how incredibly sad... the poor woman loses her parents and gets no support from her husband only to have him cheat on her with the woman who will murder her. rest in peace heather. you deserved better.
After 1983 she was free to leave. 1983 was when we were afforded full equal rights in the USA,, same as men. I feel bad for those who cannot help themselves, not women with no self esteem who are afraid of discomfort.
So the poor womans parents both died She was grief stricken and depressed *HER* husband was having an affair But she was the one bullied and harassed and eventually murdered being absolutely innocent and having no knowledge of what was going on ... Poor Heather.
The nerve of that woman to say to Heather, right before murdering her, “You ruined my life.” GIRL YOU WERE THE ONE SCREWING HER HUSBAND! You had a BABY with HER HUSBAND! YOU TATTOOED HIS NAME ON YOUR BODY! Aside from the text messages, how is she even gonna try and say she didn’t do all of it and murder Heather? That woman is a monster. And the added audacity to lie and say she had a sexual relationship with her best friend because she wouldn’t lie for her. Disgusting people; poor Heather and her daughter Victoria, may they both rest together.
She's a subhuman of the lowest category. I hope she gets her just deserts in prison but my heart always goes out to the children of the people involved. The nincompoop of a husband and his wench were better suited for each other. Heather seemed too beautiful and decent to be with someone like that!
The cop who took the gun from the perpetrator's car was an accessory after the fact, a charge that would send an ordinary citizen to prison for at least five years. His charges get dropped and he gets to retire with a full pension. There is more than one tier of "justice" in our country.
Moral of the story: guys, if you are ever tempted to do the boogaloo with someone other than your wife, either end the marriage first, or otherwise keep big boy in his cage. Cheating never ends well for anybody, most of all it seems for those who least deserve the consequences. RIP Heather and Victoria, I hope that they are reunited and blissfully happy wherever they are.
And for anyone who is curious, Victoria died in a car accident in which she was driving and she lost control of the car, slamming into a tree. She was 17 yrs old.
Now that is truly sad, the only silver lining is that her mom was waiting for her, when Victoria passed. Thank you for sharing that info, I followed this case , was unaware of Victoria's passing. With Love from Washington State 💚🌲
I don’t know why but the thing that struck me as saddest is Victoria. Her mom was killed by her dad’s mistress, and then she ends up dying in a car crash. What a short and tumultuous life she had.
It actually angers me that Michelle knew Shauna was going to murder Heather, and chose to do nothing. I really hate cases like this where someone clearly knows someone is going to die, and they choose to say nothing, they choose not to save that persons life, they choose silence, and that is just utterly despicable.
Sure shows what kind of person she is. They were two peas in a pod. I can't imagine knowing someone is going to be murdered and doing nothing to stop it.
Michelle joined Shawna in taunting and harassing Heather on multiple occasions before the murder. She helped Shawna plan the murder. Michelle was a mean, nasty person who deserved far more jail time than she got.
I can’t help but believe that Shawna really was in a relationship with Michelle. I know she lied about so much, but I can’t even imagine having that kind of loyalty to someone who was just your friend.
People in the comments are saying "Ignacio will feel guilt" & "Ignacio will be haunted for the rest of his life." I doubt it. He strikes me as a narcissist. He doesn't hold himself responsible AT ALL. He's probably more flattered than anything & I'm sure he moved on almost immediately & never looked back. Sad but true..
There's everyone's favorite buzzword again! NARCISSIST! Yes. Everyone is a narcissist. Even tho most of you who use the word don't actually know what one is.
Mike, thank you for telling this story--which I'd recommended. I bank at the CU of CO and knew Heather; she was smart, kind, and competent in her job. She kept her daughter Victoria's drawings on her office wall. I was stunned when I learned of her murder. May Heather and Victoria rest In peace.
May they rest in peace. This is really sad. I hope the husband is taking great care of Ignacio's son. Thank you for sharing this with us and trusting Mike to tell it.
Mike, you have without a doubt made your mark on crime channels on RUclips. If somebody asks in threads what the best crime channels are, you’re ALWAYS mentioned! Keep em coming!
The husband is also to blame because he could have prevented all of this had he not been such a coward and been honest. We have no idea what he was telling Shawna when no one was around. While Shawna is to blame for her cold and menacing act, some of the blame (a lot) lies with Ignacio. Poor Heather, she deserved a life much better than this! My heart breaks for her!!
Heather went through so much. Lost her dad, her mom, lost her husband to a vicious and vile woman, as she lost interest in life, lost her faith in mankind finding her husband had a love child with another woman. Then lost her life. She was lucky enough not to bear witness her own daughter's death I guess. I can only imagine how her years must have been. And how much her own husband failed her. I have no words for that crazy stupid woman who killed Heather. How can someone do this to someone.
@@morganpettipas9198 …because she was described that way! She was (understandably) incredibly depressed & called, “a shadow of herself”. Her reactions to so much incredible trauma was ‘normal’ & to be predicted.
@@suzimonkey345 sadly she might of been depressed if she didn’t piece together what her husband was doing…the other woman was practically in her face. Maybe and I’m assuming here, she was too depressed to really see what was going on. She did get back with her husband and described as just not herself
Depression makes you a shadow of yourself, but being gaslighted also does. You can't pinpoint the reason you feel reality is so off. I'm sure she thought she could trust her husband, but he probably used her mental illness against her to keep his lies going.
Shawna, as a police dispatcher, had to have some knowledge of how a murder investigation works. How incredibly stupid to think she could pull this off. Rest in peace Heather 🙏
I just retired from almost 16 yrs of law enforcement dispatching and no...we have not many clues inside the investigation process...we work in windowless radio facilities and the officer/deputies only show up once in a blue moon because they keep us as separate as they possibly can..some dispatchers (mainly women) hang out with the officers/deputies but talking about work is the last thing they do... Also Shawna being married to a cop doesn't mean anything either as they are reluctant to talk about work when they get home...they are mostly coming home to get drunk or bang or both then work another job for extra pay..and sometimes when they're on their beat they have several side clicks so they really don't talk about work
