I studied Physics at Dalhousie and was a classmate of Taylor Samson. I recognize many of the faces in this video. He was extremely kind and very funny; It was devastating news for everyone in his class. The whole class was trying to find him for days until police broke the news.
I can't imagine having known him and trying to make sense of this, this case affected a lot of Haligonians who had never even met Taylor. I vividly remember when this was just a missing person case - his family was so proactive about searching for him.
I'm so sorry that you all had to go through that. I can't even begin TO imagine what that was like in the experience, or for what you feel when watching this video. I hope that your heart can remain in celebration for who he was as an individual and that it comforts your soul for the loss of him.
@@hi.moriarty I appreciate the thought; But Mike's coverage is very respectful and creates catharsis more than anything. I am sad that it happened but I am glad to see that he will not be forgotten.
Yeh me too…..like they’re gonna need the receipt to return the tarp, bleach, shovel, gas canister, hammer, saw, gloves, knife, rope, gaffa tape, black bags, paper towels etc……I’m stunned it’s not available as a pack/kit and buy one get another kit half price!?!? I do wonder why any of a combination of these items doesn’t raise suspicions? If I were the store manager I’d keep the car registration and the cctv and a physical description of the person/s who bought this combination of stuff, just incase…….can’t be everyday purchases?
Absolutely. Murder in general is itself an unnecessary evil. That begs the question; is evil perhaps not necessary, but an unavoidable aspect of life as we know it given how prevalent it is in our society?
Mike... This happened in my hometown. Taylor's best friend was my best friend's partner at the time. This was a story that absolutely rocked our little city. Just yesterday it was announced William has appealed for the fourth time since being convicted... Thank you for covering this case. I'm emotional watching it but very grateful for your channel to bring light to these cases.
Wait, William's neighbors straight up SAW a bloody dead body inside his apartment and they didn't think to report it to the police? Did they just go about their lives after seeing? I'm legitimately confounded by their actions.
They saw it and left. Then they came back and saw bloody streaks on the floor leading from the table where the bloody body was to the bathroom. They did NOTHING. It may not be illegal to do nothing but it sure is immoral and I wouldn’t want anyone capable of doing nothing after seeing that attending the same school as me, living in the same building as me and definitely not a doctor or any other professional.
I live in Halifax and have been a student at Dal. My friends and family were friends of both of these people. It’s devastating. Sanderson is a piece of shite and just file another appeal! 🤦🏼♀️ Thank you for covering this story. I love this channel.
The only thing I find amazing in this story is how people from Nova Scotia speak English better than people here in America lol... Didn't these people dialect used to sound like they were from Scotland or somewhere??
@@craigfurlong7981 lol I don't think so "lad". Settlers from England here in North America developed a total different dialect tone and cadence in their speech due to geographical area, I find it hilarious that most likely within the last 30 years you people forego your mother tongue and adapted American.
Those neighbour guys were incredibly cowardly for not calling the cops *immediately*! I can’t fathom just letting something so shocking go without trying to get help. And why did this killer feel the need to show them this poor man’s body?! I can’t believe it to a private investigator to dig them up and get them to talk. Thank God he was a P.I. with principles and morals. 😳😢
There needs to be a law made that affects their sentence ... if there is no body found then no parole ... they should never be allowed parole if they keep the family suffering by not being able to lay their loved ones to rest ...
@@jakejacobson2999 he'll probably be out in less than that with time served awaiting trial. But even after 15 years he'll still only be 37. That's young enough to live a full life. If I was Taylor's family I'd be waiting for him to step out of prison.... Wearing a morph suit
This case just came up in the news and I immediately texted a friend to say I wish they could refuse to release or parole him until he tells where the body is. Unfortunately I don't think that's possible bc it would violate prisoners' rights. I recently heard of a case in the UK where the family pushed for this same thing be made into a law and I believe the compromise they landed on was that whether or not the convicted killer revealed the location of the body would be incorporated into parole considerations (ie - you can't deny parole based solely on this but you should take it into consideration to determine if they've really demonstrated remorse regarding their actions) I think that's something Canada would be able to adopt as well.
