This was very helpful. Like Mosby's men, this is the third video I watched to figure out how to use this thing! It's that lock tab that is not intuitive and, without instructions, is hard to figure out. So I owe you one!!
Great video! Thank you for taking the time to explain that you can mount a sheath in any orientation. I've had to comb through half a dozen videos before someone even mentioned it. Thanks!
Thank you so very much for explaining how Tek-Lok works. Just opened my Blade-Tech holster and could not figure out how to open this. Your instruction was excellent. Thank you again.
......So, it looks like the knife sheath then rides on the outside of the belt, and One normally has to remove the belt, in order to take the knife and sheath off, (in other words, the toggle lock, and "squeeze" steps are only necessary during the initial assembly of the "Tek-Lok" assembly onto the knife sheath. = it's not used very often!..) Thanks!!!! This really helps, since I just bought a Boker double edged combat dagger, and I need to get it set up for EDC. Thanks!!!
Thinking about ordering a Tek-Lok. Have you found that once the belt width has been set that you can easily thread the belt through the opening without opening it each time. Thanks for the Informative video.
Agreed there may be times to open the latch but if I am putting on several items on a belt it may be easier at times to thread through it. Just wondering if you could run a belt through it. Thanks.
Decided to finally order a tek lok after seeing your video, now after receiving it, the included screws are like half as long as the ones in this video, screws weren’t even long enough to pass thru the kydex holster rivets
did you try it without the rubber pieces? Tek-Lok really cheaps out on this product... It should include more sets of screws in varying lengths... Its pathetic that they only include 3 sets of small screws.
i just bought one , it came with NO instructions , it looks really well made why would they not have instructions this is the third video im looking at to find out how to open it , everyone assumes you know
CRKT did send me one of these for free and the customer service is great but it doesn’t even come close to fitting my sheets and I don’t understand this. It looks just like the one you have.
When I received my holster from Tru-Blade the Tek-Lok was pre attached. I noticed on your video, and on another I watched you put the release on the top of the belt. Tru-Blade put it on the bottom. Does it make any difference?
Just used this on the bk2. 3 screws on the side 4 zip ties on the bottom 2 of em being middle bottom. U can use zip ties to make any config work. Anyways. Mine is set of for horizontal carry I pull to my right side blade facing down in order to pull out the knife. Cheers
Is there a smaller version of the tek-lok. I'm trying to make a bird and trout knife into a something carried on a belt instead of hanging around my neck and I like this design but it's to large for my needs. Thanks.
Oh my gosh dude I feel like an idiot I can't believe I didn't think about the rubber on the post I used them as washers on the screw guess I'll be changing that when I get back home
3:30 who cares about wiggle room if the entire thing slides side to side? I cant stand the fact that they didn't design it to actually grip onto the belt itself. I don't want to go to pull my blade out and the entire tek-lok pull back with it until it slams into my belt loop eventually tearing it... My solution was to use two of the screws in the center of the tek-lok with the rubber pieces on the inside so they grip the belt and stop it from sliding side to side. The problem with that? They only give you two screws so that leaves me with one screw to attack my knife to the tek-lok which isn't enough.... For what they want for these things they should include 5-6 sets of screws.... Its pitiful
Very nice quality materials with a terrible design for adjustments. I spent two hours last night removing three screws to adjust position of the Tek Lok on a new BladeTech Classic OWB. The t-nuts are nearly impossible to access with a blade driver when attempting to unscrew the phillips screws. Had to make a tool to complete the job. There are a couple of obvious ways to simplify screw/t-nut access, and it baffles my as to how the designers missed this. Again, great quality materials in belts, buckles, holsters, mag pouches, etc., but not at all user friendly if you wanna make other than "standard" adjustments to the factory-mounted Tek Lok on the classic holster.
Thank You!!!!!!!!! Sat here for 5 minutes and finally looked it up.