Again, I wish there was a live onscreen toxicology report for all characters onscreen. Tweedle D and Tweedle double D must have been coked out of their minds right? Is this cocaine? Alcohol and speed? Xanax, Ritalin and ambien? I LOVE THIS CHANNEL. but, having lived with cops (sooooooo many times, idk why) almost all cases involve drugs. So all these stories and channels like this: they all leave out some very important things that we could all, that so many people need to learn from
@@Novakane78 that might be your center but my center is complete opposite. Disapatchers and officers are pretty close, obviously some don't socialize much but majority do. And we definitely don't have a windowless radio room. We have one wall of just windows with a balcony that we go out on regularly.
I know about this case years ago. It still makes me mad to this day hearing about this again. The gall of the mistress to abuse Heather and even flaunted the affair FFS. I also blame the douche bag husband of Heather. He and his mistress deserved each other and if anyone had to be murdered, you can choose from any of the two. Heather was innocent in all of this and she was murdered in such a horrible and senseless way.
@@moni2624 and it seems like she was going to try and pin the murder on him..driving his truck, wearing his clothes, planting evidence by throwing his shoes out of the window, using his gun, altering her voice to sound like a man...I guess that she thought having him locked up for murder and Heather dead it would clear the way for her to get back together with Ig.
@@virginiaviola5097 - And STILL her husband arrived where she was stopped, knew what she did, seen how she was dressed, and still helped her get the gun out of her possession.
The murder was senseless and I’m sure very scary for Heather in that brief moment, but as far as murders go, I wouldn’t call this one terribly “horrible” like the OP said. Mike told us that Heather died right away - before she even hit the pavement, and there wasn’t any torture involved etc.. If I was going to be murdered, I would definitely take this way to go out (with simply being shot a couple of times and dying immediately) over some of the extremely fucked up and absolutely horrendous murders we have seen on this channel in the past. At least there was no drawn out suffering in Heather’s death. RIP to her though.
The audacity she has to say to heather “you ruined my life” when SHE was the one who ruined heather’s by having an affair with her husband. Nobody asked Shawna to cheat on her own husband Lmao, she is the absolute farthest thing from a victim in this situation- even without accounting for the murder.
In her interview, the "surprised" Shawna, sounds so much like Stephanie Lazarus. A true sociopath! Ignacio was so "shocked" that she tattooed his name on her body. He wasn't as shocked when he impregnated her and lied to her and to his poor wife. BUT WHY THE UNDERWEAR? Mike, hilarious as always. Love you! Take care of yourself!
And sadly his wife , then eventually his beautiful daughter, were both taken from him. When will ppl learn to break up with , separate themselves before getting one on the side , it hurts not just the partner , the family , the checkbook, it really hurts when your extra piece on the side is a physco!
I thought the exact same thing! The feigned attempt at spluttering over her words, it was so reminiscent of the Stephanie Lazarus interrogation. Chilling!
@@trailrunner925 Shawna is disgusting and her personality is worse. Yeah, I don't understand that one. I think some people just cheat regardless of who it's with
There's something about watching Shawna just flatly lie in court over and over that really gets under my skin. Not only is she twisted enough to do what she did, but she clearly believes she was in the right. Also imagine being her husband and ruining your life and career to help your wife murder another woman because she married the man your wife is in love with.
Reminds me of another recent court case involving a narcissistic compulsive liar... although that situation didn't end in murder I have no doubt it very well could have because she approached the subject with her freeloading friends 😔
Absolutly loving your style of story telling ! I'm romanian and I live close to the Ukraine border and this video came as a "normal thing" that I needed after seeing just tears and dispear all around me. Thank you!
Honestly, but even if there's 400 red flags the cops can't intervene until they actually murder someone haha. I remember all the complaints and warnings they got here in town about Elliot Rodgers, luckily I was a few blocks away that night. Honestly though, kneeling down to be executed like that I'd rather maybe get shot somewhere else while I tried disarming them instead of just accepting a headshot :/
Genuinely angers me that Michelle knew and chose to say nothing, she knew Michelle was 100% going to murder Heather, and chose to only say something _after_ an innocent woman lost her life.
This case is even more sad because apparently after heather died, the dad moved to Florida with their daughter, Victoria Gaurrus. She died in a car accident before her 18th birthday. Maybe had he of kept his penis in his pants, not moved to Florida, his wife and his daughter would be here today. So frustrating but he probably lives with this every single day! Edit: hadn’t made it to the end and mike mentioned this bit!
5:03 about the losses she endured tugged at at my heart on a personal level as I can relate 100% to her emotional state though she had 1 person in her life (I'm currently grieving with NO support); her husband, & that instead of been supportive, he "resented" her feelings of grieving. I'm sorry for her losses & her passing. 🕯
I love this channel! I worked with Shawna Nelson as a dispatcher for Weld County and I was even a friend of hers outside of work for awhile (I had NO CLUE she was batshit crazy until this happened) I was questioned by detectives back in 2006 after this murder occurred and thankfully never had to testify as I hadn’t spoken to Shawna for over a year prior to this horrendous act. That Chapter retold this incident SPOT ON, all the way down to Shawna’s husband Ken saying verbatim that he and Shawna could get back together and he would raise Ig’s baby as his own. This happened so many years ago and it’s still hard for me to wrap my head around. Heather was innocent In this whole thing and did nothing but love her husband, she never deserved any of this!
Watching Mikes character from 2-3 years ago compared to today is fantastic. Amazing to be able to watch someone evolve and create such brilliant content. Keep them coming Mike!
Right? He's hardly recognizable in the older videos. I wonder if he originally thought it would be disrespectful to be witty when telling murder stories. His humor makes these stories SO much better.
@@VioletJoy I think it’s probably because the Internet can be so sensitive…. You never really know how people are gonna perceive you, so I would imagine it’s terrifying.