@@Lynsey17 yes and their time in prison should be affected too .. if they refuse to disclose the location then no extras while in there, diminish their phone visitors tv snacks ... you name it they wont get it ...
If Will Samson's two neighbors had called the police as soon as they saw the dead, or almost-dead, body of Taylor Samson, the family would've had Taylor's body and would not be in agony now, wondering what happened to him, and if they'll ever be able to lay him to rest (in whatever way they choose). Such a shame that those two neighbors opted to not do anything, and now who knows where Taylor is, and the family continues to have that extra layer of pain. Such a dang shame, truly.
I really don't think it's fair to blame anyone for the Sampson family's suffering other than the person who murdered Taylor. The neighbour and his friend who witnessed Taylor only saw him from behind (he was still upright at the table with his back facing the door). There was blood visible so the situation was definitely suspicious at best but they didn't see an obviously dead body - that was only clear in hindsight. Neither of them went into the apartment further than just the doorway. The neighbour later said he didn't tell police bc there were rumours that Sandeson was involved in organized crime and he was scared of him.
I wondered about that too because in some regions it is actually an offense not to report a crime. If anything it certainly shows a degree of negligence on the part of the neighbors.
Hats off to that investigator, staying calm and friendly when he was dished the most ridiculous story ever. 'Like the Blue Man Group?' he asked, like a very helpful shrink.
I think the most heartbreaking cases are the ones where the victim can't be found. You're caught. What do you stand to gain from robbing the family of a proper burial? It's just so evil
Well this time he said where he dumped him it just leads to an ocean so I don't think it was him robbing then of a proper burial. Obviously what he did is wrong and I agree with what you said but I don't think it's the case here.
Mike, I can say this. You’re a humble man. I’ve been watching your channel for going on 4 years and despite your channel being a juggernaut now you still have the same shirts. 😁 How do I know this you ask? Well I’m here for the love of true crime so of course, notice things. One of my crazy ocd habits is being wrinkle, string and lint free… so the collar of this blue shirt and the maroon one like it drive me crazy when you wear them. I just wanna iron it for you 🤣🙆🏻♀️ Thanks for putting so much of yourself into doing this for us, we really appreciate it. I’m willing to come do some chores to help if you’re too busy!! 😅❤️
My niece went to Dalhousie Uni with Taylor it was a devastating time for Taylors family and friends and the whole community. Thankyou for covering this one Mike.
If you claim self defense, is in your best interest to call the authorities right away and explain the whole situation, other than that, is just simply lying to get away with murder.
It makes sense that it doesn’t make sense 😂 these are the same people who try to hide their face from cameras, as if the news isn’t already reporting their full names & showing mugshots
I know Taylor's brother. He was friends with my son. I also met their mother. How shocked and saddened I was when I heard this. Connor and Linda, I send my thoughts and prayers for you. I hope someday they will recover Taylor's remains so you both can have closure.
The idea that someone would go to the cops to get the other person isn't unheard of. In Los Angeles the cops kept snapping the biker's cheap switchblades and just outright stealing the good ones. So a bunch of the bikers went into the local cop shop and complained. And it got policy changed. He could also just snitch anonymously, or might go after the guy.
I was actually a math major in college. I used his videos all the time. This is so haunting. I had no clue! Ty for everything you do Mike, take care of yourself 🤙
Well, she liked, so she put a ring on it. Guess Mr Mike is off the market!! Congratulations on your marriage and wishing you a very happy life together!!❤️💍❤️ Love That Chapter, and the podcast is amazing too!!
Mike, please don’t change……your sense of humour and your ability to rip the perpetrator a new arse are truly a talent I’ve never seen from another RUclipsr. ALSO Please don’t stop telling us how much ya love us cause we love you❤❤
Mike walks a fine line in these videos between dark humor and distasteful nastiness. One of the ways he stays on the right side of the line is, he never, *ever* pokes fun at victims or genuine mourners -- just perpetrators, bumbling law enforcement, and people who display notable stupidity and lack of empathy. With them, he's merciless.
Your style is unique we watch from Adelaide australia the devils lettuce is hilarious as is the life insurance dance which seems a universal theme thanks to
I love that your doing 2 videos a week again! It gives me something to look forward right now. I'm being confined to my bed due to my rheumatoid arthritis and your videos help me take my mind off of the paid that I go through everyday! Thank you so much Mike! I love ya!
