- i was so excited to carry and try out my new polymer80 g26 i forgot to make a video on making a holster.but after a friend shot mine he went out and purchased one. so i made him the same holster in carbon fiber blue (hes a cop). it turned out amazing ,and i take you on the journey with me. showing you the key steps and a little insight on what i think makes a good holster.i been using this simple and easy to make holster and belt clip for 5 years and i love it.i also show you a few other types of holsters i used and sometimes still use.

I just made the same scissor jack press today after graduating from a hinged press. I suggest you invest in better foam. Its really inexpensive and the quality shows. BTW, no glove from toaster to press is pretty savage!

Is there a specific reason you go with rivets as opposed to screws? I use a screw set up so if the person wants leather we can unscrew the kydex and make a leather backing. Or screws up the side so they can adjust the ride height as they please.

I would strongly recommend against allowing the front of the slide to protrude out the front of the holster for two reasons
1) the front sight may snag on the holster itself
2) The front of the slide is absolutely hot enough to burn through clothing after a range day. I know this from experience.
If you don't want to scratch the slide block the ejection port and slide cuts do more layers of tape, make sure your tape lays flat and not look like ass dont make 90° cuts

If it's for a gen 3 then it should work. I have shot a 22. Converted glock 23(I think it was a 23) and it worked fine for the short amount of time I played with it. but it had 10 round mags so training with it is kind of pointless and I rather practice with the round I'm going to shoot, at least same caliber and recoil. For just a cheap ammo option for plinking it should be fine. Love me some 22lr. My favorite 22 handgun is the ruger 22/45 tactical.