Have been married to a law enforcement officer for 36ys (now retired) and I'm a retired corrections officer and I can tell you sheriff's and police department's are quite the hotbed for affairs!! Someone really should do a detailed behavioural study on the why's, I'm sure it would be fascinating!!
With all due respect, the stereotype goes that usually those that decide to become police officers are people that feel the need to exert power over others, which they might’ve not had before. Or were bullies before themselves. Obviously not all, but I’d ignorantly say that it could very well be this insecurity that leads to the “need” to have an affair. Those who cheat are insecure, selfish, and need some shallow satisfaction. I do not wish to think this way about the majority of our police force, but if you’re even saying cheating runs rampant in these fields, I’d assume it’s a fault in basic human decency and morality.
It's the same with teachers and school personnel - same again with politics - there are many professions that seem to fuel inter-relationships. It's often because the people involved naturally understand the pressure of the job role/profession, the hours, the ins and outs, the intrigue, all the admin/paperwork and the pay issues, all of the professional development and travel opportunities etc. It's because all this is understood "without being said" and therefore you automatically have a sense of kinship and trust. This can then progress quickly beyond friendship into some kind of sexual relationship. Often it is honest - and people get married to those in the same or similar profession. Sometimes it is affairs and other types of inappropriate relationships (e.g. positions of power and trust).
This reminds me of the Stephanie Lazarus case, the female cop who killed her ex-lover's wife. Particularly the interview, with both women somehow having far worse acting skills than people with NO law enforcement background. Both of them thought they could be convincing with the whole "Oh I understand, you have to do your job" thing, to their coworker interviewing them, but from there just utterly FAILED at acting confused and shocked that anyone could think they did it. I don't think Lazarus tried the 'poor helpless little woman' thing with sobbing like this chick (she was more of a tomboy so she went more 'amused at the ridiculousness of all this' route that a dude would go). But both times, I'm watching and thinking, even with zero background information I would know this person is lying.
Oh yeah, that interview was crazy to say the least. Acting like she can't remember pertinent details while recalling the most mundane bull crap with impeccable accuracy
@@itsmealanaa Of course it matters. If an interview makes it clear to police that a suspect did it, that wouldn't be enough to convict them but it would be enough to stop wasting resources on other leads and focus it all on getting evidence on this one. Mind you I"m talking only if they KNOW from the interview, and sure they have gotten it wrong before.
Yeah, it matters what you know. Police can bluff to try to get a confession, but if they guess wrong they ruin all their credibility and probably prompt the witness to get an attorney if they sense they're being tricked or lied to.
Wow, if you look up Victoria Shea Garraus' obituary, she looked EXACTLY like her late mother! Oh, and she was buried with her mother. So very sad how they both died. Her dad must feel guilty for bringing that nutcase into their lives.
So, is nobody going to bring up the fact that Ken removed the murder weapon from the car in order to try and protect Shawna, and not only did any charges brought against him get thrown out, but he actually got to retire from the police force?
_AND_ he dumbly did that when she was wearing all of his clothes to try to frame him for the murder, so that he would get arrested and she would get all of his assets and be free to get back together with Ignacio. What a pathetic simp!
Idk if he was a dirty cop, but certainly an idiotic one. He's doing all that risky business for her while she's in the middle actively trying to frame him. This must be some kind of record.. the cuck heard 'round the world
That totally reminded me of Stephanie Lazarus, a Los Angeles police officer, who killed her ex boyfriend’s wife Sherri Rasmussen! Right down to the interrogation, where they both acted like they had no clue.
Wow, Ken removing the murder weapon from Shauna's car, then being allowed to retire from the PD. Just wow. Should've been brought up on charges and been imprisoned. Cops are held to a higher standard of conduct, and he goes and does this. Just wow.
The only good thing is that, if one believes in an afterlife, they can believe that Heather, her daughter, and her parents have all been reunited on the other side.
@@kingayy9267 How about when Ig dies? Does his daughter take time out to go reunite with him as well? Does heaven have shared custody arrangements? So many questions :)
I tend to breeze through the week without paying attention to what day it is. Then Mike uploads and I'm pleasantly surprised, like right now "Oh yea, it's TUESDAY!" Thank you for the great content!!!
When the detective said witnesses placed her at the scene we got her most honest response with “How?!” She couldn’t believe they could see through her costume but it was more that everyone saw through her and her insane, stupid jealousy.
"I didn't murder my lover's wife, even though her husband was the father of my baby. You see, I was actually having TWO affairs, and I totally wanted to end them both and get back with my husband (when I have another man's name tattooed on my ankle.) My second lover is just angry that I spurned her, and the real killer is probably the husband who I was getting back with and who had no reason to hate Heather." Behold, a defense so boldly stupid it's almost brilliant.
Poor Heather was grieving and depressed and her husband did nothing to help her, apparently. I get it, after Heather started to distance herself due to her depression, I'm sure it wasn't exactly easy on him either, but there's no excuse for cheating. If he didn't want to be with her anymore, then he should have just left her. It's sad that Heather ultimately ended up dying because her husband couldn't keep it in his pants. Instead of being a strong foundation for her in her time of need, he ultimately only thought of himself and his desires.