Thank you my tek-lok came attached to my holster, no instructions to open it. Your video made it very easy, thanks again!
Not a problem, thank you for watching.
Everything I know about Tek-lok I just learned from you, Thank you for your straight to it presentation.
Thank you. I couldn't figure out how to open it and it didn't come with instructions. Great job.
Thank you so very much for explaining how Tek-Lok works. Just opened my Blade-Tech holster and could not figure out how to open this. Your instruction was excellent. Thank you again.
Thanks for taking the time to post this info about the Tek-lok system.
Good video. My holster came with the Tek Lok but no instructions on how to use it so this vidoe helped. Thanks!
Fantastic video! Thank you for solving the mystery of how to open one of these.
I never got it squeezed open. My arthritis woudn't let it happen. I work on my own guns but can't manage cheap accessories like this. Mangle it-techo
Excellent video! Clear, concise, well filmed. Thank you!

Glad to be of assistance.
Very helpful. Thank you so much.

47fireguy you could run your belt through but why wouldn't you want to open the latch without having to take off your belt?

Really appreciate this video, helped make sense of it
Thank you so much for this video. I sat there looking at the belt clip for 10 minutes and couldn’t not figure out how to open this thing.
Thank you for posting this.

R H I emailed them and got them to send me the “knife sheath hardware” which included longer screws and posts
@@johnnygee_1991 I may have to give that a try
what knife is that that you have I like it
i just bought one , it came with NO instructions , it looks really well made why would they not have instructions this is the third video im looking at to find out how to open it , everyone assumes you know
Mosby's men hopefully it was helpful to you.
it was i was trying to open the other end of the latch . i got it now .
Do you really need instructions for a tek lok lol?
What kind of knives did you use in this video??
The one in the brown sheath is a Scrap Yard 411 & the one in the blue sheath is a Anza Custom Skinner
Great vid.
CRKT did send me one of these for free and the customer service is great but it doesn’t even come close to fitting my sheets and I don’t understand this. It looks just like the one you have.

Not really it's a personal preference, I feel it's easier to open the latch from the top.
Thank you so much. I definitely would have broken mine trying to get it open.
thank you so much!!
THANKS FOR THE VIDEO !!!
No problem, thanks for the comment.

Good video. Great instruction and explanation thanks
nice purse... I mean "coach bag" lol
fannybag?
What blade are both of those?
The problem I have is when you pull on the knife the sheath just slides down your belt
The rubber’s what does the magic !!! I should have used the rubber 😅😂😂
Excellent video
Thanks. I couldn’t figure out how to open it.
Holy Cow! I didn't know it had a lock, no wonder I couldn't get it open.
On connecting teklok to taccom shotgun shell holder does rubber washer go between the two?
Yes the rubbers go in between.
Excellent thanks
Awesome video Dude ! Keep it up. I am trying to find a good belt clip/carrying solution for a Cold Steel SRK and a Recon Tanto. This will work great.
Thanks for watching. The large tek-lok will work great.
Is there a smaller version of the tek-lok. I'm trying to make a bird and trout knife into a something carried on a belt instead of hanging around my neck and I like this design but it's to large for my needs. Thanks.
schlaznger yes there is a smaller version of the tek-lok. Perfect for smaller sheaths.
Great, thank you for the help.
Look into the ulti-clip slim...that's exactly what you want
Thank YOU!!!

"The rubber is what does the magic". I disagree on that ond, but good "how to" video man.
Oh my gosh dude I feel like an idiot I can't believe I didn't think about the rubber on the post I used them as washers on the screw guess I'll be changing that when I get back home
thanks!
Спасибо Чувак!
THANK YOU! I clearly failed the 10% rule, but at least my faith is restored that this belt clip isn't insane. It's quite good actually.
I was just about to force mine open and break it. Thanks
Or limited by Schrade's sheath on the SCHF17... LOL
If I'd had this info a week ago I'd have more hair left on my head.
🤙🤘🔥

Can you put it on molle tho?
3/4 inch between holes
You put the guides between the belt bro, you’re doing it wrong.
A man that buys a Coach fanny pack likely takes it in the fanny.
Haha was thinking of something to comment until I seen yours and it's too perfect to one up, thanks for the wise words man!
Like a molle vwst
Thanks Cameron. I also realized a lot you mfs shouldnt be owning guns
Vest
Just stop the BS and get on with the info. To much babbling.
I'm surprised Americans don't need instructions on how to drink water...
very nice blade. the sheath and tek lok is a total shit design.
Very helpful! Thank you.
Thanks!
