All these animals you encounter are protein! You could’ve had a mouse-ramen bomb. Appreciate the commentary on water and food resupplies. Important for people to see what goes through your mind and logistics. You can go a long time without food - hunger pain, cravings suck, but you don’t die. But you can’t last long without salt and water, so not unwise for you to carry more than you thought you needed if going through uncertain territory. Nice job.
Hammer!!! Good luck out there, I hiked in 2016. I’m reliving my hike thru you thank you. Love all and cherish everything while you’re out there, buddy !!
Here’s a recipe that people I watch on the AT are sharing, mix the Ramen noodles-the baby red potatoes and add bacon bits it actually looks tasty 😋 Thanks for sharing the views! Stay safe!
Glad you & Chap are enjoying yourselves! I do hope Fireball is able to join you guys again before too long. She does have good energy 😊 Keep it safe out there 🥾
Those little clay figurines are likely not an LNT issue, strictly speaking, but they are probably in the category of littering or illegal disposal of private property on public lands. I'd say they are not LNT because they are apparently not being left by hikers/campers for whose land usage LNT primarily applies. There are many usages of public lands -- for example, some companies are engaged in logging the forests. Obviously LNT does not apply to them. Likewise, the purpose of this guy (most likely a potter in Quartz Hill, California) is to offer some kind of entertainment or moral support to hikers, but despite how well meaning his intentions may be, his land usage is likely in violation of federal law on public property and trespassing on private property, which seem to me to be much more serious infractions than alleged LNT transgressions. So is there any chance you will reunite with Fireball in the coming weeks? Be safe; keep at it!

At least clay is inert and won’t pollute like plastic or blow around.
Blow drying his hair... Hahahaha
Wind farms are so ugly and a waste.