I feel ya. Try to move to somewhere warm (and dry) if you can. Just living without winter made a huge difference in my quality of life even though there's still a rainy season it's nothing like wet winters in North Carolina. Cheers from Indonesia. 🌞
Those who lived next door to William should have called the Police ASAP, and because they did not, Taylor's parents were not given the opportunity to hold a funeral service and burial for their much loved son. How heartbreaking! 💔
I couldn't believe that part! Why didn't they call the police? Why weren't they charged with something. Maybe they were scared to get involved but honestly I wouldn't let that slide.
@Jodie Renee “Failure to report a crime, also known as misprision of a felony, IS A CRIME committed when someone is aware that a felony has been committed but fails to disclose it to the authorities. The crime stemmed from English common law, which required citizens to report crimes or face criminal charges.”
I’m from Nova Scotia and definitely surprised to see a video about a local crime. Hearing you speak about places I’m familiar with is definitely different, thank you for the amazing coverage as always
I’m from Halifax! I was attending Dalhousie University when this was happening. There were missing posters everywhere of Taylor Samson, and many rumours were going around that he was murdered by another student. This case definitely shook the campus and the city. Thank you Mike for covering this!
Thank you for being here. I recently lost both my mother and shortly after, my Son died unexpectedly under suspicious circumstances. When this nightmare scenario hits close to home it is impossible to describe or explain to anyone how deeply the grief of loss impacts you, how the agony of not knowing the Truth is devastating. Along with LE failing to actually investigate, despite clear evidence of foul play, my world is shattered, so any distraction from the constant pain is appreciated. Somehow listening to you provides me with some respite and comfort. Thank you again darling. Love, "mom".
I am so sorry for your loss. You are now the honourary mom of all of us here in the comments. I hope you are able to find answers, or at the very least, some peace. ❤
Laura, thank you for the heartfelt response. People should know how very much a few words or a brief call can mean to the families and loved ones experiencing the death of a loved one, suddenly, without warning. Its like being hit by a thunderbolt, followed by lightning that sears into the depths of your Soul, and pulverizes your heart into a thousand pieces. This is something I would never wish upon my worst enemy, though I don't have any in particular. Some things no one should have to endure, but we do, and are able to move forward one tentative step at a time toward healing as we cope with accepting the unacceptable, with the help of kind people like you. People are often afraid to speak to the bereaved. It does take courage and true compassion. God Bless You honey. You are very intuitive and have gifted me with a sense of tranquility, knowing there are people who don't know me, yet care enough to reach out. XxxOoo
My Heart and Love go out to you Mom.💞💞💞 I am so very sorry for your devastating loss. I wrap you tightly up in my arms and hold you close. Wishing you healing, comfort, and peace.
@WRFG Radio Free Goodland: "The Final Countdown" I cannot imagine the pain you are enduring right now. I am so very sorry you're dealing with not one, but two huge losses at the same time, and that law enforcement has dropped the ball. All I can tell you is if you have the strength, keep knocking on doors trying to find someone in the know who will help you deal with LE. Don't give up - if you believe it was foul play, then keep attempting to get LE to help you. I am, again, so very sorry for all that is on your plate right now. May you find peace!
Hey Mike......I just wanted to say thank you for your channel me and my husband watched from the very beginning....we never went to bed mad and we never watched that chapter without each other....those were our rules lol..... Hey you! Thank you as ever Mike for kicking the weekend off with another case handled by you with insight and decency towards victim. (So cruel of a murderer especially when they refuse to disclose the location/s of the body or body parts to enable the family a decent goodbye). And so. Bet I'm not the only one who madly refreshes the notification button at 8 on a Friday! So, hope that amid your hard work through this long weekend you enjoy a few well-deserved pints whether in commiseration or commeration of Coronation, and same to all other Chapterites (? Word?). I hope that appeal does not go ahead. That's enough taxpayer money spent on his ass as it is. I'm so sorry for you and your friends and family and the effect it's had on you all. 💜
Doesn’t it just chap yer hide that they mete out such lenient sentences, routinely, in Canada for such heinous crimes?! It seems like clear cases of murder - especially unprovoked, even premeditated murder - deserve life without parole! Why should these perps EVER be released after what they’ve done?!?! Condolences to all the friends and families who have been impacted by this senseless death. 🙏🏻💞
In a world where nearly every true crime RUclipsr feels the need to have a serious and depressing tone, thank goodness we have Mike who actually stands out from the crowd and is humorous yet respectful.