We don’t know whether or not Ignacio had been there for Heather and was a good husband for a long time after she began suffering her losses/developed mental illness. We don’t know how long Heather had been withdrawn for. Perhaps Ignacio was just really lonely/starved for emotional & physical affection because Heather was inconsolable and not getting better over time - and perhaps he didn’t tell her/leave her when he wanted to have that affair because he feared that she was so depressed/unstable that she might be suicidal if she were to suffer yet another heartbreak/big loss. She might have already been suicidal for all we know (it’s quite common amongst chronically depressed people). Point is, we shouldn’t make assumptions.
@@jamierupert7563 It’s so easy to judge people and situations you don’t know, isn’t it? I wonder how you would feel if people scrutinized your life and poor decisions (even though in this case, it might not have been a poor decision, because he deserved to live too, and if she was so detached from him for many years and was also suicidal, then him cheating might have been the only solution at the time to still continue living his life where it isn’t empty af for him too - people need love and affection in their lives - but doing it in a way where he didn’t risk his wife ending her life…. I bet the bank that there wasn’t a thought in his mind that Shawna would have been capable of doing what she did when he decided to cheat with her). I will say though that it was absolutely idiotic for him to not use protection with her… And he not only did it at least once the first time she got pregnant, but at least a second time as well. That was just absolutely _DUMB,_ and I cannot think of one reasonable excuse for that - it was just him just being in the heat of the moment and wanting it to feel as good as possible. No way around that! Anyways, I’m sure everything you do is totally moral and inexcusable no matter the circumstances, right? I am an atheist, but there is something to the Biblical line of “let he who is sinless cast the first stone…” (or something really close to that; you get the idea). No matter what he did, he was not responsible for the murder of his wife, and people like you who are insinuating that he was are fucked up. Shit in life is messy, and not always as black-and-white as people like you seem to believe. Nobody - _NOBODY_ - is perfect. And there is not always an easy solution to a huge problem. If she was suicidal, then this might have been the only solution for him to still continue living his life without getting extremely depressed himself, but still protecting her with compassion for keeping it a secret and not leaving her until she became emotionally stable enough to handle him leaving her. I have been cheated on before when I was in such a depressed despondent state for a long time that I can understand why they cheated on me and kept it a secret. It’s hard to blame when I was very checked out of participating in the relationship for so long because of my emotional state. It was a small mercy that they didn’t pour salt in the wound at that time by leaving me then (because I would _NOT_ have been able to handle that then), but they deserved to live too, and have a connection with someone else when I was utterly incapable of providing that for them for much too long.
I literally laughed out loud multiple times during this very sad story...while the thoroughness in details is awesome..the side comments and facial expressions are why I watch :)
Cheating is never the answer. And, if you truly feel that someone is the love of your life, you shouldn't have to trap them with threats and ultimatums. Either it's mutual or it's not. If not, then for your own sanity, just let them go. And if you or the other person are already in a relationship, then get out of it before pursuing yet another relationship. It ALWAYS ends badly! I've been married for over 20 years, and I can't imagine ever cheating. Like the OP said, the grass is greenest wherever it's being watered, so take care of the relationship you have. We all have flaws, and you can't expect a new relationship to be flawless, so nurture what you do have, or expect the same amount of problems with whatever new flame you decide to pick up. *End soapbox speech*
I just don't understand when someone is sleeping with someone else's husband and for some reason they think somehow that'll turn into a relationship. Even if he left his wife and stayed with her, usually when a relationship starts with cheating, it ends with cheating. Because if someone cheats to be with you, what is going to stop them from cheating on you with someone else?
@@EricHamm well I had at 2 female friends when we were in our 20s who were both gorgeous, smart, had their life together except they were both dating married men. I tried to talk them out of it but they were in love. Needless to say it didn't work out.
Shauna seems like a woman who has been able to manipulate men all her life. Even in the interview room...reaching for the hand of the detective and then asking for a hug before being cuffed. She was soo shocked when her manipulations no longer worked on Ignacio that she completely unravelled...and as usual the innocent people suffered the worst.
Doesn’t surprise me. She was attractive when she was younger but as she aged she lost what made men interested in her and the only thing she had going for her was lost. She made a move on Heather’s husband because her own husband didn’t excite her anymore, and when he finally had enough of her too it sent her into a spiral. She went from a small town 10 to a 4 in the dark and her value was gone.
@@hansolo631 Unfortunately there is no logic to most homicides like this. Also, that detective would have gotten read and removed from the case if he hugged a suspect during an interview in my department guaranteed. I don't care who she is.

