "dont wait" lyrics, i really love all your songs since the beggining of ghoulspoon, its a shame that the band broke up, the songs are all really nice, and they make me feel better, so, please, bring back that californian crossover metal again for us! thanks!
Great song! Looks like the good ol' Brick By Brick, eh? Just a few steps from NICO'S! I grew up on Ghoulspoon and I'd love to be able to buy the old stuff still, but Zachary is always good in anything.
Zach do you have any cd of “the separation ep”? I will buy it if you have any copy
I think I have a few copies. I also have mp3's of all the unavailable albums in my dropbox. Email me and I'll send you the link. dividedbyzach@gmail.com
We used to play with Sublime back in the day but didn't really know their music much until after Bradley died. We were more influenced by old school reggae and rocksteady music, Desmond Dekker, Jimmie Cliff, Harder they Come soundtrack, Rockers Soundtrack etc. If you like Sublime you should dig a little and check out some of their influences. Thanks for the nice words.
Wow I never knew you played with sublime, sucks Bradley never really got to see fame
Zach, did you received my e-mail adress ? i still didnt received the mail with the lyrics =/
Weak link = Vocals. Proper powerful singer and these guys would make it BIG
Hey, we can't all be as good as you, but thanks for listening :)
I think what's missing is intensity. I'm not trying to take the piss. Production on the vocals was a bit cheesy too. Could almost have been Nickleback. This band are really good, but that stuff I'm moaning about? Limiting factors on success . I'm quite a DubWar fan so Love a bit of fusion. Good luck
That band broke up 9 years ago, but thanks. And the producer was Mikey Doling from Soulfly and Snot.
Personally I adore the vocals on this record. and the riffs.
It's too bad about the label, Chemical and Time Bomb have kind of been making a resurgence on net radio lately.
What radio would that've been?
Dude, I remember playing twisted metal 4 when I was like 8 years old and I would go to the same level over and over just to hear Ghoulspoon. You guys kicked ass back then and still have some good stuff today! Keep going and I bet you will go mainstream! I also get the feeling that your jazzy feeling during the solo parts in your songs are related to sublime. Any relation to them or inspiration from them?
Cool, I hope you get it ok. Our label basically folded, so the distribution has been a bit dodgy. Contact me directly if there's a problem.
give me your email and I'll send over complete lyrics.
email me and I'll send you all the lyrics.
I didn't see it. Send me an email to dividedbyzach@gmail.com
I agree, singer sucks.