I think the worst ones are the monotone voiced ones. Coffeehouse Crime is another where the presenter gets in some pretty good jabs at the douche-canoes.
@SEXY SEXY You poor thing. Would you like some attention? You sound so sad and lonely. Perhaps you’ll end up in one of Mike’s videos one day? Though, I doubt you’ll be the victim. 🤨
You were with me Tuesday while I was in hospital, and it's Friday and I'm now home! Thanks for hanging out with me, Mike. Much appreciated lol You seem to be following me.....lmao
After watching a bunch of these, it baffles me why killers keep receipts for cleaning products, new bath mats, axes, hammers, etc. Good thing for us most of them are really dumb.
@@sweettea527 yes, cameras are everywhere. Was anybody else bothered that he what is a med student and he's dealing pills and whatever. I don't care about a little weed. But pills would be unethical and goes against the Hippocratic Oath. Even though they take that old once they're doctors, seems like he would be a shity doctor, no real care for life.
I grew up and went to school with Will. He came from a wonderful family and was always a nice kid growing up. Had lots of friends and played sports. It really shocks me to my core this happened. It’s almost hard to believe he did it.
Sociopaths are all show like his bragworthy future career after studying Kinaesthetics lol. He would not have made it as a doctor despite his performance.
Selling drugs, running up debt, killing a friend, dismembering him, then lying about it. Great characteristics for someone bound by the Hypocratic Oath: "First, do no harm."
I know more than one person who's been to medical school (some also at Dalhousie) and all I can say is that I'm not surprised a future murderer was accepted. Doctors are a strange breed.
I know it may sound somewhat silly, but the ending words take care of yourselves, cause I love you is one of the most comforting things for me and it always makes me feel good. Thank you for that Mike
I agree :) He’s a good guy, when I was a Patreon subscriber he’d actually chat with us if we messaged him. Really good guy, he’s kept his feet on the ground and I truly believe he appreciates all of us :)
I live in Halifax. This case was so shocking!!! Many of us know someone who knows someone who knows the family. I can't imagine what they have gone through. You did a good job getting a lot of facts straight and even gave me info I didn't know!
One thing about living in Canada that is so frustrating and wrong is that no matter how heinous the crime (like murder, child sa etc.), that we grant the chance of parole after 25 years without exception. I've heard someone describe it as a life sentence for the victims and families (as they have to agonize over going to parole hearings with all the stress that brings). Imagine dealing with the potential parole of the monsters who hurt you or your loved ones, every few years for the rest of your life (never knowing for sure if they'll be released on the whim of some stranger). I am all for rehabilitation and release as opposed to simply punitive imprisonment over nonviolent offences in particular, but when it comes to _some_ criminals and crimes I think we push that to the extreme in this country which ends up also punishing the victims instead.
Having a chance at parole doesn't mean they get parole. They can be in prison for life, just applying for parole over and over. Holmolka got away with what she did because at the time she seemed like a victim of domestic violence and the RCMP made a deal with her to testify against her husband Paul Bernardo. It was later when evidence was discovered that proved she was an equal partner in the murders. The deal could not be undone. She's a complete malignant narcissist.
And this is why God gives authority to the State to implement the death penalty. But since the State doesn't submit to His authority, we are stuck with the current stupidity.
Yes, there are people who cannot be rehabilitated so while that should be the aim, it shouldn't just be assumed that in 25 years they won't be a danger to society any more. It's especially true for sexual predators but also psychos like this who are willing to senselessly murder someone in cold blood bc they need money.