Almost feel as though she was trying to frame her husband for Heather's murder. Wearing all of his clothing down to underwear, deepening her voice, using his vehicle. If blood splatter soaked through the clothes it'd be on his clothes and underwear. Unless he had a solid alibi that would be some damning evidence. She clearly didn't like him and probably only went back with him to make Ignacio jealous. If Heather was dead and Shawna's husband was in jail for the murder Ignacio would be alone. Shawna probably made herself believe he'd come running back into her arms. She was sloppy with everything because she was cocky. She probably heard lots of crime cases over the years from her position in law enforcement and marriage. Really have the feeling she took steps to set up her husband.
I’ve absolutely no doubt that was her intention, that way she could disgrace her husband and get rid of him, and have a fairytale romance with Ig. She was living in some coocoo land for sure
yesss I believe the same thing. she wanted to get rid of heather AND her own husband so that in her delusional/psycho mind her and Ignacio could be together with no one coming between them.
Only problem (besides the fact that the husband might have an alibi) is that husband would not have a motive. If he had wanted to kill anyone, it would have been the his wife's lover or his wife. Why would he kill Heather?
This has some Stephanie Lazarus vibes to it including the interrogation video with the repeated "I don't know" The psychotic possessive madness of some people is still truly shocking.
It is truly scary. She was deluded and every time Detctive Garraus led her on she got more and more deluded, so it ended in murder. Sad, very very sad for Heather and her daughter

