Perfect trading…. Freshly cooked home made brownies make a great trade!

When we worked on the mothership in the gulf we traded a 1 kg bag of rice for a 5kg box of banana prawns! It's great to trade with the trawlers❤❤

So must more you can do with prawns that I didn’t know, green prawns, cook em in oil, then mash in a touch of finely ground prawns shells to make prawn oil, than prawn paste to make prawn toast, then the deep fried heads (which i didn’t know were a delicacy,) and i haven’t actually touched the prawn meat yet! I had no clue, i seen it on RUclips, 1kg of prawns and they used the entire 1kg in things I thought? Oh yeah.. the prawn toast looked next level..

We were happy to buy them but the brownies were a higher currency. Cheers R & K

I guess the closer to Indo the more rubbish, or is it from elsewhere?

It actually looks like a lot has come up the Australian coast with the south easterly winds but probably most is blown in from the Pacific. Cheers R & K

Hi Rob and Karen, loved the latest video as we do all of them. We also love to troll for Pelagics as we cruise along, and use the tolling board like yourselves (usually around 6 knots). However, ours seems to lift out of the water quite often, and I’m thinking it’s the size of the board itself - we have the size 7 (only one in the store at the time). Interested in your thoughts, and what size board you use.
Have a great time in Indo and stay safe

Hi Mick & Donna, We really appreciate you commenting and we're so glad you're enjoying following our travels. We have to confess, our fishing success has all been due to our good friend Spero, who showed us how to set up our rig a number of years ago. We have a blog with all the details straight from the horse's mouth you might like to take a look at. dreamtimesail.blogspot.com/2022/08/how-we-catch-all-those-fish-on-our.html
Hope it helps. We haven't had a problem with the board surfacing since we used Spero's suggested lengths. Good luck. We hope the fish come on board in numbers for you. Cheers R & K