Hi TC. Thanks sincerely for covering these difficult cases that we might not get on other channels. This is a really complex one. Take care my friend & see you on the next show & give it a go! Peace, love, Janine Smiley🙂😀😏😇😍❣
Mike you are hilarious! “They are murders but they aren’t thieves for gosh sake “ 🤣🤣 you made me laugh out loud by myself. Also the green morph suit guy was awesome
Thank you so much for talking about this Mike. I know Taylor’s brother, my father knew and worked with Taylor years ago. He was a kind soul who didn’t deserve any of this, and his family didn’t either.
This young man was probably a budding psychopath given his nonchalant behavior after he murdered someone he knew. I'm glad he'll never become a doctor, who knows what he might have done to his patients. Loving the podcasts!
Mike!!!! I live in Halifax & went to Dal. I grew up 20 minutes from Amherst - hearing you talk about my home is wild! Like you know about where I live! Crazy. I’ve followed this case since it happened & am so happy to see you covering it. I’ve been watching you for years - love ya Mike! ❤

@@trollsnotwelcome7805 It *is* more difficult to convict someone if there's no body, but it's not impossible by far (as plenty of videos on this channel show).
Dude, I am so, so tired of these asshole killers mutilating their victims, disposing their work and refusing to snitch on themselves by telling authorities where the body and/or pieces are. These victims have people in their life who need to put their loved one to rest so they, in turn, can work on themselves with the whole grieving process. To grieve and not have any idea where their loved one is is literal lifelong torture. Just say where they are.... Thanks for the story, Mike. Take care of you, my friend.
I agree. However, in this instance the murderer did say though. It's just that the dump site is the Atlantic Ocean so virtually impossible to find. Or he could be lying but to me it seems like the most likely scenario that that's where he is.
It’s the killers plan too never tell … it’s power to them . They can get special treatment get out too look for spot and get fresh air take out food … always squeezing the family too feel that control .
His parents were freaking about the debt and he was worried how it would affect his career as a doctor. So how'd things turn out for ya Little Willie? I'll bet your parents feel much better now, and your career is right on track.
It's honestly terrifying to think that this absolute psycho would've become a doctor. It's so fucked up that he thought it would be a better solution to his money problem to kill someone than to have an honest conversation about it with his family and see how he can get out of it. A bit like all those religious nuts who kill their partner rather than divorce them. Such a heartbreaking case.
I know right! The consequences of debt would have had no effect on his medical career. But what he has now is a lifetime of consequences where he'll have to seriously rethink his life plan. I hope his back-up plan wasn't to be a nurse because he won't be allowed to do that either.
A couple years of being a Dr, if he was good at it, would have paid off that debt and then some. The fact he thought this was a better option tells me he would have been a shite Dr anyway.
Mike, this is coming from a Michael, you are awesome. I proudly support via Patreon. It’s been a real pleasure following your RUclips channel over the past.
As a Canadian, from Ontario, i just wanted to say thank you for covering this, and all of the stories you've covered. I've been following your channel for years now, and I appreciate you! Love ya too 😘
I’m from Amherst and worked with Taylor’s brother and seeing what Sandeson has put his family through is horrible, they have to relive their trauma each time he tries to appeal (which obviously hasn’t been working out for him)
Thank you, old coworker of mine. I'm sorry, I don't remember you, but your photo is a cat. Haha! 🧡 Sadly there is another appeal, kind of annoying but what can you do, eh?
Mike, I’m finally going to comment after months of being a fan and reading other fans kind comments. I appreciate you and your content so much. You make these cases alot more interesting because of all the time you take to research and get to know the victims. Keep doing you! You deserve all the success you have and more!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’ll admit that sometimes I don’t watch the last couple of minutes, but the best part about THIS whole video happens in the very last minute, LOL. TOTALLY worth letting it run till the end. I literally laughed out loud! You crack me up, Mike. I appreciate all your hard work and humor. Love you back!
I'm from Halifax & completely obsessed with this case. Stoked to watch my favourite crime channel cover it !!! I've never been so excited for an upload.
Isn't it weird the things we obsess over sometimes? Hahaha. Just the other day I was like "I'm obsessing over a wood toy..." while trying to build one for my nephew. Hahah all day, thinking about a wood toy.
