Just got it these days and right from the start I liked it. Smart device and up to now working fine. Navigation is refreshingly good. It is reduced down to the essentials, and it works flawless. Taking the right direction at confusing junctions is no problem as optional routes are also displayed and only the one to take is highlighted. Showing them all, even the not needed ones and highlighting the right one is just simple but perfect.

Thank you for the wonderful review! One question: is it possible to use with the phone turned off during the ride? Is there any trade off apart from the missing rerouting?

is there a reason why it cant be used on a motorcycle? why is it half the price of the Moto version?

Since the routes are "powered" by the community have you found the navigation changed whilst using it

I've not noticed anything change.. the heatmap still doesn't show any data. There's a prompt at the end of ever ride to rate the route , 1>5, but as with many rides there's good bits and bad bits and giving it a single score isn't a real representation of the different sections which in all likely hood is all another rider would overlap with.

I’m considering purchasing. Is there a route app option other than to use google maps? I’d prefer to route plan on the Komoot app, is this possible?

You can import and export GXP files from the app, so you can use Kamoot to build your routes.

The navigation isn't powered by google, only the map you see in-app is. Beeline has custom routing in some areas, including the UK. You can also import GPX files as mentioned :)

Interesting! I guess this is where the issue stem from. Google Maps has no issues navigating me on the fastest route using available trails/roads/tracks, but the Beeline app picks some creative and convoluted routes, as well as missing elevation.

You'd probably appreciate being kept off byways, bridleways, & unpaved tracks if you were on a road bike, & even more so on a folder.

It would be so straithforward for the app to provide the option of byways (etc.) as part of the setup.

@@Niche_Biker Would it? I'm not a developer, but know just enough to know that would require two different routing algorithms, plus maps that showed & distinguished such unpaved routes, or else different maps according to which option was picked. It'd be very straightforward in the UI, in the back-end, maybe not so much.

What's the point of that annoying music?