God bless and be with you as you go through this horrible time in your life. May He give you peace and comfort through this, He can heal you, just call out His name, Amen💙🙏💙
Poor, beautiful angel. Heather seemed so bright and it hurts to know that she had to suffer so much even prior to her death, and then had to die in fear. Rest well darling ❤️
He needs to accept the blame, he was the whole cause of his wife’s death. Yes his lover pulled the trigger but he never should of stepped out of the marriage and this would of never happened.
I find it fascinating that whenever someone cheats & then ends the relationship the innocent party (Heather in this instance) always gets blamed & all too often attacked & killed. Why do the jilted lovers hardly ever go after the one that jilted them? Love triangles never work out well, rather leave your spouse than cheat is what I believe. Anyway another fantastic case delivered in true Mike fashion. Thank you as always and take care.
It boggles my mind that the single party is always blamed for a man's deceitful ways. It is infuriating that people insinuate that because she involved with a married man. Such a comments "wel she was involved with a married, but cheating is not a reason to be murdered" And the one's that make such a comment are women. All of them taking it personal as if their married lives are in constant state of demise. Why these men are free of accountability? As if they were hypnotized by these jezebels
not even actual marriage works out well most of the time, so why waste time instead have fun with two womams, maybe move to asia and have THREE! maybe four, or six!
Ugh…Shawna calling *anyone* a hag, especially Heather - who was much more attractive (poor woman should have dumped that creep “husband”) - is so pathetic. Look in the mirror girl. Ugly through and through…also threw her best friend under the bus…of course. Shawna was such a loyal person >eye roll< Also, it was tragic to learn of the poor daughter’s fate!
I know right, Shauna is hideous, Heather was stunning! And Ignacio was as plain and ordinary as can be. If only Heather hadn't been so lovely and forgiving, she might've left him and saved her own sweet life, and maybe that would have saved Victoria too. This is the damage that adultery / homewreckers cause; a ripple effect of misery.
With love I pray that Heather and Victoria are together in a beautiful place where no harm will ever befall them, that they have in heaven the life that they deserved to have had on earth.
You are the absolute best when it comes to telling true crime stories, and other stories (i.e. The Captain, etc). I've been watching for almost "tree" years. I love your channel. Thanks for all your hard work on producing, writing, and researching these stories. Keep up the great work.
She wanted her husbands blamed and jailed for the crime, he'd be gone along with Heather, leaving her available to comfort Ignasious during his terrible loss. Purrrfect she thought.
Mike does it again in his own inimitable way! It's tragic that Heather had to die because Ignatio has to get his jollies instead of supporting his wife through the painful loss of two parents in such a brief space of time. If Shauna had to shoot someone it's a pity it wasn't him instead of Heather. Or better still herself.
I'm always so glad to find one of your videos that I haven't seen. The way you narrate it keeps us from getting so depressed at this world. I hope you have a wonderful life
5:10 THIS. Hit home. I have literally experienced the same, in reverse order. Hi my name is Glenn, and over a period of 2 years, my life changed drastically. 8 months after moving to a new town with my girlfriend of 5 years, she broke up with me. My mom passed away the following september from cancer, and my dad this last october from a heart attack. To say everything affected me greatly is an understatement. It took me a year to remove my mom from my contact list, and when I did it really fucked me up. I am definitely not the same person I was 2 years ago. Dont take family for granted, tell your family you love them. Also, thank you Mike for providing such quality content. You are a gem, and have helped me put up with my life over the past year.
I am sorry what you are going through. A broken heart it is already traumatizing enough to fall in a deep depression. Add all your family loss it is devastating.. I suffered PTSD for 3 years straight. I felt I was outside my body. Everything sounded as if I was in a tunnel. I was completely unable to feel grounded. I avoided people when a deep depression took over. I couldn't get out of bed for 7 months. My body felt so heavy as I was made of lead. The only place I went to was to buy food for my dogs. Even when in public I couldn't hold my tears falling of my face. I was married for 14 years+ they were very unhappy. The good moments were scarce, until there were none. He went to work and called me from work to informed me he didn't love me anymore. I knew that moment he was cheating. Because, only when there is a third party they have the disconnection, dismissiveness, numbness to drop such a devastating bomb. I am happy now on my own. I Learned to love me again, and get to know me in the present time. This has scarred me for life, because I am unable to let a man close to me. It's been 8 years and I am ok with that. I have unconditional love of my dogs. I don't need anything else.
I'm sorry for your losses. I lost both my brothers 3 years apart and even though it was nearly 6 years ago I still can't remove their numbers I don't think I ever will...😢💔
I'm sorry to hear that you've had to experience such pain and sadness. I lost both of my parents within a 2 year span ( 2013-2015). I hope that you continue to find healing as time passes.
Did anybody notice that there was an actual family that is gone? Not only is Heather murdered, Heather’s Father & Mother died, and her daughter died in car accident when she became a adult. I never heard of such damnation of bad luck. Lord have mercy🙏
@@anti-ethniccleansing465 No it doesn't.... but the fact remains Heather would still be alive today if Ignacio never had that affair. An affair that went on so long and even produced a child (potentially two if you count the aborted one).
@@bobshenix So? People have affairs all the time. They amount of times they end up in murder is probably less than 99.9% of the time! Did anyone else notice that Ignacio smirked when discussing the tattoo of his name on Shauna’s ankle? Creepy guy, feeling smug about it. He was the cause of his wife’s murder almost as much as the woman. What a poor excuse of a man. Weak in every way. I hope he was shunned by his police associates and others, afterwards. And the murderer…she seems utterly narcissistic. Talk about me, me, me! Disgusting person.
I felt bad for her husband... Having another mans brand on your wife and raising his son. If he does right by that kid then he has to be an incredible person
@@mar-shagazorpazorp6431 Look at the end of the day, raising the kid of the guy who fucked the absolute brains out of your wife and turned her into a crazed loveslave for him, is a tall order. There's no way around that. He's not a robot I presume. He deserves credit for it.
@@hansolo631 I agree with you. Children should be considered innocent of their parents wrong doings, that is 100% true. I think most people feel that way. However, there are people that take things out on children...man and woman have 6 kids, man leaves because it's too much struggle so the mother takes out her sadness and anger at the dad on the kids he left behind. Or lady is pregnant, she dies in childbirth so the father takes out his heartache at losing his woman on the child that was born. It shouldn't happen to an innocent child....but we have all seen stories where it has happened!! So I agree, I'm glad her husband did step up to raise the child of his wife and her lover. He could have put the child in foster care but I'm glad the children are being raised together. I just hope that it is a healthy environment for all of them and they get all the love and mental health support they all need...children and grownups.
After ALL OF THIS, Heather and Ignacio’s daughter died in a car wreck… what an absolutely sad, just devastating set of events.. he’s left to love with it all I guess.
This case could be made into a 10 episode Netflix original series and there still wouldn't be enough time to include all the in's and out's and twists and turns. Great job, TC!
The husband is just vile, no remorse for the sheer terror he inflicted on his wife. It is clear that Shawna is an absolute monster but he is just as sick. I understand his frustrations and dealing with her was probably awful but HE ruined what little bit of life she had left and got her killed, ruined that baby who now is growing up without either parent and just as sad is the daughter who died. That woman's legacy and line are now dead. Sad and disgusting.
He’s wrong for cheating definitely, but no one but shawna “got her killed”. The husband had no idea that having an affair with this woman would result in her being killed. By your logic I could say “she shouldn’t have married him, marrying him got her killed”.. don’t try to put her death on anyone but the killer, I’m sure he feels bad enough

