Life is so weird and wonderful. I never went to college, left “home” on a bicycle tour of the US and Hawaii when I was eighteen. Eventually settled down in Tahoe, lived 40 amazing years in what was a constant exploration of the backcountry wilderness and some trips back to Hawaii and Costa Rica on a shoestring budget. Being house poor ain’t so bad if you live in an amazing place. I sold my house hit the road in a van, toured Alaska and Canada the lower 48 West Coast, without money woes but you always have to be prepared for the worst. I hate that women are stalked by weird people, that women can’t feel safe anywhere! Brings me to my sailboat, I bought a 40 foot sailboat to sail to wherever. No matter how dangerous sailing is, it is not as dangerous as America since trump. So now I know that as America crumbles, law and order mean nothing in 2025 I can sail away and prove that you CAN fix stupid by jumping in a van or a boat and wondering off into another sunset where people have respect for each others, for women and children.

I;m 76 years ld and I have attempted to escape my clinical depression my whole life by going to places of natiral beauty, I have always felt happier by the ocean, in the mountains and forests, and surrounded by wildlife, But the problem with this type of cure is that my deptrssion follows me to all these great places and sometimes even ruins them for me! I have had better luck with cognitive behavioural therapy and meditation. That's not to say that I will stop going to these places, but I have extra help when I get there.

Honestly living in my car has made me alot happier.
I don't have to live with people or pay rent and I get to travel.
Is it dangerous? Oh yes I sleep by a large sharp knife just in case 😂
