    I just made Moo Shu Chicken there was more to it, so I can't wait to try this. I buy a boneless pork loin for about 22.00 and slice and grind it up for recipes like these and dumplings, soup, pot stickers, and my spaghetti sauce. It's very inexpensive that way. Thanks so much for this, have your cookbook coming!!❤

    Love this dish! I make it with thinly sliced chicken. I learned how to make it from your first video where your daughter made the homemade tortillas.
    If you want a cheat timesaver, buy a bag of pre-shredded cole slaw mix and use that instead of shredding the cabbage. You'll also get shredded carrots in there! 😁

    I made this last night and it turned out wonderful -- even though I didn't have any green onions. (I did have wood ears, however.) Sometimes it's the sequence of steps that makes a difference between good and great, and this sequence worked beautifully. Using flour tortillas instead of pancakes was also one of those "of course, why didn't I think of that" ideas. But since I didn't have enough tortillas on hand, I made some rice for just in case ... and the dish went well with the rice, too. This is going to be one of my staples from now on.

    Greetings! Moo Shoo pork is one of my all time faves to make at home. I personally like to use an extra bit of Hoisin sauce in the marinade as well. What I really want to pass on is my tip for the "pancakes" used for rolling. Instead of tortillas, I use canned refrigerator biscuits that I roll out as thinly as possible and then cook on a griddle. I can't tell you how delicious they are. Peace and blessings!

    The egg issue in the States is because of massive culling due to avian flu. Small farms though usually have eggs at decent prices still
    I often buy the combo pack of pork chops. The family only likes the loin ones (I think), so I turn the other ones (look like yours) into stir fry cubes.
    Thus looks yummy. Was that rice wine or rice wine vinegar?

    • @FloLum
      @FloLum  Год назад

      Ah… thanks for clearing up the egg issue, Tracy. I’m using rice wine, not vinegar. But you could totally sub that in, if that’s what you have.

      @@FloLum speaking of eggs, it is never clear to me what size eggs you use, Flo. There are four sizes of eggs you can buy here in BC as you know. Can you plz clarify what size you use. I like to buy the jumbos. (Extra Large), but you can't always get the really big ones. Also, I', in Vancouver, can I get you new cookbook locally or do I have to get it from Amazon? Luv your recipes soo much. xo

    • @FloLum
      @FloLum  Год назад

      I usually use XL eggs but it doesn’t really matter what size you use. Use what you have. It’s not like baking where the size could really change the texture of the end product. Sometimes I use jumbos that are even bigger than the XL, if that’s what I have. Unfortunately, my cookbooks are only available on Amazon.

    • @carlisimon8148
      @carlisimon8148 Год назад

      I was trying to understand what you meant by the black stuff. Assuming you mean the black fungus. You don’t have to use whatever you don’t want to. My recipes are totally adaptable. But I think pork butt may be too tough but you can always give it a try and see.