@@mrdaury5 Also from Truro, born and grew up and never left. Well, except I live part time between here and Dartmouth for a job in the city. Was happy (yet sad) to see Mike covering a local story.
Taylor WAS just selling a little bit of weed to subsidize his tuition - this particular deal was a total outlier, significantly larger than anything he'd done before. If I remember correctly, his girlfriend and/or a couple friends tried to talk him out of it bc they felt the situation was much more dangerous than what he had been doing up to that point (sadly, their concerns were justified). By all accounts, Taylor did it bc of how much tuition it would cover. Also, as Mike mentions, Canada was just a few years away from completely legalizing marijuana. And the culture in Halifax was pretty permissive of weed usage. Dealing it would still land you in serious legal trouble but I can understand how someone would be able to justify it as being safer than it really was bc truly a large percentage of people in that area just didn't see it as a big deal.
I think I finally figured out why you gravitate towards true crime. I mean, when I compare myself to Will Sandeson... I feel so much better about myself. i can still fall in love if I want. I can still go for a walk. i can still hug my cat, even if she may not be ready for it. You know? I mean, we can do all the things that Will Sandeson can't do. Love you Mike, enjoy the evening and your freedom :)
Whenever a body can’t be recovered for the family, it makes the situation even harder in my humble opinion. You can’t even properly lay your loved one to rest where you know they will be. It just seems extremely unfair to me. I think there should be an extreme punishment for people that won’t tell the families where the bodies are or if a body cannot be recovered because of some heinous act that was committed on them the punishment should be harsher.
Mike, you've covered far more brutal cases than this one, but for some reason this one seems so sad to me. He was just trying to get by and work his way through school. It's also unlikely his body will ever be found. Maybe a piece might wash up in the future, thanks to DNA at least that could be identified. You know it's crimes like this that give weed bad connotations. It shouldn't be associated with a murder! It's just a shame 😕 But thanks for sharing Mike. I hadn't heard this one before. Love you too 😘
I agree. Even when we see the cctv footage of Taylor entering Will's house and Will greets him with a friendly smile, it's hard to imagine what he would do afterwards. Now that we know, it seems like a cold-blooded murder for cash.
I agree, it's a good thing he was so stupid and made such dumb mistakes. He talked about Mark twitchell being the Dexter killer. I love Dexter the show and I've read the entire book series, The Books are good. Mark twitchell was a moron, if he had really paid attention during the Dexter show, he would not have been caught. He made stupid mistakes too. I'm not saying you can get away with murder, but some people do.
@@lopiklop so he's exploiting true crime victims yet its caring and warm...? Why are YOU here then? Oh so you can troll... because it definitely can't be that you enjoy true crime too. Cuz that would be adding to the exploitation. Dumb ass.

I do wonder why any of a combination of these items doesn’t raise suspicions? If I were the store manager I’d keep the car registration and the cctv and a physical description of the person/s who bought this combination of stuff, just incase…….can’t be everyday purchases?
@@louise2467 it truly makes no sense lol
Even if they denoed the receipts, the police could still get the records right? Although it would take longer due to asking for the reciepts lol.
@@louise2467I've thought the same thing for years. Your absolutely right.
I hate cases where they can't recover the body. It's like an unnecessary evil the victim's loved ones have to suffer from.
Absolutely. Murder in general is itself an unnecessary evil. That begs the question; is evil perhaps not necessary, but an unavoidable aspect of life as we know it given how prevalent it is in our society?
I believe the murderers wont tell because they need that last bit of control. 🤔🤬🤯🤷♀️
@brandyrichard6001 in the worst case scenario they don't even care... Still, my prayers go to the victims, family and friends... ❤
@@J_Klutch Is evil unavoidable because it is prevalent? Well obviously. What a peculiar question.

They would be weed customers and he would have spun a story about that kill trying to steal weed. Those two are as transparent as clingwrap.

I was thinking this the whole time tf
There needs to be a law made that affects their sentence ... if there is no body found then no parole ... they should never be allowed parole if they keep the family suffering by not being able to lay their loved ones to rest ...
Makes me sick he’s eligible for parole in 15 years!
Excellent suggestion.
These are DRUG DEALERS. I give they no sympathy, they got what they deserved.
