    A lot of people says that Metallica hasn’t made anything good since black album. But I’m pretty sure if they heard the songs like this, they would have loved them. So the problem isn’t the quality of the songs, but their understanding of aging and good music.

      A lot of people say they've made a lot of good music since black album......so called die hard metal minority is just talking that way that you are referring to,.... from the ride the lightning till today......i feel sorry for them,...to miss out so much good music because of their stiff narrowminded view of the world

      @silly8395 Год назад +12

      @@miguel598 it's really subjective,....i think it's one of the best metallica albums ever....don't know what exactly have you expected...it's modern metallica sounding album with a handful of great riffs, hetfield singing is one of the best hes ever done, versatile, modern sounding, catchy, ....

      Hardwired to Self destruct is a keeper for life. There's only two or three bad songs out of twelve! Thats amazing. A worthy follow up to Death Magnetic, Which is also and incredible album.

    • @adriandominguez3584
      @adriandominguez3584 Год назад +11

      It's not the main reason for me, they make songs soo long and repetitive sometimes, but they still got it.

    • @bloodlinefilms
      @bloodlinefilms Год назад +9

      @@adriandominguez3584for sure the arrangement needs some trimming but the production is lame too. lars drums sound great on the new album but the guitars havnt bit hard since st anger. they have a flappy wet fart sort of sound. they need mean guitar sounds again.

    • @RyansShack
      @RyansShack Год назад +12

      Yep. The songs are fine, it's just that overproduction and modern tones they use now on the modern albums. Its doesn't work good with thrash metal. Thrash needs to be more raw and old school

    • @bloodlinefilms
      @bloodlinefilms Год назад +6

      @@RyansShack i think a proper thrash album done with the level of production on the black album could be the heaviest metal album ever. the problem is they arent willing to commit to totally raw metal nor super polished uber production and so they get the worst of both and the arrangements need work too.

    As a musician, it’s definitely the way their new music has been produced. It’s much dryer and punchier. His vocals in their old work, was layered, with more reverb than nowadays. So it’s definitely an issue of production. Imo many of their songs would be incredibly hard if they has the same production as demonstrated here. This is incredibly well done. Jasons background screams are such an amazing detail 🙏

    I see alot of people saying this format is making them appreciate the albums more or see how the crowd that mostly likes the early albums will now appreciate the newer stuff.
    I think it shows that the production/sound of the last three records is really lacking a lot of the energy that was conveyed even on the records back in the day. The production is now sanitized and they just don’t have the energy to deliver like this today.
    No hate, but there’s good reason people prefer the first four records to everything else.
