    Although there are many and beautiful bike paths in Paris, It is always an adventure. I have done it twice now, once in the pouring rain from Gare de Paris-Nord to Gare de Paris-Bercy.

      I'm pretty certain that will be our one and only time riding in Paris. The biggest issue is not knowing our way. Also the traffic noise made it difficult to hear each other even with our Sena helmets. I am glad for the experience though.🙂

      The whole trip was quite the experience - and such a positive one with all the kind people we met. The abundance of dedicated cycling paths made it a real treat. Thanks for coming along for the ride. 🙂

      Hi T&S - thanks for tagging along with us and watching all of the last video - it was a long one!
      We are feeling kind of lost this summer with no big adventures and wishing we were on a cycle tour somewhere. But that's ok and with any luck, we will return to Europe next year for another one.
      I see you collaborated with another RUclipsr - I will have to watch and also your latest video that you posted today. I'm so far behind (Olympics got in the way)
      Take care and keep up the adventures.
      L&R

      @@gogorobandles thanks for the update. We can only imagine how eager you both must be for another adventure riding tour. Truly amazing feat! It was great to catch up and collab with @WillGowKelowna from Will Solos Travels. Thanks for watching our videos and let us know if interested in a collaboration one day. That would be neat to share both experiences. Cheers! T&S

    Another great video from a lovely couple! Thank you so much for reminding me that I never go to (the center of) Paris with a bike😄 But seriously, too many people, too many cars and too much noise😵‍💫
    Thanks for sharing your trip in the details as you did!☺️ Hopefully there will be another trip around the corner soon for you guys🙏🏼

    A great tour, thanks for sharing, how did the bikes hold up?

    • @gogorobandles
      @gogorobandles  Месяц назад +1

      @@grahamsullivan1237 hey Graham - it was an amazing trip and I really miss touring but will have to wait until next year.
      The bikes performed really well. Just a couple of minor problems. A bolt on Robs front rack broke with about 3 weeks to go, which he was able to fix. We also had some noise coming from the front which Rob ended up diagnosing as needing to adjust the brakes and then all was good.
      The tires handled all the different road surfaces really well.
      I realized that my bike is too big for me and I actually rode it through the tour with my stem on backwards to try and adjust for a bike that's too big. Although it didn't seem to bother the handling and because I also had difficulty lifting my leg over the bar - I've traded it for a new bike - one that fits me. Lesson learned.
      Otherwise we think the TOUGHROADS is a good, solid bike.

    Thanks for sharing your experience! Can you share what system you used to talk to each other while riding? I’m assuming it was a Bluetooth device but does it require a cellphone to use it? Thank you.

    • @gogorobandles
      @gogorobandles  Месяц назад +1

      @@richardwalker5004 hi Richard. They are Sena helmets with a built-in Bluetooth system. No app needed once the helmets are paired. They came in very handy riding through cities and also just nice to share thoughts etc.
      They also have a portable unit that you can attach to your helmet strap. We have those in Mexico but we've found the battery on them not to be as long lasting as the helmets. I've also read about a different portable one that has good battery life that you attach to your helmet. Can't remember the brand but I believe it's for motorcycles.

    Hi Rob & Les, greetings form The Netherlands. I have enjoyed the videos form you're trip. One question...it seems you use some kind of a communication system. Which one is it and you are like it?

      @@gkamphuis61 Hi there - I am glad you enjoyed the videos.
      We use Sena helmets which have a built-in communication system. They work super well and have a long battery life before needing to recharge. They were great at keeping in touch during the ride plus they have a built in radio to listen to if that's your thing. Thanks for the question🙂
