Yeah!!!! John Seabaugh, here... thanks for mentioning me and using my comment. I can't afford the AC30 and the high end Brian May equipment, but I do have a BMGuitar and I think after watching this, I'll have to get the MV50! Thanks!!! Your video/demo is great!
I think the first clip is the AC30 and the second one the MV50. I have giged with my AC15 for quite a few years but just recently got an MV50, and it does the job perfectly whilst being a lot nicer to my back! Lovely comparison by the way!! I'd like to see more like this :)
I'll be the stinker who swims against the tide... I'll say video 1 is the MV50-AC, and 2 is the AC30! Either way, I love 'em both. The MV50 definitely is more affordable. Thanks again for doing these videos. I really appreciate it! I can watch and listen to these demos all day! So please, if you get the time...do some more, especially with the Guyton and/or anything related to Brian May and his gear! - John
Now I know what I will be taking with me when I want to play outside of my house. The AC30 I have is a bit too much to lug down the 57 steps to the road below. The MV50-AC sounded fine and dandy so that will probably be my next item to be purchasing.
Ahhh I love this video hahaha!!You always manage to put a smile on my face by the amazing playing!!!! Just a guess but I think Video 1 is the AC30 and the 2nd video is the MV50 :) Keep up the good work guys! :):)
Just come across these two videos, I much prefer the authentic tone of the ac30, but the mv has a really clean sound to it, every time I the sixpence hit a string you could here the rasp of the serations,, great vid, the bmg sounds fantastic also
Hey! Maybe I missed the answer... but which one was the MV50? lol Also, was the BMG an older model with the Burns Tri-Sonics in it? Or, a newer one with the Brian May single coils based on the Tri-Sonics? Just wondering... Thanks!
Man, that TBX sounds amazing. I bet you that if you compared a more recent reissue AC30, you'll find some that sound worse than the MV50. Also, what the heck, that BC112 cab sounds great! I think it sounds better than the V212. They should make a MV50 cab that can actually dock the MV50 with the power supply.
Thank you Alessandro. In answer to your question, it doesn’t matter where the ohms switch is, because it’s coming out of the Line Out, not the Speaker Out.
More Brian May garbage tone. The MV50 does Brian May junk well, but I can't tell if it is good for anything else. Before BM, there was VOX. And after Brian May, there is VOX. He didn't make VOX famous. And VOX will be remembered after Brian May is forgotten

The first one's got to be the AC-30, which makes the second one the MV50. Great vids man!

One of the best comparison videos I have ever seen. Great job.
Both sound great. I'm slightly preferring the sound of the first one, so I really hope that's the MV50 to save me a hell of a lot of money.
First is the ac30
Ps: It's amazing to hear Andrew play! All the guys play amazing - definitely guitarists who I look up to.
Great lil amp! Alnico Blue and 1x12” wins for me, the other two sound darker and closer.
I think that 1 is the ac 30 and 2 the mv50
They both sound extremely close to each other. Great video
I own the MV 50 Clean. I run it through a dual Celestion 10 in. Cambridge cab that the head crapped out on. It sounds fantastic!
A review of the Guyton would be awesome.. I'd love to see that beast up close and hear it's range.
Great video again. Thanks for that. I think clip 1 was MV50 and clip 2 was AC30, but it's a close call. I almost hope I'm wrong!
Ahhh I love this video hahaha!!You always manage to put a smile on my face by the amazing playing!!!! Just a guess but I think Video 1 is the AC30 and the 2nd video is the MV50 :) Keep up the good work guys! :):)
Any chance of you demoing the VOX VT100X? Specifically the modelling functions.
The natural BMG looks so much better and closer in colour to the original than the standard red one!
.

I would love to see a review of the Guyton!
A comparison MV 50 AC vs AC 30 VR in BM mode?...plus a Guyton Red Special Review? Both would be great!
Gotta say I love the BBC points of view voice for the comments!
Your reviews are excellent!
I would love to see a Guyton Red Special review!

Great video series, thank you very much: one question, when you go direct to the audio interface how do you set the Ohms switch? Thanks!
Thank you Alessandro.

astringsuk thank you very much!
Video 1 is the AC30.
First one is the AC30 me thinks!
More Brian May and the Red Special!
I think Video 1 is the AC30 and Video 2 is the MV50 👍
Sound 2 is the mv50. It sounds slightly stronger than sound 1.h
Wait, so is some sort of treble booster used, or not?
#1 is the Vox AC30 and #2 is the MV50.
How vital is turning the MV50-AC full blast to achieve the BM tone when driving the 8 and 12 inch speakers Vox sells with it?
Brad Falkner - Hey Brad. I had the MV50s at around 9-10 o’clock, way under half volume. Use the gain to set the saturation.
+astringsuk still waiting for the andrew guyton red special review. would love a video please.
Is there another video coming? I know this was ages ago and you said you would do something else.
Hi Jeremy, there is another one on the way! Will be uploaded in the next couple of weeks!
Cool, looking forward!
Example 1 was the ac30. I preferred example 2!
The first is Ac30
Second is AC30
Very very good.
First is AC 30, second is MV 50 AC
First one sounds a little deeper, so I would think the MV50 is the second one.
Video one is the AC30 the 2nd is the MV50AC
1st is the AC 30, 2nd is the MV50
Number one sounds most like AC30, from my limited knowledge at least!
Both
1 is the ac30 which has a much fuller sound the 2 is the mv50 sounds thinner
If number one is the mv50...that would be something...is the earth flat after all?
To me the MV50 does sound better, but not in a way that can't be achieved with a good boost in front of the ac30
guitar one ie the MV 50 ...2nd ac 30...thats my vote
I want to hear the reverb and tremolo...oh, wait...
2 is the mv50
A: MV50 b:ac30
1 = ac30