She's a subhuman of the lowest category. I hope she gets her just deserts in prison but my heart always goes out to the children of the people involved. The nincompoop of a husband and his wench were better suited for each other. Heather seemed too beautiful and decent to be with someone like that!

That’s because the justice system is corrupt AF
Ignacio and Shawna deserved one another. It's unfortunate that Heather had those two losers in her life.

Omg that family has the worst luck… My heart goes out! Wow! No words

Also Shawna being married to a cop doesn't mean anything either as they are reluctant to talk about work when they get home...they are mostly coming home to get drunk or bang or both then work another job for extra pay..and sometimes when they're on their beat they have several side clicks so they really don't talk about work

Yeah, but only Lazaurus pulled a face like a chimpanzee....it's true, watch the interview.😂
@@SeanTR420 it does matter what you know
Oh yeah, that interview was crazy to say the least.
Yeah, it matters what you know. Police can bluff to try to get a confession, but if they guess wrong they ruin all their credibility and probably prompt the witness to get an attorney if they sense they're being tricked or lied to.

That made me so angry that all charges were dropped for him, and got to retire, like what the hell??
_AND_ he dumbly did that when she was wearing all of his clothes to try to frame him for the murder, so that he would get arrested and she would get all of his assets and be free to get back together with Ignacio. What a pathetic simp!

Right ! 😂😂😂
Did she try to frame her husband by wearing his clothes?
"...and the real killer is probably the husband who I was getting back with *or my other spurned lover aka my best friend aka my co-defendant*."
@@anti-ethniccleansing465 point is, for better or worse. As the OP said, he shoulda kept it in his pants, regardless.
@@jamierupert7563
It’s so easy to judge people and situations you don’t know, isn’t it?
@@anti-ethniccleansing465 he said at the beginning he was having affairs behind her back for years before this one
You hear of this happening a lot especially if people have lost a child .. the husband often doesn't know how to handle the wife's grief

Does anyone think she is a size 8? I normally wouldn't be mean... her lies are over the top, and include murder. All bets are off.

@@honigdachs. - Nope! It’s green where you water it!
@@MisplacedTexan I actually quite like that idiom, makes a lot of sense.
Yeah... don't step up in that mess!
When you reach the age they did, you options are limited so you become desperate. Desperate people make mistakes.
@@EricHamm well I had at 2 female friends when we were in our 20s who were both gorgeous, smart, had their life together except they were both dating married men. I tried to talk them out of it but they were in love. Needless to say it didn't work out.

