I'd like to thank you for taking the time to show us how to use the front panel buttons for manual programming. Very handy to know especially if out in the field somewhere and ones phone may have gotten damaged or battery dead etc. Thank you, very informative !!!
Thanks for watching! For someone that uses computers most of the day, I find I don't always like to mess around with computer programming my radios and I find knowing how to program them on the front panel of the radio much more useful. 73! -Kevin
Thank you for the video! It's a decent analog radio. Not quite as sensitive as a superhet, of course, but it gets the job done locally. Feels good in the hand, excellent RX audio. By the way, I could also hear your KXI-41 weather station (162.500) on it all the way up in MKE when VHF propagation was good:)
Great video! Thanks for sharing! Also, when I seen your back yard it automatically brought me back to Chicago 😂. I was thinking that looks like house in the Chicago area because I know there might be an alley on the other side of the garage! Stay safe sir.
Help! It seems between "reading and writing" on the app I've screwed up the programing. Can anyone suggest how to reset everything back to factory specs? Or wipe the programing clean so I can reinstall programs through Chirp?
Have you done the key presses to change this radio to GMRS? I have done this and got to use it in GMRS and have listened to HAM since I do not have my HAM license yet.
I have not tried to change it yet. I am thinking about picking up their GMRS version of this radio so I can have a dedicated radio for each. 73! -Kevin
I just got an H3 last week and haven't had a chance to look at it yet, but I've got a video coming up on it. To change it though on the H3 you should be able to press the MENU button and then find menu item 33. That is the menu for language, scroll through the languages until you find English then press MENU again to confirm your choice. That should get your language changed. Thanks 73!

One thing to add. The BL button is the Backlight when the screen is dark. When the screen is lit, it toggles the Bluetooth on and off.
I like this radio. Most of the bugs have been fixed but I'll wait for version 3.
Cheers for the programming info.👍
Technically, version 2 is the 3rd version 😜
I've noticed a few small things but overall so far the radio has worked as I would expect, specially for one that is fairly inexpensive.
Thank you for a demo that illustrates programming without the preprogrammed bluetooth app.
could this radio be used as a police scanner

I see in the box to the right of the frequencies it says OFF. What does that mean? What is OFF?
my control pad won't let me change the offset
You should be able to unlock it so it opens up all HAM and GRMS by pressing the PTT and # then turn on.
How do you access those blue secondary functions on the keypad?
Got the grms version - can i do both grms & ham on these

How do I change the language from Chinese to English on an H3

You can switch between HAM and GMRS... mine can do both
Beware these people are paid to give good reviews, I'm sending my back. Does not program repeaters on Grms if unlocked.
can you get marine vhf on this?
My same radio SUCKS! I just got it yesterday and maybe I suck at using it but it's terrible so far.
Turn off, press down PTT and 0 and turn on and it should be in GMRS mode with GMRS channels.
Thanks, I'm going to try that out this weekend! 73, Kevin
Also press the menu lock it in to GMRS , HAM, or Both.
