Haha, this is the best,. Im 49 and took up skateboarding (via a surfskate) a month ago so I could skate with my teen daughter, so I get the stoke!

The Highlands track looks perfect. You two obviously were more dialed in on your return trip. Great, great quality video & tour references. Im 58 and been long boarding. I was a former pool and park skater from AZ and in the last twelve years of going to San Diego and Anaheim on vacation with my family, I've been taking my sector nines with me .I'm hoping to buy a Carver for the next trip I take out there. They are all sold out as of this writing.

What a difference a day or two or practicing make! You and your daughter really make the rounds and looked so much more surefooted / confident your second time around at Pacific Highlands Ranch Pump Track! With so much freer front wheel/truck movement on surf skates, I really noticed that when you both rode the pump tracks, likely making it trickier to ride than on a conventional skate board, eh?

@@SurfskateLove this one is big and better built, seems to be more smooth ground. We are always impressed by pumptracks we didn't ride yet xD
You know what I envy the most??? The fact that you ain't afraid of going into skate parks. I'm too afraid to get into pump tracks. I can carve and cruise on average hills, flats, small slides...but I can't picture my self pumping on a track. And watching you two get to it not caring what others might think or say...I loved it. Maybe the comunity here in my city is a bit harsher on newbies...and makes it unconfortable. The other option is to wake up earlier than birds and try it when they're sleeping, but that's too early even for me!! hahahahah. Lovely fam you've got!!!

I am riding Pukas 33.5 and Waikiki 40, enjoying different styles. Would love to have Malibu 36, but it is unavailable in my country :( Would Carver Tyler 36.5 be an adequate substitute fo Malibu? To be honest I love my Yows more than Carver after experience from Mayhem I own, and therefore afraid to go for Carver Tyler... Maybe an idea for you to have a video comparing Malibu vs Tyler?..
Question for you Steve. I have a skate park like this one close to our house. But I’m new at surf skating. I have a new Slide, based 100% on your recommendation. So I believe you!
How hard was it for you to get to the point that you could skate the park in this video?
Well, I've been skating pretty much every day for about 2.5 years. So I would just say it depends on how much you skate. But if you're skating every day, should be a matter of months.
I have never seen pumptrack in my life. One question, are they free entrance ?
Most of them are public, yes.
I would be a bit worried of leaving fairly new and premium boards like that unattended in a skatepark
Would it be easier with a shorter or longer board?