NO excuses if, as in the US, one can call and report a disturbance&/or crime, by law, _anonymously._
I wondered about that too because in some regions it is actually an offense not to report a crime. If anything it certainly shows a degree of negligence on the part of the neighbors.
@@poempadgett4664 I dare say that Sandeson probably would have pretty easily piecef together who called the police ...
It happens so so so much in Nova Scotia..
It's about power.
Well this time he said where he dumped him it just leads to an ocean so I don't think it was him robbing then of a proper burial. Obviously what he did is wrong and I agree with what you said but I don't think it's the case here.
Cowards. Only real men own up and take responsibility for what they have done. The others are just overgrown children.
I HATE how this drug dealer was given sympathy. If he was in prison, this wouldn’t have ever happened..
The world dodged a bullet not having this murderer practicing medicine.

I am all for rehabilitation and release as opposed to simply punitive imprisonment over nonviolent offences in particular, but when it comes to _some_ criminals and crimes I think we push that to the extreme in this country which ends up also punishing the victims instead.
yes the laws here are too light at some instances... I totally agree. Like Karla Homolka's case, justice wasn't served.
Yes that's the problem we have in Australia, it's one thing I agree with in the US life is life ,
And this is why God gives authority to the State to implement the death penalty.
The best to you Mike and all listeners especially daughter in Larwencetown Nova Scotia! 🇨🇦

A self centred sociopath like that should rot in jail. I bet he was thinking he'd be a rich doctor like other ones who don't give a sh.t about people.

Good afternoon Mike, thank you so much for your great work ethic. Hope everyone has a safe and great weekend.
Mike, I’m finally going to comment after months of being a fan and reading other fans kind comments. I appreciate you and your content so much. You make these cases alot more interesting because of all the time you take to research and get to know the victims. Keep doing you! You deserve all the success you have and more!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
"They supported each other Tru Tick and Tin" Ha Ha.
I'm glad you post on a Friday now. I have my kids on Friday. I put them to bed at 11pm and then have an hour to myself. 😊😊🥳
Love you back!
you can tell he was getting in a hyper mood coming on the end talking about that chris guy 😄😄😄 love you mike ❤
I'm from Halifax & completely obsessed with this case. Stoked to watch my favourite crime channel cover it !!! I've never been so excited for an upload.
Same here lol I’m just in Truro so I was super pumped to see this on his channel!
Isn't it weird the things we obsess over sometimes? Hahaha. Just the other day I was like "I'm obsessing over a wood toy..." while trying to build one for my nephew. Hahah all day, thinking about a wood toy.
Mike from ThatChapter is the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful human being I've ever known in my life.
@@mrdaury5 Also from Truro, born and grew up and never left. Well, except I live part time between here and Dartmouth for a job in the city. Was happy (yet sad) to see Mike covering a local story.
Love how mike's like "just selling a little weed to pay tuition, no biggie!" When the kid literally had a massive duffel bag full of weed lol!
Tuition is expensive
Absolute small fry compared to many
Its just weed tho. 40k is what one semester lol
Dealing it would still land you in serious legal trouble but I can understand how someone would be able to justify it as being safer than it really was bc truly a large percentage of people in that area just didn't see it as a big deal.
... and $40,000! Those aren't grams we're talking about!
My sincere condolences to Taylor's family and friends. This was terrible. 😪💔🙏. And as always great story, Mike.
Withdraw any chance of parole if they don't say where the victim is
I agree, that is sad. But WHY didn’t the police arrest Taylor? This whole thing could have been avoided if he was behind bars.
@@simoncullum5019 We already often take the death penalty off the table if people tell where the body is. Sometimes they do, and sometimes they don't.
Totally agree. Tragic. Extra long punishment, years in jail. Suffer like the victims have.
That is an advantage to the death penalty sentence, it can be leveraged to get a confession of where the body is. Canada has abolished it though.
Thanks for such a respectful take on a sad sad case and a crappy justice system.
It's just a shame 😕
But thanks for sharing Mike.
I don't think the whole story will ever be known. Killing someone for 20 pounds of middling grade marijuana just doesn't add up.
@@ritawashere5787Oh my goodness! I never knew there were books!!!
