      Hey 👋 again!
      So i ended up buying a aqua bag 190 pounds. Now i didn't buy from manufacturer but a store that sold them. Im getting ready today to set it up and notice the bag has a seam its just under the aqua bag logo and seam goes around the whole bag. Is this normal? In time im wondering with all the hitting its going to receive will that seam become a problem? My thinking is the bag should not a have a seam around it. Your opinions are greatly respected thank-you.

      Some people are complaining about creases and the reason is they are not putting enough water pressure. I got one of these bags (120lbs) and loved it but 60 days~ in it started leaking. Pin hole leak. Emptied it and plugged it with some kind of wet suit adhesive but we’ll see.

    Hi Sensei Jason,
    Thank you for your evaluation of the 190 lbs Aqua punching bag. You're right on the money with hitting the bag and not worrying about damage to your hand joints or foot joints (I also kick/knee/elbow it). The gym that I go to has it and also I have a 75 lbs for my home dojo gym. Thanks again for your outstanding video and I look forward to your next martial arts training and equipment videos.

    my brudda what is the structure you’re hanging the bag on

  • @SimplicityForGood
    @SimplicityForGood Год назад +2

    but if you want to work on your footwork, changing direction, side-stepping nad going around the bag and anticipating movement is the heavy bag still good for this or do you mean that one then should go down from the 85 kilos bad to the 55 kilos bag+ I weigh 85 kilos myself right now... I am just gonna get restarted at home after a year of a hip injury and I want something that runs on my fighting spirit and makes me take out my anger while building technique and foot work along with that in my workouts... But, I am not a professional boxer like you, though I am not a beginner either...
    How to choose and how to get the bag up and down during the week in a way that makes you motivated to get the bag up before the workouts?

    • @SENSEIJASON
      @SENSEIJASON  Год назад

      The lightest bag to the heaviest bag will give you plenty of movement. If not by your punches, you can always shoulder bump or frame your arm out to push.
      Bag weight isn’t the issue when it comes to movement. It’s more about how you are going to mount or hang the bag. If your bag is propped up in a corner space, there is no room to move freely. If your stand gives you zero obstructions 360 degrees around your bag, then you can create and practice lots of movement.

    Does anyone know if having salt water inside the bag would affect the material that coats the inside of the bag/ finding a way to increase density thereby increasing final weight would be detrimental to the bag? I figure that displacement would obviously be the same due to the limitation of filling at the plug but not sure about the rest. I have to imagine that the bag is created with the ability to deal with weight filled completely full which would take a very long time through the plug given that a basketball air pumps smallest hole fits through but I really wanted to see if I could come up with a clever solution as you can see on my channel I have this bag but even at max capacity it still runs away from me quite a bit.

      I will say that there is a lot more movement with the 75lb bag compared to the 120 and 190. So it might be better for footwork and movement. But with the 120 and 190 you still get a decent amount of movement. I'd say if you are over 160lbs go with the 120 lb bag. I weight 147lbs and I still get good work from the 190 lb aqua bag.

      I think it would feel incredibly awkward to have a half filled bag.

    • @csl9495
      @csl9495 6 месяцев назад

      Horrible idea. You don't want to punch into a saggy rubber bag half filled. I would say you would need to get two. But the heavy 190 would be the priority. It's not about building power but more so what you can do with it. Mainly the largest one is the only one you can throw body blows on (and barely too if you want a good head to body feel). If you get the smaller ones (12 inch) they would have no body blow options, and they will fly alot more when hit. Thus giving you an opportunity to be evasive such and slipping dodging.
      These are the only thing to consider for training application, not what weight class you're in.
      I have the 12inch 35lbs one. I can punch on it with all out power, I think I pack a decent punch too but I'm smaller and definitely no heavy weight, although I've seen bigger guys hit it and it offers the resistance needed... essentially it aint what you think is still a heavy bag feel. But the versatility it gives for working your footwork and head movement is a must. Again only down fall is no body blow. I for that I still sometimes have to whip out my traditional heavy bag. Being slick on this bag this involve some more advance techniques so of your just looking to punch and develop standard infighting feel and power then get the largest bag.
      Also another thought on the feel of the punching. It depends. Sometimes when it's warm you get a really good bounce upon impact and this aids in you throwing combination punches, etc, and it feels good. But when it's cold, molecular you gotta think the water inside crystallizes a bit thus the feeling becomes more dense and this doesn't feel good on your hands or joints relative to a quality heavy bag.

    You may hit hard dude, but your jaw seems constantly exposed from the hands position. No offense, Just an opinion

      Hey bro no offense, but what you said seems like something a beginner would say. Your hands can be anywhere as long as you know how to manage distance. Plus you can use the bag in different ways, more offensive or defensive, totally up to the goal of the workout. I thank you really, and thanks for sharing your honest thoughts. These were mine. Respect to you.

    1 Peter 3:12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
    13 And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?
    14 But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;
    15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
    16 Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.
    17 For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.
    18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit
