Ok so a bag of wine like that is called a goon bag in Australia. So cool. With the wind try a sock on the end of the phone near speaker or pull your sleeve down to cover the speaker. Also glad you are using music instead of wind noise. Loved the video and the singing was just so good 😂
It’s not an interstate, it’s State Road 58 or the Bakersfield-Tehachapi Highway. You’ll get wind until the Sierras. It’s been a very windy spring here in Southern California which has caused the weather to be really weird.
The PCTA says the "Sierra seation" is from KMS to Sonora, but the PCTA is a quasi-governmental organization, so you get what you get. In fact, the Sierra Nevada in its entirety extends from Tehachapi Pass in the south (the border of the southern Sierra and the Transverse Ranges) to Fredonyer Pass in the north (the border of the Sierra and the Carcades). So ... when you climb up and away from Tehachapi Pass (State Route 58) in your next video, you WILL have entered the Sierra. Be safe; keep at it!
Wow Lil' Chap, nice filming of the mouse at the beginning of the video, or was that just trick videoing and editing? Yay!!!!! You finished the first map, onto the 2nd one for the Sierra's!!!! Way to go!!!!! Congrats on moving along and completing the first map!!!! I am so seriously happy for you and very proud of you. You are such a great inspiration. Thank you Lil' Chap!!!! I'm hoping to make it to a spot where you guys are at some point on the trail and provide you some trail magic. I would love to meet you and Hammer at some point on this trail. The music sounds like ‘80s Japanese elevator music at an electronics company. Not a criticism, just an observation. PS if Hammer takes request, and since he likes The Cure, I suggest he do karaoke of “Killing an Arab”. It’s a good desert hiking song.
