As a SDR in cyber sales I find myself coming back to your channel to review videos like "how to stay relaxed during a call" if i had a rough session. Or "whats possible in sales" if i need motivation. So thanks man you've been a big help. Im on track to clear 100k this year!

Great stuff, maybe add subtitles or remove music while the phone call is playing.
    THANK YOU

Matt im a fan of your videos. When im doing cold calls i often struggle to get past the receptionist saying "i know my boss is not interested and i have instructions to hang up on you."
What is your response to this?

in most cases i end up being able to contact them via mail, which as we all know, leads to nothing

Hey bro, don't pitch the receptionist. What I've personally done is act like there is a specific problem that you are there to solve. In the case of the guy in the video I would say something like, "yeah I'm calling about {{BUSINESS NAME}} social media accounts problem I had to fix, could you put me through to {{BUSINESS OWNER}}". Say it in a very short, fast, authoritative way, as if you just need to speak with the business owner about a problem that the receptionist doesn't know about.

As a multiple six figure earner whose been cold calling for over 10 years at an enterprise level in digital transformation, I’d give you some simple advice.
Use the same relaxed yet assertive tonality as a doctor (use Don Draper from Mad Men as a rough example) Then just say this: “ I was wondering if you could help actually? Is *John* available? She’ll say “sorry which John?” Then you say “Apologies, John Smith….thanks” then say nothing. They will 9/10 put you through as they’ll presume you’re someone important who knows him.
If that doesn’t work another little trick is to go through to another department via the switchboard like Marketing or Purchasing. The receptionist or switchboard will transfer you and then when the person answers you say “hi is this John Smith?” They’ll say “sorry, you’re through to the marketing team”..you apologise and then say “I thought I was being transferred to John Smith your Information Security Manager”…they’ll usually transfer you or give you his direct number in my experience. Tonality, relaxed tone and not using too many words will get you the results you want.
      All the best!