It’s so ridiculous to kill over weed. I wonder if he was in debt to someone else and was desperate for the money.
Thank you Mike for all the hard work you do for us! Much love and appreciation from Anchorage, Alaska!❤
I do love these but he's doing it for the money not for us.
@@simplelife6575
We're his consumers, so he's doing it for us too!
Mike from ThatChapter is the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful human being I've ever known in my life.
@@lopiklop Facts!
@@lopiklop so he's exploiting true crime victims yet its caring and warm...? Why are YOU here then? Oh so you can troll... because it definitely can't be that you enjoy true crime too. Cuz that would be adding to the exploitation. Dumb ass.
" true, tick 'n tin...if you can believe dat!" 😂❤ Much Love, Mike!!
Im so stoked to see +2 Mill ppl are privileged to hear your unique narration of theae gnarly, & dark true events all while maintaining an immense amount of respect for the victim & their families.🙏💯💪🔥😺❤️💕
Mike you are a tonic. I've had eight horrible weeks, a health problem, and your videos make me forget my troubles. I know two a week is difficult but you are so much appreciated. This case is another one where a 'little bit of weed' leads to a lot of trouble. Poor guy though, he doesn't look like a bad person.
Awe, Mike makes me smile... This is the first time I've heard him say "through thick & thin" but as "trough tick & tin." 😂 It's such a cute accent. And did I hear him say @ 4:05 that Canada is a State? As in "weed was on it's way to being legal in the great state of Canada?" 🤣
Thank you for covering this story! I’m from Taylor’s hometown, and this is something still talked about around here! Taylor was such a caring sweet soul!
Hooray a new video; thanks Mike! You're the best story teller on the internet. Luv ya in Ontario 🇨🇦
Happy Friday! Great way to kick off the weekend with a new That Chapter video!
Have a great weekend Jaime!
No body, no release.
I live in Halifax!! Thank you for covering this story!!!
I’ve watched so many of his videos to understand wth is going on in my calc classes. He had a really nice way of explaining things and a very promising young man 😞
Screw that guy !!! I love how you say what you truly mean . No sugar coating or pretending to give one CRAP about the low lifes that you cover . You tell it like it is without any pretentiousness whatsoever & its because of that attitude (along with your incredibly kooky sense of humor , your wit and charm) that you are by far one of my top 3 favorite RUclips true crime channels . Please just keep doing what you do cause I love ya !!! 😁❤🐈🐈
Such a sad sad case, especially for his loved ones to have no body. Mike I love the way you make fun of the murderers, always makes me chuckle 🤭
Wow Mike! 8 mins in and already 100s of comments - just fantastic!! So proud of you & this channel and glad to be part of the community. Mike - just an idea, wld love to see a travel/stories series with you or even travel/crime series - we would ALL love that I am sure!
How about NO 😂
YESSS! FINALLY SOMEONE COVERS THIS CASE!!! This happened at my school, its still wild!
So happy you're back to 2 videos a week!!!!! The podcast is great too but nothing like new stories told by you on camera! Literally my favorite thing to watch, thanks so much Mike!!🙏
Mike, you always have such a way of covering the worst cases, but in a good way. Thank you so much for what you do! I love ya!❤
Lmaooo it’s the “who gives a shit how you pronounce his name . Screw him “ I love Mike 😭
I am loving all these recent it’s always sunny references! Love your videos Mike. You’re defs my favorite true crime youtuber :)
Mike, you are one of my favorite true crime story tellers. Thank you for puting your heart and soul into these cases. Weove you for it! Thanks Mike!
I always say to my daughter, don't do wrong things, it will catch up you! Don't team up with people that do wrong and illegal things neither. Because even if they are naive and not experienced like you, some of them will team up with a real dangerous criminals.
Happy Cinco De Mayo Mike! Saving this episode for later today when I make some messy Tex-mex food and have a cold beer. Cheers
Nice! Enjoy! 😊🇮🇪
So happy you're finally getting the recognition you have deserved since the beginning with your tin foil hats! Love ya Mike
I miss all the hats!
Yup! I am also from the freshman “Foil hat “ class. You’ve come a long way Boy’oh!
