The story had previously been that she had stabbed him in the stomach that night and he was sobbing because he was begging her to get help for him. She was recording it because she thought making it about the candles would somehow prove her innocent. I''m not sure why the story changed; I still think she hurt him that night and that's why he was crying.

He was already seriously injured if you listen closely he says something along the lines of I'm just worried about my burns and she shushes him quickly as it doesn't fit with the proof of life video she's making imo. Poor baby was terrified and in pain and I don't normally wish ill on anybody but this woman deserves to rot in Hell but first I want her to live a long life forever afraid of the other inmates.
I couldn't believe how she was behaving in the police car either or on the news interviews. Complaining in the car that the officer was threatening her, (I doubt they were as they all kept their composure thankfully so that she couldn't twist it in court) and that people were disrespecting her etc when she already knew she had done far worse to a defenceless child. She's a vile coward! If she truly had issue with Al she was clearly to pathetic to take it up with him directly. Having accidents in a child that was previously potty trained and doing well is a major RED FLAG that there is a ton of stress that child is enduring. It doesn’t necessarily mean physical abuse, or emotional abuse, but it definitely points at a major stress in their life that didn’t exist before. Gannon suddenly having “accidents” likely meant he was feeling a lot of bad shit coming from his stepmom. The candle wax video.. you can hear a lot of terror in his voice. He was scared of her. For how long, who knows.. but it was clear he was scared of her.
Same thing happened with harmony Montgomery (sperm donor Adam was found guilty this past week.) she was five when she was sent to live with him. She never had issue with accidents until she was back with him, and then it turned into a daily struggle. staying clean was a point of PRIDE for her. Her foster mother said Harmony trained HERSELF because she wanted to be a big girl. Poor girl lasted onto months with her “dad” and step mom before she was killed.

It’s made pretty clear that she didn’t want to raise any more kids, especially not ones that weren’t her own. But she’s a narcissist who only cares about herself. We don’t know specifics of the divorce, or why the dad was chosen over the mom. She may not have had any say in how the court ruled. Custody agreement can extremely serious and strict, and they already lived in different states. Or maybe she was a dead beat mom- I don’t think she was, But either way, it doesn’t matter. Leticia is the person who matters here, because she’s the one who committed the ultimate crime of taking an innocent child’s life, something that like 99.99% of people would never even think about doing. It’s so vile and despicable that it’s something no one ever *expects* it to happen, especially from another mother. *Leticia* is the villain here, not the birth mom. He'd talk about how they'd had more money if I didn't get gifts for my birthday (that didn't come out of his bank btw) or eat so many sweets (despite me being chronically ill/constantly losing weight and him often stealing my food). It left me so messed up as an adult. I hid food in my bedroom as a kid. Although I feel I have a healthy relationship with food, I still feel guilty when people talk about how much food costs (ie, my mother telling me the burger brand I eat is like £4-£6 a pack now). The financial trauma I have is unreal. I've seen all of the true crime stories told about it as well as the interrogations and following the whole trial via Live Stream over on the 8MC channel. My family got tired of hearing every little detail. They could see my anger and my heartbreak for that little boy only 2 years older than my own son. I feel so sorry for his little sister, Dad, Mom and for Harley, who truly believed her mother couldn't have done what they were accusing her of.

This case reminds me so much to another one that happened in Spain in 2018. An 8 years old boy was killed by his father's partner and she hid the body. The worst part is that during the investigation the Guardia Civil suspected her and asked the parents for their cooperation so for some days the father had to keep living with her and acting as if he wasn't aware of all the proofs against her, while the mother had to let her "help" in the searches and keep it cordial. The killer was one of the first persons in Spain to get the equivalent of life imprisonment. Later on, it was also discovered that she had a child in her country of origin that died at 5 years old when she fell from a balcony. It was considered an accident at the moment but now authorities in both countries believe otherwise.

My stepmother threatened to kill me reglarly when I was a kid, and one day, she "accidentally" spilled an entire pot of boiling water on me, and then rubbed butter all over the open wound instead of taking me to the hospital. It wasnt an accident. We always served our own plates at supper, that night she decided to walk around our cramped table of 5 in a 7'x7' kitchenette serving peas directly from a pot of boiling water pulled directly from a maxed out stove burner. She literally walks over to me and says, "woops" before she proceeds to dump the entire pot directly on me. This is after several death threats where she says she will kill me in my sleep. My father was also an abusive monster, though. Nobody cared. People only pretend to care. Not a single adult ever did anything about my constant abuse even though everyone knew about it. If you don’t love kids, don’t get into a relationship where you’ll have step kids. “Used and under-appreciated” is just part of the deal sometimes when you have kids, whether they’re your own or someone else’s. If you can’t handle that, stay single. Poor Gannon, I hope you’re at peace. It should have been her honor to be your stepmom. 😢

Exactly! I have stepkids as well as my own kids & I always made sure I was aware of my actions.
I wanted to make sure I was always treating everyone the same because it is very important that children feel loved. Especially in blended families

I've never felt used and under appreciated as a mother, not for a single second now matter how much I gave, and I give it ALL every day. Getting something back in return never enters the equation as a loving mother.
I've been a stepmother, and a mother, and I can tell you, it's not the same, at all. It just isn't. Not for me. As much as you can care for and love someone elses kids, you love your own infinitely more. sorry, it's true. My stepmother told me the same thing when I was an adult, and people need to understand. People don't thank stepmothers enough.
Having said that, that beautiful little angel boy... it hurts my heart. That woman was pure evil.

Hey, I really appreciate the fact that you have taken us all into ur arms & hearts since u married my dad, thanks for the acceptance that it's a package deal. Thanks for laying out my lunch snack with my add medicine...
      ~~Said NO 11 yr. old Ever !!!!
On top of that - no kid should be expected to do that stuff. Kids come into this world & they assume "roles" within the family is whats expected of them, as if they HAVE TO do what they do...
Ask a kid why mommy & daddy love them. Most will answer back: "it's their job".
Kids don't & should not be expected to think the way that monster thought. I kinda wonder why she would even think they should, especially if she was around Kids & supposedly a teacher all this time. It made no sense. She knew nothing of how children should be treated/behave.
And did she really think bath salt drugs & bath salts for shower were the same thing? Seemed like she only knew about celebrity gossip. Wtf¿?

I don’t always relate your the stories you tell, but I was a young boy once that got abused too. My younger sister would wait for my dad to come home and tell him that I would call her some bad words or some shit.. my dad would slam some against the wall everytime and get in my face no questions asked.. and I never did it, and felt helpless. What is wrong with people? His voice recording reminded me of myself.

I lived in Pace, FL when he was found. I remember the day his body was discovered. Everyone was sitting in traffic forever, I was late for work (which never happens because it’s such a small town), nobody knew why though because there wasn’t any car accident or construction, so it was really weird. Absolutely heartbreaking when everyone heard the news about that poor child. There is a small monument on the side of the road near where he was found that is actively maintained.
Little detail, there IS water under the bridge, but the bridge goes over marshy/swamp land so it covers a much wider area than where the various streams and rivers empty out into the bay. She just missed the parts of the bridge that are directly over water. Also it would have washed into Escambia Bay, which ultimately leads to the Gulf of Mexico, not the Atlantic.
Thank you for covering his story, I never knew exactly what happened, just that he was a boy that wasn’t from our community. It was never really covered here in local media.