It sounds more like she was in lust and truly in love

Wishing you a healthy healing process
I'm sorry for your losses. I lost both my brothers 3 years apart and even though it was nearly 6 years ago I still can't remove their numbers I don't think I ever will...😢💔
I'm sorry to hear that you've had to experience such pain and sadness. I lost both of my parents within a 2 year span ( 2013-2015). I hope that you continue to find healing as time passes.
It helps me to help others, not drink and stay busy....
Did anybody notice that there was an actual family that is gone? Not only is Heather murdered, Heather’s Father & Mother died, and her daughter died in car accident when she became a adult. I never heard of such damnation of bad luck. Lord have mercy🙏
Now, if you were a good Christian you'd say she must have done something to deserve it, for god to punish her so.
@@cocksure8430 No😞
@@cocksure8430 Or that the family is together in Heaven.
@@cocksure8430 I don't think they see death as a punishment. Judgement and punishment happens after for them.

“Dipping his wick!!” 😂😂
I haven’t heard that comment for quite awhile. 😁😂🕯
This whole mess could have been avoided so easily....Ignatio, you carry a big amount of guilt in this here, have fun living with it.
Cheating doesn’t deserve having a spouse be murdered, dude. Stop blaming Ignacio for Shawna and Michelle being CRAZY beeyotches.
@@anti-ethniccleansing465 No it doesn't.... but the fact remains Heather would still be alive today if Ignacio never had that affair. An affair that went on so long and even produced a child (potentially two if you count the aborted one).
@@bobshenix
So? People have affairs all the time. They amount of times they end up in murder is probably less than 99.9% of the time!
Someone cheating does not make them responsible for the person they are cheating with killing their spouse when they literally had no involvement in the murder whatsoever.
@@anti-ethniccleansing465 The law and morals don't always match up. He isn't legally guilty but he is partially responsible morally. His mistress however is both legally and morally responsible. They both sound like terrible people 🙄
@@KatrinaDancer
He is only morally responsible for cheating, but there could have been an understandable reason for that, so perhaps not even that. He is _NOT_ morally responsible whatsoever for his wife’s murder.
Again it gives me the chills: How many people are out there planning and executing a murder for their selfish reasons AND how many KNOW about those plans and choose to say NOTHING?? ! I wonder...
48 Hours did an investigation on this, I think it was called
'Click for a killer' they ended up disrupting/uncovering several murder for hire plots.
Millions, and also millions.
Shunned by his police associates? I doubt it. 40% of police beat their wives. Look it up
Yeah, that was disgusting. He tried to stop himself from smiling, but he was obviously so damn amused by her obsession with him.
I just love Mike! He’s cute and he’s funny and he does a good job! And also Mike, you go ahead and play with your intro!! Do it!
Hi Mike, thank you for keeping me sane during the plague years.
I heard this on a podcast. I wanted to see what the characters look like. Yes, characters lmao! Anyway, so glad to see you covered it!
Mike has very quickly made Tuesdays and Fridays 2 of the best days of my week❣️
Thanks Mike….I ❤️ ya!
P.S.
Hope the goo crew has a great week 🤗
Yes he surely has gotta love "OUR MIKE"!! KEEP IT UP LOVE YOU MIKE!
Totally agree 👍💯

The pace, tone and humor are the perfect combination. Love the way you’ve grown throughout. Hope you don’t stop anytime soon
@@ir0n392 I see what you're saying, but the guy is a piece of shit. He probably thinks he's hot shit because a girl would murder just to be with him. He probably takes it as a compliment. 🙄
@@ir0n392 nope he is ABSOLUTELY at fault🙄. IF you allow a dog you WILLINGLY know has rabies into your home & your child gets bitten & passes away it is NOT the fault of the 🐕 The company YOU keep CAN 'keep' you UP or DOWN as well🙄🤦♀️🤡

If he was LOYAL to his wife, THIS would have NEVER happened and she would STILL BE HERE! He most DEFINITLY has blood on his hands. Actions have CONSEQUENCES!
@@karascene13 No, you should not SEE what Ayman is saying. Heather's husband was a PEICE OF SHIT! Had he kept his vow's HE MADE and dedicated his life to his wife and mother of his child, SHE WOULD STILL BE HERE! He played STUPID games... played them with a PSYCO and won STUPID PRIZES. When you CHEAT it's a gamble you have to take. WHY the Hell did he make vow's he could NOT keep? HE should NOT have married Heather. HE'S the ONE who broke the vow's. HE was the sneak. HE SHOULDN'T have married her, marrying HER got HER KILLED, OBVIOUSLY HER marring HIM got HER KILLED!!! OBVIOSLY the mistress is a SHIT SACK but to dismiss the HUSBAND that strayed away in THE FIRST PLACE is laughable! They're BOTH on the SAME playing field.
