      Especially the past few years.
      He was funny. But as a club comic.
      Disaster special was hack garbage and made me go from a fan to a hater.
      Dont care about the poors or whatever.

He likes being confrontational but not in a real way, that would alienate some fans. It is my disappointment in his choices. I still think he's funny.       40 is the new 20! You still have so much to do and so many things to experience! I was one of those awkward kids that every adult in my life called "a late bloomer". I didn't date, didn't have goals, didn't know what the fuck I was going to spend my life doing. Didn't even start to feel like I had a clue until I hit my 30s. Everyone gets there in their own time. I'm 47 now and only just hitting my stride and it's great.

      It would if people weren't so ignorant of the basics of government... Because of that It makes sense to me. We focus so much on the president as a king or queen but most people don't know the diffrence between The Constitution (which lays out how our government is structured) or The Declaration of Independance (from England...) let alone anything about whats in either; that the idea that the legislatours have lobbiests write legislation, Is just another day in moron land.

    Just a note about Jack's Big Music Show - my kids and I LOVED that show and we miss it so much...can't seem to find it anywhere now.

    I remember watching that episode with my son. Omgoodness! I was surprised and excited and confused and in denial at the realization.     I grew up watching Jon on DTS, he's taught me so much about critical thinking, doing my own research and looking behind the scenes for the ridiculousness without going down the crazy rabbit hole of conspiracy that the extreme left/right go through.

    I wish Jon understood that the respect and love so many people have for him is not in any way reactionary. We don’t say we trust him merely because the rest of the media has failed so badly. We actually know the valuable work he has been doing for 20 years. And people wouldn’t vote for him solely as a middle finger to “The Establishment.”

They don't have to be a Rhodes schooler or a member of mensa just someone that has the best interests of everyday hard working americans at heart. Katie porter I could see doing a good job. Trump bloviated numerous times of "draining the swamp" then he brings on all the wall street vultures on his team from Goldman Sachs, blackrock etc. those people are literally the swamp. he campaigned as a populist but governed as a bog standard corporate stooge. Making the tax cuts for the wealthy permanent but the middle class tax cuts temporary really cemented what he's all about. If he wins it's gonna be more of the same.

    No, Jon.... you genuinely ARE, and have been, the most trusted newscaster in the country. And I'd estimate a solid 65% of the country deeply and sincerely wants you to run for President.
    Now, that's not to say that we aren't utterly fed up with the status quo. Because we are. But we know that you are also fed up, and you understand the inner workings of US politics. And we know that, should you ever decide to seek office, you'd serve with integrity.
    The best candidate for a position of power is and always has been the person who doesn't seek power.

    Jon is a cultural icon for so many millennials. For me he was a gateway to a more liberal and balanced point of view in my later 20s that helped pull me away from right wing nationalistic ideology. I feel like his commentary is needed now more than ever, really missed him during those trump years.
